The truth is, they're not looking like that top madrid. They've got stars and quality players, but it hasn't driven them to that top level of a long term consistency yet. Barce aren't even that consistent either, they just know how to capitalize on some opportunities when Real Madrid false to do the same.

I agree with you, we expect a consistent performance from a big team like Real Madrid, but their performance is not good enough, and at the moment they are disappointing us with their performance, and they are failing to give their best, as I see it, in other leagues they could have won several matches, but they drew with many smaller teams and lost points. However, this season Barcelona is definitely making the most of their opportunities and they are at the top, but if Real Madrid does not correct their small mistakes and keeps losing points, they can fall behind by a big point gap, and at the moment they are 7 points behind Barcelona, which is not a small gap.

As long as Vinicius is around, Real Madrid won't amount to a damn thing. i don't think i've ever seen another player whose ego is so disproportionate to his actual talent. Every time he gets the ball, he just puts his head down and guns for the goal without looking up.

We are not talking of individual brilliance here. I agree with you that Vini jr is always good when he has the ball but whether Vinicius is in the first team or not Madrid is still suffering, and looking back at their previous performances they only had 2 major issues this season:

• Relying on individual brilliance(Mbappe and Vini jr).
• Their defense was not stable due to injured players.

Finally, when Mbappe was injured, then Valvarde picked up and help them in some games, then we thought the struggle was over, to my greatest suprise, they lost to Mallorca and also lost to Bayern at home. So did Vini not feature in any of this matches? he did right?, so why did they lose.
I don't expect anyone to talk about Madrid frontline now, because they have the qualities they need to provide G/A, but we should rather focus on their defense, they defended very very poor against Bayern which caused so much trouble for them.
My point is, Madrid are stable upfront but need more work at the back, and if care is not taken we could see them going out of the Champions league and leaving the title race as well.

7 points is a huge difference which Barcelona will not let go off, what if Real Madrid happens to lose again this weekend have you thought of that too. That club is so unstable and you cannot tell if they will win or lose. Real Madrid is not strong enough to beat Barcelona in the camp nou so I still think Barcelona will extend the lead over Real Madrid further when they meet. I did not have any belief in management capability of Arbeloa as he is very young and lack of experience as a head coach. He is not at a same coach management quality as Xabi Alonso and even Xabi did not fulfill requirements and expectation of Real Madrid, sacking him and replacing him by Arbeloa is a very bad decision. Personally I see Real Madrid would  have imagined of a scenario when they finish this season without any title with Arbeloa. As replacing Xabi by Arbeloa and hope or believe that they will win titles with Arbeloa is very unrealistic.

Truly, the chances of real madrid winning the Spanish laliga is hanging by a thread, because seven points is quite a lot of points to close down with just eight games left, because the problem with this real madrid team is their form, which you have already pointed out, because I don't think that they are good enough to win six out of the remaining eight games, talk less of winning eight over eight.

Now that Barcelona and Real Madrid have losses thier matches in champions league, I expect them to both return back stronger, I just hope they really return to Laliga with a renewed energy and maintain thier standard, well Real Madrid should try and win this match against Girona in today's match.

The only way for Real Madrid to close the gap between them and Barcelona is if Barcelona lose three or two games because if Barcelona did not lose any game Real Madrid don’t have any chance of winning La Liga and they are going to give Barcelona the guide honour for winning the La Liga in El Classico, it will be a very disappointing for Barcelona to give Barcelona the guide honour but they deserve it because if Real Madrid have use their chances well they will be the one at the top now.

Real Madrid players should be ashamed of themselves because Barcelona is about to win La Liga two times in a row and Real Madrid is about to end another season trophiless, Mbape, Vinicius and others should be ashamed of themselves, Real Madrid president and the board should be ashamed of themselves because their lack of good leadership and control is about to cost the club to end another season without a trophy, Perez is not the same person we use to know and I think he needs to step down for another people to be the president, he has done a lot for the club and he should not spoil what he has done, by the time Real Madrid start losing many investors and partnerships they will realise that those people are only interested in winning trophies and being the best team in the world.

I watched Real Madrid’s matches against Bayern, and I really liked how Real played. They created a lot of chances that they should have scored, but that night Neuer was outstanding and made a huge number of saves. Atletico Madrid with this big advantage will not easily let Barcelona scoring goals like from 2 goals and more in the second leg. They will try to defend seriously in the first half and if they succeed to get a result 0 - 0 after the first half, they will have many chances for counter attacking in the second half and even are able to score some goals for a Barcelona's collapse.
