It seems Real Madrid will have to let Barcelona  take the trophy because with a performance like that, I don’t think they’ll be able to close the gap with Barcelona. Against Girona, Real Madrid have the home advantage, but unfortunately, they let that  golden opportunity slip through their fingers. It was already very difficult for Real Madrid when the gap was 7 points. Now it's likely to even reach 9 points if we don't see a surprising result in the Barcelona - Espanyol game as well.

I just can't believe it... Real Madrid can't even win against an aimless team like Girona. This season is about to be kind of a copy of the last one. The difference is that they can finish the season even further away from the leader.

There is very little chance of an unexpected result in the match between Barcelona and Espanyol because Barcelona has been consistently performing well. You are right that last season is going to be repeated and Barcelona will probably win the trophy.

In fact, the point distance that has been created between the Real Madrid team and the Barcelona team three to four matches ago has basically made Real Madrid much weaker than the Barcelona team three to four matches ago. They have also drawn there, which has basically reduced the last chance of the Madrid team.
And currently I don't think there is any chance that Real Madrid will surpass this points gap and win the La Liga title. Even if Barcelona wins the next match against Espanyol, the gap will be 9 points. And despite such a large points gap in this situation, I don't think there has been any precedent so far that has overcome it and won the title.

I actually think that Real Madrid is no longer chasing the La Liga title because they realize it is already impossible due to the huge point gap, and that has decreased their motivation, making them unable to win the match against Girona. Now, Real Madrid should just focus on the second leg of the Champions League, even though they are only 1 goal behind on aggregate, because that is their only hope. In my opinion, for La Liga, everything is already over for Real Madrid this season.

If they are able to win over Girona, there is still a little hope to catch Barcelona because Barcelona itself is in a fairly depressed situation due to their defeat in the UCL against Atletico, but in the end Madrid wasted that little hope, and it is true that with the draw against Girona Madrid has been eliminated from the La Liga title race, the hope now is the UCL, but Bayern Munich is not easy to beat even though they only need a score of 2-0 to qualify.

I placed a bet on real Madrid to win that game because I thought they would be able to win even though they would struggle to do that since they are not in a good form but it is so disappointing that they could not even win the game. It is a shame that a team like real Madrid couldn't beat girona, there is no chance of them catching up with Barcelona

I have this feeling Barcelona will drop points after this game. If it isn't a draw, it will be a loss for Barcelona.
Espanyol have had a bad record against Barcelona in their last 5 meetings. This is an opportunity for them to stop Barcelona from winning them consecutively.
In the meantime, Barcelona has the advantage of playing at home. Big chance for them win to stay ahead of Real Madrid who recetly lost their game agasint Girona.

It is just an ordinary which is a human thing, but I advice that you should nkg allow such feelings to deceive you, athough we do not know any team that will lose or win even if such team is in good form, Barcelona is a team that understands the game, Espanyol may have those record as you said but Barcelona will not lose that match, this is a wining for Barcelona, the match will be starting very soon, Madrid having drawn in their match presents a good opportunity for Barcelona to widen the gap in the league tabem and you think Barcelona will just sleep on byke in that matche.

Madrid went from potentially wins treble to be a trophyless club. What a shambless from Madrid. This clearly explains that Xabi was never the problem, but the club itself. The players were always seeking to get a penalty rather than thinking how to score through proper open gameplay.

It's a big disappointment for Real Madrid as they are finding it difficult to win their matches. I know Real Madrid is not in form to compete strongly in the champions league, but why draw against Girona at this crucial point of the season? This is a very shameful moment for real madrid players, they can win any game since Mbappe and Bellingham came back from injuring, so what am thinking is it Mbappe is the problem of Real Madrid currently or is the coach, when Mbappe is not in the pitch real madrid always find a way to get a victory but since the key players come back the pattern of playing as change and making things look different for the players. I think that 4-4-2 won't favour real madrid anymore the coach need to bring new information and try it. I don't know if I should agree with you that this match is as good as settled in favor of Barcelona even though the possibility abound following their early lead and their classic style of play today. Maybe they are using the match to rehearse how to play their next Champions League match that is very important to them. I was thinking they will be reserving their key players for their next encounter against Atletico Madrid but it is obvious that is not in their plans. Probably Hansi Flick will go for many substitutions at halftime or only 10-15 minutes after the 2nd half starts. 2-0 is enough advantage to go for it obviously. I don't think Espanyol can come back.

There is a really tough CL rematch waiting for them midweek.    They need to keep their best players healthy and not tired of course. Their job will be really hard away against Atletico Madrid.

It's a shame,, my friend, that our prediction was wrong, as the match ended in a draw. This is incredibly heartbreaking,, in my opinion. Real Madrid should have secured all three points, having already fallen so far behind Barcelona,  but they wasted that opportunity and only managed to secure one point. This was completely unexpected. Furthermore, Real Madrid's performance in this match wasn't particularly good, even worse than in the previous match. If Real Madrid's current performance is limited to this level,, I don't think they have much hope. The gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona could widen if Barcelona wins tonight. If that happens,, Real Madrid will likely fail to win the La Liga title again this season.

I’m a bit confused or rather, i’m having a hard time understanding the style of play Real Madrid is currently displaying. Ending in a draw against Girona in a situation like this is simply unbelievable, especially since they desperately need all three points to close the gap on Barcelona. If Real Madrid continues to perform this inconsistently, it would be no surprise if their chances of winning the title continue to dwindle.
