After Madrid's draw against Girona, will Barcelona also pull off a surprise result in today's match? I'm sure 99% of people would say no.

I admit Barcelona can capitalize on a good opportunity to consistently pick up points in every match, and this time, the opponent they'll face is a team that looks easy to beat. But I have just one question, will both teams score over 3.5 in this match?

Barcelona leads the game with two nil. They also recorded double digits shots combined with very big possession. I see no chance for Espanyol to create a dramatic comeback. A half is still remaining and i think there is chance for the game to end with 4 goals or even more.
However, it can happen only if Barcelona is keen to add more. Who knows they may be playing safely at the second half. The game was predictable if Barcelona would have won it. Espanyol rarely had good records against Barcelona. So i think the result is obvious Barcelona win.

Other than it this win is also helping Barcelona to get one step closer to the La Liga trophy. Just 4 more wins, then the title is theirs. Even if they have same points as Madrid, they have massive gap in GD. I see no chance for Madrid to compete in La liga with 9 points gap to Barcelona.

Actually, it was unusual for Barcelona to lose to Atletico Madrid in the quarter-final match however we can be somewhat certain about this: this team is playing with the goal of winning against Espanyol in today's 31nd round of La Liga. The only thing Barcelona did that didn't satisfy me was the last match they played with Atletico Madrid, every other matches work well, look at how they are  creating chances with Espanyol, they will win this match no matter of the opponent try so hard. If there is anything Barcelona has been doing well, it's the come back in this tournament after Real Madrid failed to stay at the top of the league despite the opportunities they had all this while.

If Barcelona play this match and they won, the point between Real Madrid and Barcelona will turned from 6 point to 9 points. I would say La Liga is basically over at this point, not like it was still going on last week when they lost to Mallorca, it was already looking pretty much finished up, but people were waiting to see if Barcelona would lose points too, instead Real Madrid keeps losing points and that should be good enough proof that Real can't take advantage of this situation.

In fact, I am fairly certain that Real may not end up getting enough points even if Barcelona loses points along the way, the gap is just way too big to cover after this. Barcelona could put all of their focus on getting a win on UCL so that they can do something better there, the league is over and doesn't require much attention. Barcelona and La Masia is famous, so maybe try to get some young players to be tested at league after this.

At this point, seriously Barcelona already show every sing if winning the La Liga title this season, they domainated the league 9 points gap is a lot, the 7 games left for them I believe Barcelona will win most of the game and by doing that. Barcelona will do everything possible to see that they don’t miss any single opportunity of getting this title this season.

Real Madrid's instability this season was completely unexpected. I want to blame Real Madrid for this. Because they value the players more than the coaches. As long as the coaches do not get the right status at Real Madrid, Real Madrid's problems will not go away. This may require the exclusion of key players and some others. In the last matches, Real Madrid played with a full-strength team, unfortunately they lost the matches. Before that, they were strong even with an injury-prone team and won the matches.

It is not over yet, seen the next set of games they're to play and I'm confident they can ace it. One thing is clear, they will be declared champions of  La Liga again when they host Real Madrid at home on the 10th of of May. I'm so invested in that outcome and I'm sure it'll go that way for them. Against Atletico Madrid?! I do think they will not be able to go through Atletico Madrid in the Champions League competition.
