Barca are really taking control of the title race, now 9 points clear of Real Madrid. I don’t think that’s going to be a gap that will be over turned at this stage of the season.

Atletico losing as I type this too, they probably have their eyes on the CL game midweek.

This win has given us a big advantage over Real Madrid in the la Liga title race. If Barcelona can win all their remaining games before meeting Real Madrid, they could potentially be crowned champions against Real Madrid. Ferran Torres turn up at the most important time of season, gave us two goals after not scoring since January. Then the man of the match Lamine yamal, he always perform wonders whenever he is with the ball . Gave two beautiful Assist and a goal which makes his total la Liga goals this season to 15 goals and 11 Assists. He has already surpassed his last season run. What really annoyed me in that match was Hansi flick allowing both Pedri and Lamine yamal playing full 90 minutes, it's very risky because of the champions League game on Tuesday.

Barcelona is now much ahead in the points table, now Barcelona has 79 points while Madrid has 70 points, now there is a gap of 9 points between them, this is a good gap.

Barcelona will next face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, where they lost the first leg to Atletico by 2-0, and it will be interesting to see if they can get revenge in the second leg, so this game is going to be very exciting.

As a Barcelona fan, I really don't like the decision Hansi Flick made in starting Yamal and playing him through the 86th minute when we will be playing Athletico Madrid on Tuesday. Whilst we were exhausting our starters, Athletico Madrid benched all the players that started in the last fixture between them and Barcelona except one, which was Marc Pubill.

I know with this performance it would boost the moral of the team and especially Yamals performance but so will fatigue build, Hansi Flick should have been more careful.

Barcelona are 9 points ahead of real Madrid and it seems they would continue to increase the gap because they are in a better form than real Madrid. Barcelona more chances of winning based on the fact that they played on their home ground, and even though Espanyol have quality players that didn't matter. At this point it is obvious that they are going to win the championship

Barça can start to celebrate the title. Even if they lose all the matches until the end, I don’t see Real surpassing them. Yet again, Real disappointed, while Barça thrilled their fans. Nothing more to say—Barça have surely already deserved this title with their performances, even with so many injuries.

At this point, with such a significant point gap, I agree that the La Liga title has officially been secured by Barcelona. There’s no reason for Madrid to try to catch up, as their current condition and performance this season aren’t quite up to par with Barcelona. Mathematically speaking there’s still a chance, since 21 points are still up for grabs, however in reality the challenge is quite daunting, as Madrid must win all of their remaining matches.

Yeah me too, I didn't believe when I saw the lineup, it feels like they have already given up on the Champions League race. At first when Hansi Flick removed Pedri from the previous Athletico match, I thought he wanted to preserve him for the next matchup but to my surprise he really used him in the Espanyol game, then don't get me started on Yamal, we have alot of this academy boys that even if they don't start, they can hold the game for the remaining 30+ minutes, we even have Roony and Yamal was use to that extent. Definitely, it has to be because of the CL. I checked the lineup, and he didn't start most of his key players, especially on the defensive side.

They are not risking too much. Real Betis is having way lower points to catch up, and Villarreal also lost their last game, so the gap still remains the same and they can still qualify for next season's CL easily.

I don't think there is anything left for them to focus on. The season is over for them. There's no way this team can pass Bayern in Germany. Fans shouldn't be hopeful about that. When Barca beat Espanyol, all discussions will be over for La Liga as well. I haven't seen Real this bad for years, this may be their one of the worst squads ever. They don't have any chemistry at all. I don't think they'll continue with Arbeloa. There are already news circulating that Deschamps will come after World Cup.

This season, Real Madrid has lost favours with the two leagues title they're currently in, the UCL looks bad for them but with some hope over the La'liga where Barcelona has advanced over them with some impressive points. Against Bayern Munich it's just one goal difference and there's where the hope still surfaces a bit but what's gonna be their biggest challenge is that the opponent is actually more in good form 2x than Madrid this season, and they're playing at home and the motivation for them would be highly different from what they had in Spain in the first leg victory.

Yeah obviously Barcelona have fully control the league title like they are absolutely phenomenal at the league standings. Now their point difference with Real Madrid has risen more, and definitely it's seem like they will be crowns champions in advance. If Barcelona won their upcoming two matches then probably the league title will be hand it over to Barcelona. Real Madrid already trailing with lack of confidence and even they are struggling with bad toes like recently they lose back to back three matches at home ground which is definitely bad impact...

So now Barcelona have no more pressure regarding through the league title because point difference is rise into 9 point and even if Real Madrid drop any more points then before the match day 36  the Barcelona will be officially the crowns champions. What did you think Guys. Let me know.

If not for the crucial game in the champions league I don't think Atletico Madrid will allow this to game to end the way. I kept wondering if this is the Sevilla that was struggling, trying their best to get a free passage to a better position, things have changed for good in their favor, I never thought of them getting a win in this game and is good they woke up earlier if not they would have been in the same mess Fiorentina are in the Serie A. Atletico Madrid will do everything possible to win Barcelona that was why I felt they didn't add much force against Seville. I just hope that as they lost today they won't still host Barcelona and lose again.

I knew it’s right from the starting of the season that they are favorite to lift the La Liga trophy. Real Madrid are not yet serious to change things when they are serious to change things they will start performing well and win the La Liga title. I didn't expect Atletico Madrid to be defeated by Sevilla, even though Sevilla's performance in the previous match was not good. Sevilla even managed to beat Real Oviedo. I thought Atletico Madrid would easily beat Sevilla, but seeing this situation, it seems like Barcelona has the potential to perform well and win and score lots of goals in the Champions League. I lost my bet on this match, did you feel the same?

Sevilla fans looked very happy in this match because they moved away from the relegation zone. Sevilla certainly can't afford to be careless and not let other teams surpass their points tally. Atletico Madrid's loss to Sevilla must have made Villarreal happy, as it will potentially struggle to overtake their current third-place position. What if hansi flick had rested lamine yamal and other top Barcelona players and they lost the game, what would you have said?
I believe that you will equally be disappointed because what hansi flick was aiming at is to secure the league title first, especially now that real madrid lost their own game yesterday, so I see him playing all his star men as the right decision because what will happen in that game against atletico madrid will still happen regardless of him resting then or not.

Their reverse fixtures against atletico madrid is actually going to be an entertaining game of football, and I believe that the best team is going to carry the day, but if Atletico madrid decides to play a defensive game all through, they might lose their 2-0 lead, and eventually crashing out of this competition because the best way to defend is to attack, not by packing the bus all through.

Why did you not expect that Atletico Madrid will have a bad result when playing with Sevilla?

They no longer focus on La Liga while next several days they will play with Barcelona in Champions League. Their position in La Liga won't be affected if they lose to Sevilla as now they have 12 points more than Real Betis. After Barcelona's defeat in the Champions League by Atletico Madrid in the first leg, they were now able to easily defeat Espanyol with a score of 4-1 and now Barcelona has managed to get 3 points from Espanyol and of course this makes Barcelona fans happy because getting 3 points in today's match because beating Spain will certainly make Barcelona sit comfortably at the top of the standings. Torres performed well in today's match and he scored goals in the early minutes and in the 25th minute and Torres' goal that I liked the most was when he scored a goal in the 25th minute because he scored a goal in a unique way. And I also like when Yamal scored a goal, he scored a goal comfortably because the Espanyol goalkeeper couldn't hold the ball. And I also like Rashford's goal, he was able to utilize the pass well. But unfortunately, Espanyol could only give a gift of 1 goal to its fans through Lozano and now Espanyol must accept the fact that he has lost to Barcelona.

In my opinion, Barcelona has a great potential to become La Liga champions again this season because it seems like Real Madrid will definitely have a harder time becoming champions. Chances are, Barcelona is already above Real Madrid to get the La Liga trophy, they are already 9 points ahead and that is quite a lot of gap points and I don't think that Real Madrid is able to catch that gap considering that their performance is also less stable and Barcelona will also probably continue to increase their points tally, so that will make it more difficult for Real Madrid to catch up with them.
But for the Champions League it seems like a chance for Barcelona to qualify for the semifinals 50/50 because in the second leg Atletico Madrid will play at their own home ground and maybe they will close their positions to close Barcelona's chances of scoring a goal. It's still a bit difficult to predict whether Barcelona can win the second leg but let's see.
