Just a random statistics, while Mbappe was away injured, Real Madrid won five consecutive matches of which in this five, they beat Manchester City twice across both legs, beat Atletico Madrid in the league. They won these three tough matches in his absence. I would love it if Madrid loses one game or something happens that it will be them to give Barcelona the guard of honor, I'd like to check something on that day. Well, for me the El Clásico is not as interesting as it used to be where we see both teams play like is a cup final with hard tackles and all that, non of the two teams wants to be intimidated by the other and it was fun to watch but now the ball game have changed and we just have to accept it.
Madrid looks like they are going to get something big in this game and if it happens that they win Barcelona I just hope it will be the first loss at home for Barcelona since they moved into the new stadium. So, I think Madrid will face El Clasico with great motivation, making this match even more intense. Winning Spanish La Liga isn't something I think Real Madrid can achieve this season. Though  it's still mathematically possible, it'll take a disaster for that to happen. Barcelona will become champions should they win El Clasico this weekend but even of Real Madrid happens to win that encounter, Barcelona will still be able to win the league.
Hopefully, Jose Mourinho will return at Santiago Bernabeu in the summer and help Real Madrid return back to winning ways.

I don't want this to happen because apart from this being a big blow to Madrid on the one hand as a fan of Madrid to be honest this is not a good thing to watch if Barcelona win and celebrate directly because they won in front of Madrid.

Each team appears so strong that, when they are playing against each other, it becomes difficult to predict the outcome. So, I hardly agree when some people predict that either Real Madrid or Barcelona will win El Clasico.Even though Real Madrid are not in their best form, I don’t believe that Barcelona will easily beat them. Still, I prefer to wait and see the end result. And even now that some of Barcelona’s key players are injured, it is possible for Real Madrid to have hope going into the match. I think you have just said why the El classico is important, the both clubs play and share the desire to win because of the rivalry and the bragging rights, if it's because of the league title then I feel that's way out of the hands of Real Madrid because they have already fumbled the title race. What Real Madrid should be working on now is just to find a way to set things right and working for their season ahead next year.

Certainly, El Clásico would be more exciting if both teams were battling point for point for first place in La Liga, that's not the case, but it doesn't mean this match won't be excited.

On the other hand, the title of this championship will summarize the season for these two clubs, since they didn't win any titles in 2025/2026 and didn't go very far in the Champions League. Real Madrid fans are extremely disappointed with the team, and Barcelona will want to give their fans the joy of celebrating the title against their biggest rival in their own stadium.
