The relegation battle in La Liga this season is so interesting, a lot of clubs are fighting to avoid relegation right now and the point between these clubs are small, and any club that fail to win their upcoming match will be at risk of getting relegated. I'm also surprised how Espanyol that was doing so well this season is now battling for relegation, but I believe if they can win their outstanding match they will have a good chance of escaping relegation.

in La Liga the battle for survival is often intense at the end of the season but this season it's especially intense. currently the gap between 18th place, which means relegation, and 8th place, which offers a chance to qualify for European competition, is just 5 points.

today Espanyol slightly improved their position winning 2-0 against Athletic Bilbao. Sevilla also earned 3 points beating Villarreal. I wouldn't be surprised if Alaves beat Barcelona today.

Barcelona will be flexible in today's game against Alaves because as we all know, they're champions which only means that in tonight's game they are going to put too much energy playing against Alaves. Or maybe Barcelona will still score more goals maybe to increase the number of goals scored for this season, I would love to see Barcelona get to a 100ptsince they have 3 more games, winning all 3 will make that happen starting with Alaves...the only thing new I'd love to see is for the bench warmers to see more playing time today, a change in the midfielders down to the attackers, Flick could do that. My prediction is a 2-4 win for the Champions Barcelona.

I see this match completely differently. Look, Barcelona have already become champions, they clearly doesn’t need points from this match, so Flick could easily field young players to give them some experience. At the same time, Alavés are fighting to avoid relegation, and they need a win to climb out of the relegation zone. That’s why I’m almost sure they will score today, and honestly, I wouldn’t even be surprised if Alavés win this match.

Winning this game will be hard for Flick, he can decide to flood the pitch with more of his starting 11 to win this game instead of Alaves to snatch the 3pt, the relegation battle is very strong as we are almost on the last game of the season and Alaves won't be in a happy mood to play any of the strong teams at this point, it will be like a fo or die affair but it won't be a winning for them from how I see it. However, Barcelona must win Alaves. I rather see Girona escape relegation than see Alaves safe. It will be a tough choice to make by Flick but he must do what is needed to not make the league a joke.

Why will you say that Barcelona didn't work hard as a team this season, then how will you discribed the victory of Barcelona this season. The truth is that Barcelona deserved the victory, as they were more disciplined and focused through out the season. Unlike like Madrid which has allowed indiscipline in the part of the players to ruin themselves this season. Because Madrid failure started when all the Madrid player ganged up in making sure that Alonso loses his job as manager.

This Barcelona's reluctant performance is not good on we gamblers at all, to Barcelona its nothing but to we gamblers that believes in the rewards we get from gambling its not good at all.
Before saying anything I will start by commanding Barcelona's effort this season especially when real madrid where on fire but they were still able to subdue them and find a way to the top spot of the league table by winning in an unimaginable manner.  Today's game that is ending against Barcelona is what is killing me because I have invested much on that game.

You are right. They thought they will make things possible without too much effort in their competitions which is not so, However, the management think since thy have already some classics and experience players everything will be fine and they don’t need to much effort to workout things.

Seems like Alaves will not be relegated and it seem like Girona will be relegated.

Can't believe they dominated tue La Liga two to three seasons ago but couldn't keep up consistent with how they played in La Liga.
Another disappointing side in La Liga is Atletico Bilbao. The William brothers can not do all the work alone,  they need to have a proper rebuild and restructuring of that club. Congratulations to Alaves and Sevilla. Important wins for them.

If Girona wins tomorrow, everything will change.

This game tonight was something annoying if you ask me, nothing interesting to watch from Barcelona and is better to see Alaves get a win than Barcelona because is like nothing to do again for Barcelona, this period is for the relegation struggling team to show what they have in them to run off that position. I can't say who's good to go or stay but if you ask me I'd say let the best stay off the relegation zone, Girona too is another annoying team. A club that gave Madrid and Barcelona a run for their money some season's back but could not keep up the tempo, still they are just going down and if there's a way they should be relegated period.

It's like giving points to Alaves who really need points to get out of the relegation zone but since they've already got the trophy then I can't comment much on the performance although this defeat is a bit disturbing especially with the condition of the players on the pitch and how Barcelona performed in this match.

Their dominance was very good and that's their trademark but at the same time they seemed to lose the attacking flow that they've always been proud of and maybe it was the rotation factor but that shouldn't be a complete excuse because some great players were still playing.

With this condition and Mallorca losing in another match, the competition in the relegation zone remains interesting because Girona, Levante, Elche and Mallorca have the same 39 points and other clubs like Alaves who managed to get 3 points in this match are only 1 point adrift and there are still 2 matches left so it is likely that the relegation zone will be hot in terms of competition until the end.

You are right but the problem is after tomorrow match against Sociedad, the next opponent for Girona is Atletico Madrid, in this match which is quite worrying for Girona because they are likely to lose to Atletico, besides that in the last 5 weeks they only got 2 points which means Girona performance is in trouble towards the end of this season and it is also possible that they can lose tomorrow to Sociedad.
While Levante, Mallorca, Alaves and Elche, are quite capable of making the best effort in the remaining La Liga matches by collecting points.

Barcelona being great definitely had results for Real Madrid that caused this. If Real Madrid were winning, they wouldn't have this much trouble, but those players are arguing and fighting and not getting along well because of the failures they are facing. It's been 2 years now that they won nothing, and it is not common in Real Madrid history to finish two seasons with zero trophy, so it's clear that we are seeing them not being that great at all.

I understand this may not look that great for now, but this will cause some changes for them without a doubt, they will definitely end up with some big changes this summer and will be a lot better, this was needed, they will need a rebuild, but they will get better next season.

You’re right, Real Madrid is becoming too relaxed both in LaLiga and champions league reason why they intend to go low every time even with best squad. If I remember correctly Real Madrid then and how the club played effortlessly during the time of Ronaldo, Marcelo to be precise and now the club is trying to adjust even with good players yet there’s nothing to show, Real Madrid used to win trophy then so what happened now although not because the club is not well organize now or lack of quality players definitely the current players are very much useful with good potential yet nothing to show, wondering what’s the solution because we can clearly watch Madrid lose to smaller club too.
