The reason why Barcelona is keen on retaining the striker for an extra year could be as a result of unavailability of a suitable replacement  within the team, if Barcelona had already found a replacement then they wouldn't be asking the striker to stay on, I think Barcelona are afraid of the vacuum the striker would create in the team and how to fill it because getting a striker of the same quality could cost the club a fortune and I don't think the club is ready for such expenses due to their financial situation which doesn't allow for much spending.

Well deserved victory. What's this unnecessary errors/mistakes in the front of ones goal that we get to see on so many laliga games nowadays? Just imagine how lazy that defender was that he had to wait for the ball. Was he pregnant? --- didn't even end there, but went ahead to give out such a weak pass in front of an attacker? What sort of football knowledge is this? Carlos Espí took hold of that opportunity and had the better part of it. That was a very close safe away from relegation.

I'm invested for all of the drama that comes with the return of Jose Mourinho back Real Madrid dressing room but deep down, I'm not convinced he can go toe to toe with Hansi Flick maybe not defensively which he is good but attacking wise which I do think he will struggle.

Unless Mourinho somehow changes from his old-school tactics to a more modern era style. But that’s very unlikely.

Like you said, Madrid actually needs a coach who can manage players’ egos, and on the other hand Madrid itself has several players with very big egos. And tbh as a Madrid fan I’m also a bit doubtful and worried that if Mourinho insists on his old formations and outdated strategies and tries a big overhaul, Madrid could actually end up performing worse than this season.

Sevilla lost to Real Madrid at home. I’d say Sevilla played better in the match, but Real Madrid managed to win thanks to the goal they scored early in the first half. We can say that Sevilla has secured its place in the league. I don’t think they’ve officially secured it yet, but at least we can say they’ve managed to stay in the league. They’ll face Celta Vigo in the final week. Since a draw is enough for Celta Vigo as well, it looks likely that the two teams will end in a draw.

Sevilla used to be good in defense but this season has been difficult for them, like you said they performed well but I wasn't expecting them to win because real Madrid lost in their last game to Barcelona and they were not really going to lose another match just like that. Personally, I think Alvarez will be off them for now because of their financial difficulties but if they can meet up, he will be a very good addition to the team. Levante has 42 points and are at the 15th position on the table but disadvantage with goal difference, but even with that I do not see them as a team that is relegation prone, all they need is a draw to stay afloat, Girona is to me like the only team  that may seem like a threat to their position but even with that I still stay very optimistic about  Levante than I would with others at the bottom of the table.

Lewandowski is senior but he is still playing well and scoring goals. He has decided not to play with Barcelona before his contract expires. Although Barcelona has flexibility to renew his contract, he is probably not interested in renewing it. However, he is still an important forward for Barcelona and is playing well. The most impressive was his performance last season. He scored 27 goals in 34 matches in La Liga last season. Although his performance this season has not been as good, he scored 13 goals in 30 matches. His injury risk is gradually increasing because he is currently 37 years old. Barca team management may be positive about renewing his contract with him because the team has a crisis of alternative players in the attack.
