You are right, Atletico Madrid have a problem with depth. Atletico Madrid do not have enough players to perform consistently throughout the season. Atletico Madrid as a team cannot be called weak, their main problem is their lack of consistency in the middle of the season. And the main reason for this is the depth of the team. When the team gets injured or key players are rested, they do not get a worthy replacement for the key players. Simeone is a great coach as they have proven this season, if he is given financial freedom then we will see more output from him.

I bet on Mallorca to win because they still have strong reasons to play very seriously, unlike Real Oviedo who have already been relegated and whose players will probably be conserving energy to avoid unnecessary injuries, especially since it wouldn't be worth playing seriously knowing they've already been relegated. I believe that at this moment most of the Real Oviedo players are focused on getting signed by teams that will remain in La Liga. Another important point is that Mallorca plays much better at home; they are on a five-game winning streak at home, even beating Real Madrid. So I think they can win today.

Real Oviedo have no motivation whatsoever now that they're definitely out of La Liga this season, so what you're saying makes a lot of sense, they won't be going into this game at full strength and causing unnecessary injuries to their players, perhaps enjoying a game before saying goodbye to La Liga.
As well as playing at home they also still have hope of getting out of the relegation zone if Elche and Girona don't get any points tonight, especially if they concede more goals and Mallorca can make up ground by scoring more goals against Real Oviedo tonight, it could be possible although very difficult as the chances are slim.

It's the final match for Arbeloa as Real Madrid manager... He has always spoken like it's his fault. Over and over again. Of course he had a role in this bad season. But he wasn't the only responsible person. The chairman Perez played a bigger role in this. 

Arbeloa shouldn't have accepted the manager role when being offered at that time and that is somehow is faul since he ought to have be aware of the differences or ego among players while Perez shouldn't have offered him such role.

After that they have ended up with Mourinho as their next manager. Absolutely a questionable choice. Maybe good for discipline among the players. But it isn't enough to win trophies in this sport. I don't have high expectations from Mourinho's vision currently.

In fact in the last 15 years Atletico have only managed to win one trophy under Simeone. All Atletico can do is continue to compete as Atletico Madrid is financially unable to acquire good players; instead, they buy cheap players, develop them and then sell them at high prices to generate revenue. This is likely why management continues to keep Simeone at Atletico, even though he hasn't delivered many trophies. However he is financially more stable.

I am with you on this. Atletico Madrid hopes of winning the Laliga title is just going down every single season. The Laliga will be more competitive next season especially between Madrid and Barcelona as usual. I didn't include Atletico Madrid because looking at the force and energy that the top 2 teams in the league has installed for next season. I don't think anyone will even dream of ATM winning the title next season.

I think you forgot to mention the race for the Conference league too. Getafe, Rayo, and Valencia are in a race for playing in the Conference league next season. I expect Getafe to win and sure a spot for Europe next season. Just one point between them each, anything is possible though, let's see who will play next season.

It is worthy to note how competitive the Laliga is becoming in the middle of the table. Apart from the usual Barcelona and Real Madrid competition, others are picking up too.

I think Arbeloa was trying to make impression so he get to do the job as full of time head coach but the players mixed is not working, the team was not picking along and there is nothing he can do if the team has nothing to do again. Assuming he is a full time coach, he wouldn't be on pressure trying to impress anyone, he will just do his job and make sure each player do their job like they depend on the club but you could see Arbeloa wasn't given the privilege.

Sometimes there are people that do fuel some deals in the club, if somebody like Perez want Arbeloa to stay, there is nobody in that club that will say otherwise but if that man is not satisfied with what you are doing in that club, you will definitely leave that club and heaven will not fall. Didn't you see what was going on with Mbape some days times back, if they don't want him to stay, trust me we don't need all those campaigns and signature that was going around, he will have to leave the club.

They have done it before with simeone as there coach and by all means can still do it again, but alot of things will be done in order to try and replicate such performance they had that particular season they finished above Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. I actually thought he could do it to be honest but after seeing how things are currently I will say he didn't make the right choice because this would have been known internally before it got escalated to this state.

Arbeloa got his managerial role started in the biggest pressure and still did quite well but unfortunately they were unable to get a trophy, although his career is still on the track he can get to the top, success to him.

It was very unfortunate for Levante that they had to square their last game with Real Betis. Real Betis is one of the best teams in the Laliga as it is and even with Levante struggling to come up with good performances at this stage of the league to save themselves from being relegated, beating Real Betis at a home game was something they just didn’t seem fit to do. Real Betis at last did beat them to a 2:1 victory and with Mallorca haven’t won their game against Real Oviedo comfortably, they are out of the relegation zone.

I think another problem is that they don't really buy expensive players, like they've a very low budget on buying players, Chelsea tried it this season and got nothing from it. D. Someone has been managing with them the players they could afford, but it doesn't give the club such squad depth they need to lift important trophies. I think they should provide more funds to buy prime players and offload the low quality ones if they are really serious to lift the LaLiga title et al.

There's something wrong with Barcelona squad tonight that led to defeat. I didn't  watch the game because there's  no much left  to fight for anymore and I believe it  will be boring plus the little experiment in the lineup. I'm  not sure what Hansiflick is trying to test but it sure doesn't look good on the defense.

The defense played horribly  and even affect the midfield, the attacking side couldn't  produce goals without  the key players . The only good thing about the experiment is possession, which has always been a thing for Barcelona anyway.

Nice points, but it's true that it's not actually about buying the most expensive players alone, this particular season. Many teams diid that, buying a player that they think could help them achieving thoer aims, and  they stl perform lowly, in fact Chelsea should  actually be a good examples of that, buying players like no tomorrow and been changing Coaches within this season and yet achieved nothing meaningfully.

However, when a team is well organized and have proper management in thier funds, I believe they can still work hard towards the trophy, than spending huge amounts of money to buy players that won't gives you the exert target. Well I was impressed with the Real Madrid outcomes today by defeating Athletic.

First half of the Valencia vs. Barcelona match ended goalless. Barcelona took a 0-1 lead in the 61st minute through Lewandowski, but Valencia scored two goals in ten minutes to take a 2-1 lead in the 71st minute. The second half, in particular, was a great contest. Lewandowski scored his last goal for Barcelona and bid farewell to the club. Barcelona fielded a team of young players. Yamal and Raphinha did not play in this match. Valencia finished the league with a win but failed to qualify for European competitions.

Can't believe that Girona has been relegated after they played 1:1 draw against Elche. I was hoping for a drama on who will get relegated today but it never occurred to be that Girona will be among the relegated teams. Anyway they have enjoyed some seasons in the La Liga, they once contended the title but Real Madrid overpowered them and won the title instead, i think that was about 3 seasons ago.

Atletico Madrid and Villarreal will face each in the last game of the season as that is the only match scheduled tomorrow since all nine matches played today. The outcome of the match will determine which team finishes in the third position but i don't see it as an important match since both teams has already secured their spot in the Champions League next season.
