I wasn't following La Liga very closely recently and only just now I learned that Jose Mourinho is about to sign up for his return to Real Madrid.
I have mixed feelings on whether or not he'll be able to lift the club up and bring it to its former glory, but he's a decent bet.
Like him or not, he's one of the most successful managers in history, with experience in many different major European leagues. He was managing Real back in 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2011/2012 he lead the club to its first La Liga title win since 2008 and they also broke a record for the most goals scored. He is said to have had some conflicts with star players, which resulted in his departure, which sounds familiar to what happened to Xabi Alonso, so I'm curious how his relations with players will look in the season to come.

Actually Kylian Mbappe was signed for free after his contract expired at PSG. Although there's a possibility that Mbappe received some signing bonus even though PSG received no money. I think Perez knows and understand Mbappe's ability well enough that he wouldn't just let him go because the the club and fans are complaining about him. No matter how bad the fans see Mbappe he's still their best player and attacker and Perez seems to know that, he knows he will play an important role in their team restructuring when they bring in a new manager.

It's true that the previous head coach saw need to unite the combination of the two superstars to produce better teamwork. Dismissing reports that they might leave, the club main focus is now on developing team dynamics as opposed to individual skill. Indeed if you think about it, Real Madrid doesn't lack great players because all of their players are strong. In fact, the coach's contribution significantly impacts Real Madrid's performance. Certainly, if the coach can utilize the existing real Madrid players, there's potential for Real Madrid to perform even better. However, in my opinion, in the Ancelotti era, Real Madrid still had good midfielders like Toni Kroos, who of course always played well, ultimately making Real Madrid's attack look sharper. I believe Real Madrid current squad is okay to win any trophy at all, their only problem is lack of coordination though I don't want to say is lack of coordination because I can not be certain about..., it can also be poor coaching. But Real Madrid performance is not that bad because if it was I don't think they would finished at the top 2 in the La Liga which means they were playing not quite bad but it is very unfortunate that they didn't win any trophy this season I don't think this has happened to them.

Real madrid have a lot of talented and experienced players  in their defence. Even then, if Madrid's defense is weak, it is because of their  tactical mistakes. Madrid management also bought two  defenders last season. Madrid had to spend a huge amount to buy Huijsen.
Madrid's midfield is somewhat weak. Madrid are yet to find  replacements for modirch and toni cross in particular. Madrid's midfield needs  to be strengthened. If the midfield  is stable, maybe the defense and attack will also be stronger.

I was about to talk about Real Madrid poor midfield before I saw want you wrote below. Of course, what do you expect from a strong defense when the midfield is weak and being controlled by their opponents. If a team has been performing poorly for several seasons, a new coach and management may have a plan to rebuild the squad through a regeneration process. That's a very reasonable approach. Every criticism we have about Real Madrid is right now but the reality is that they have talented players but they need a great coach who can guide and coach the players to perform well. Vinicius and Mbappe are the best performers but apart from them they have talented forwards like Arda Güler, Rodrygo, Endrick and García. In midfield they have great players like Jude Bellingham, Camavinga and Federico Valverde. It is true that Real Madrid have a huge gap in defence. This problem will be solved if the team is in the hands of an ideal and experienced coach. José Mourinho is such a experienced coach and he has the potential to take the team to a good position.

The cause of Real Madrid’s poor performance is purely due to systemic issues, a chaotic locker room, and management and strategic errors. all of which stem from collective failures, not the individual player Mbappe. Mbappe has worked hard during his time at Real Madrid; in fact, he has been the top scorer despite the team’s poor performance. If Real Madrid wants to bounce back next season, they must overhaul the system completely.
