I think they made a very good transfer with Cucurella. They had a lot of deficiencies in that area, and they brought in perhaps one of the best players in the world.

In other words, Madrid's squad is more complete than it was before. Both the starting lineup and the backup players have enough quality to be relied on. That's one of the things I really like about Mourinho, he clearly knows exactly what this Madrid squad needs.

I'm really happy to see the work Mou has done by bringing in several new players, including Cucurella. But I also hope he can develop a central midfielder who can become the next Toni Kroos, someone who can control the tempo of the game and keep both the attack and defense running smoothly.

There are two outcome that we will always get from teams, this was their behavior when Anceloti was there and it was behavior they did when Xabi was there, far worse than what Anceloti got and Arbeloa was humbled begging the team to do well so he can secure his job against next season but the result was awful, he was sacked and now now Mourinho, the short tempered, he will lose his mind if such happens under his watch.

You know it's easy to be to motivated before the beginning of the season, everyone says what they want and how they expect it but the result will be different when it's time. I will be looking at teams and my observations are not going to be early, it's going to be half way in the league, that's when teams show their true intentions, I hope Real Madrid stay put till time because last time they were 5 games loss already under Xabi.

Meanwhile, Perez treatment of Mourinho was different. Even before accepting Perez offer to return to Real Madrid, Mourinho demanded conditions to fulfill his wishes in bringing in the players he needed and Perez complied.

Besides that, after Madrid trophyless two seasons, Perez is no longer stingy with player purchases. Atletico Madrid despite being a one of the best clubs in Spain and definitely the most consistent after Real Madrid and Barcelona in the last two decades aren't known to be bigger spenders so I'm not even expecting them to do much this summer. I think they would've won more trophies under the current coach Diego Simeone if they had been making the big move signings. They currently have a decent squad that can still compete for the biggest trophies in Europe next season but making few significant signings I think will make them a better contender to win than just competing.

As an Atletico Madrid fan, I find your opinion offensive, mate. Since Diego Simeone's arrival, Atletico Madrid are no longer a mid-table team, they have evolved into serious title contenders in the league. People think Simeone has run out of ideas to make Atletico better, but I don't think so. They won't sell Alvarez anytime soon, from what I read in some newspaper, and they don't have a replacement for Alvarez. So for them it's not a financial issue, but rather that they don't see any other available player on the market who is cheap and has the same skills as Alvarez. So selling Alvarez and being left without a player of his level would be a big problem for the club. Even if Atletico Madrid isn't fighting for the title, they are fighting for a Champions League spot and to win the Copa del Rey.

I'm not sure about Atletico Madrid. At least in the near future... I know that they won the La Liga title in 2014 and 2021. However that's the case actually. They just need to get lucky about Barcelona and Real Madrid.

I believe that there are cycles in which teams find a lot of promising players who then make themselves available for the teams, in Spain there was an excellent generational change which also happened in France, but not in Italy and Germany for example, it's not just the organizations' fault.

For the next 10 years we know it is either Real Madrid or Barcelona that is the favorite to win the la liga. Every other team in the la liga are no where close to the team we all know rule the spanish league. Atletico Madrid came close because the other teams are poor team.
