Ferran Torres  ended last season with 16 goals  and 2 assists with 33 games played in the Laliga. To me that wasn't a bad stat for a top striker. Everyone can't shine at the same time, some players are naturally gifted others work hard to maintain and compete with their equals. Ferran Torres skills is primarily developed through rigorous training and tactical development. His attacking form can be traced to Man City when he was under Pep's management where he transitioned from a winger to a highly efficient forward. Last season, almost all Madrid defenders were injured and now they are looking healthy but I like the way Mourinho didn't buy the impression. Mourinho is definitely a great coach and he was the coach of Real Madrid in the past and he brought success to Real Madrid. But yes, we cannot judge the present by looking at the past.
