Barcelona need a striker like Alvarez and if they get him he will be a good signing for the club but I don’t think it will happen because Atletico Madrid still stand on their words that they will not sell him no matter what, Barcelona did not want go with a big offer and they are doing everything to convince the player and it looks like the deal is complicated because no one knows what will happen before the season start, if Barcelona can not sign Alvarez they should not sell Ferran Tores because there are rumours that Barcelona are considering selling the player.

Completly agree with this, is like Havertz, you are gonna always expect a lot of goals from them or super performance against mid or weaker teams but they never deliver it, but when they play against big rivals and in important games or stages they show up and score, is crazy when this things happens but we already saw it happening.

Alvarez is good as smart at the same time which if they will in Barcelona together with Gordon it will be a very amazing move, because Gordon has the speed in an open space while Alvarez can create a dangerous mix in the front line, and he can also play any position in the striking line. You are right, the transfer market lacks quality strikers, especially a standard No. 9, that's why Barcelona is giving everything they have just to sign Alvarez. I also heard that the Atletico Madrid management board said they have now interest in selling Alvarez, because they don't have any replacement yet, so unfortunately, I think Barcelona might end up not getting him.

France elimination from the world cup as well champions league elimination of PSG during Messi, Mbappe and Neymar already should have given us every evidence to prove that a football club cannot just survive or win trophies only by having a good forward... Defense and the mid-field matter a whole lot too... Currently Real Madrid has an excellent forward without Olise. We have the like of Vinicus, Mbappe, Bellingham(even though he is more of a midfielder), etc, and this alone is good enough to score the number of goals they need.... Even if Madrid have ×5 of Mbappe playing an attacking role, Madrid may still not eventually win the trophy.. Madrid should work on there defense, let them buy more defenser and midfielders.. Madrid needs more creative midfielder like Kroos and Modric...

There’s no way this could happen. But as a Barcelona fan, of course I hope this deal can come together, if possible. Actually, I really want Alvarez to wear a Barcelona jersey this season. Although I also know it seems unlikely to happen. Honestly, what were they supposed to do? The players had hit their retirement ages and would rarely get regular football since they were trying to groom up potential replacements who unfortunately did not live up to the expectations.
I think at one point they just have to break the bank once again and bring in a couple of good midfielders to match up the demand. The grooming project hasn't really worked. I am not sure if Rodri can act as a temporary solution for now.

Michael Olise is a natural winger, anyone who says Olise is not good, I don't think he or she have watched Michael Olise on the ball. There's this quality about Michael Olise I admire so much and that's his ability to link up with his Frontline teammates, he always have this good chemistry going on with him and his teammates. We watched how he matched up with Harry Kane and Luis Diaz in Bayern Munich, then come to France, how he's able to link up with Kylian Mbappe and delivering those incredible passes which are key assists, if Michael Olise finally comes to Real Madrid, then Los Blancos will be indistructible.

Although it can actually work if Atletico Madrid agrees to the initial bid of Barcelona but Atletico Madrid are asking for way more and from previous experience I can also understand their stand point on why they want Barcelona to pay more. Atletico Madrid accused Barcelona of paying his loved ones to try to convince him to join them. This isn't the first time Barcelona is doing such to Atletico Madrid, so I can understand why they are asking for more from Barcelona. But if Atletico Madrid finally agrees on a fee with Barcelona, the transfer fee can be paid in installments for a period of years.
