Nevertheless, this news is considered serious and the odds for Rodri to move to Barcelona have reached 70% (on Polymarket). I have a strong feeling to bet on No, The market is very illiquid and most likely this news that came out of nowhere is unlikely to be assessed correctly.

From what I've read, Rodri is very close to joining Barca.. he's already been offered a contract, and Barca has also contacted City regarding Rodri.. so right now, Barca's focus is on Rodri, and they're very determined to sign him from City. As for the talks with Real Madrid, from what I've read, those have already ended.. neither Rodri nor City are interested in what Real Madrid has to offer, and they see Barcelona as a more promising club for him. So, the Rodri transfer is heating up, and if Barcelona manages to sign him, they'll be adding one of the best midfielders to their squad.
I’ve also read this news, and it’s almost certainly true. In fact, it’s reported that Mourinho is so furious because Real Madrid has been dragging its feet on signing Rodri, who is now on the verge of joining Barcelona. If Rodri’s transfer to Barcelona goes through (it’s just one step away), Real Madrid will once again be left empty-handed as their target player is snatched away by their rivals. We’ll just have to wait and see what the transfer fee for Rodri to Barcelona will be, as an agreement is currently close to being finalized.

So far, I find the preparations of Real Madrid and Barcelona for the new season very interesting. Real Madrid is focusing on addressing the shortcomings of the previous season, they have begun revamping the squad from the coaching staff to bringing in several players deemed capable of plugging the gaps from last season. Their strategy of bringing in Mourinho aims to rectify last season's mistakes and achieve better results. Meanwhile, Barcelona can hit the ground running because most players have already adapted to Hansi Flick's system, and even the newly signed players will adapt quickly. I remain convinced that Barcelona can achieve back-to-back titles because their level of play will improve significantly compared to last season, whereas Real Madrid is still in a rebuilding phase following numerous changes to the squad.

We can say that Hansi Flick's playing style is similar to Barcelona's classic tiki-taka game.
Meanwhile, he's had two very good seasons. i think he's been there for two seasons, or am i wrong? Barcelona really can't complain about a good and professional coach.
The last two seasons have been very impressive for Hansi Flick. He has maintained a strong position by winning consecutive trophies. The strategy he uses against a relatively small club is different from the strategy he uses when playing against El Clasico or another strong club.

He tries to use the players very precisely so that no player is put under excessive physical and mental pressure. He uses the second-row players as well as the first-row players in the same way so that the team is balanced. The upcoming season will be challenging for Barcelona and Hansi Flick will rebuild the team accordingly and implement more tactical decisions. The main thing is that he will have to introduce new strategies to maintain the team's consistent performance.

40 million? Where did you get that figure from? We're talking about 60-70 million, and City initially insisted on 80.
I thought  the normal price is around 40M~50M, all these sources are misleading people fr. To me, I think 60M should be the  borderline.
I agree with you now, 80M is too much and there's absolutely no way Barcelona is paying such amount because they are still broke  Grin.

How much do you think Real Madrid should pay for him? I'd say 60 million is a fair price
Just as I've mentioned in my previous post, 50M is the best price to me  but if Madrid can afford 60M then it's still fair.

Look, Rodri isn't young, he recently suffered a serious injury, and he only has a year left on his City contract. . If we're talking about his potential transfer to Barcelona, we should remember that Rodri's salary is around 15 million, while Barcelona is allegedly offering him 30 million before taxes. Barcelona, which constantly has problems registering players because of its debts, where will they get the money for all this? It sounds like a fantasy.
I don't know what Barca is thinking but if they sign him, they probably have plans to maintain the fair play rule.

Real Madrid have made many transfers, and since many of these signings are intended for the starting eleven, it may take a few games for them to find their rhythm. Barcelona, on the other hand, can continue where they left off with their already established and cohesive squad; I agree with you on this point. However, I think Real Madrid will have the advantage in the long league season by being able to rotate their quality players effectively. Right now, I think they have a better squad than Barcelona. If Jose Mourinho's influence shows itself, Real Madrid could finish this season strongly.

Absolutely, we need to give time, even if it's Real Madrid, to find the right method, the right approach and the right combination of players to put on the pitch. Even more so because it is Real Madrid, the coach must be given time to find the precise harmony between the starting eleven.

Really? I'm seeing this news for the first time. If Barcelona signs Rodri, their midfield will be very strong. We also know he's a very good defensive player. He had some great matches with Manchester City and gave his best performance for Spain at the World Cup. I don't understand why Real Madrid hasn't finalized this transfer yet, because they needed Rodri more than Barcelona. Rodri's position is Real Madrid's weakest area. I was expecting them to complete this transfer quickly.

This is really hilarious, Barcelona going for Rodri? Wow, now what if it happens Barcelona later have him in their squad? That will be a very big issue for Real Madrid because with what Rodri did in the midfield in the just concluded FIFA world cup I'm afraid Real Madrid is likely to go trophy less this season once again, like why did this deal actually take this long for Real Madrid to finalize, it's unlike them in terms of signing players, let's just wait and see how it goes, because with the competition with the two rival teams I can say Manchester City is about to cash out big from them.

You'll laugh, but the latest news (at least the one I saw) regarding this transfer is that Barcelona is ready to pay 45 million  Grin
Is this really such a dirty game from them: first agree with the player, make sure the player himself has agreed with City, then wait for leaks and only then make a lowball in the hope that there is no turning back? This is complete nonsense. I don't believe City will sell Rodri to Barcelona for less than Real Madrid offered. I don't think this story is over yet. Rodri is obviously playing his game (if he succeeds, he will double his salary), and apparently deceived Real about his interest, let's see if Barcelona can now deceive City.

Nothing hilarious but he will bring beauty and balance to any side he eventually signs for completely. I've always thought he'd be the Sergio Busquet replacements they never had.
I believe with this Rodri signature most likely to happen, Barcelona will most definitely win the Champions League competition in the next two seasons. If they fail to won it this season, then they will win it next season. Real Madrid though couldn't do too much after that change of mind from Rodri.

Rodri transfer news: Barcelona target Man City and Spain star wanted by Real Madrid
Barcelona join Real Madrid in chase for Spain captain and Man City star Rodri; Midfielder has one year left on his deal at City, who want him to sign a new contract and lead the team into a new era under Enzo Maresca
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/13570426/rodri-transfer-news-barcelona-target-man-city-and-spain-star-wanted-by-real-madrid

What do you think about this? It sounds like complete nonsense - if Real Madrid thinks the price for Rodri is too high (which it is), then where is Barcelona getting the money for such a transfer? Nevertheless, this news is considered serious and the odds for Rodri to move to Barcelona have reached 70% (on Polymarket). I have a strong feeling to bet on No, The market is very illiquid and most likely this news that came out of nowhere is unlikely to be assessed correctly.
Barcelona used their future television right as their collateral to secure 210m loan to fund their summer transfers and their club operation for the next season. So they have money to sign Rodri even if City priced him 80m. However, i also saw the latest report if they have reached an agreement with City for his transfer which was

around 50m. So it's interesting in which price they will secure Rodri's signature.

Honestly, disappointed with Madrid who ignored someone who won the golden ball. He may not young anymore, but he's spain's key to win the world cup. It should be an apgrade to have him in Madrid's squad, but sad it's not happening.

I'm optimistic that Mourinho can get the front-three of Mbappé, Vinicius, and Diomandé to work well together so that Real Madrid can end their title drought this season. Once again, I really hope that all the changes Real Madrid has made this time will yield positive results.

In my opinion, Real Madrid just needs to regain confidence in their team. Now, having also signed the very young talent Diomandé, he can do very well. If Diomandé manages to find the right certainty in his game and if Vinicius and Mbappé manage to bond and put their differences into the background for the team.

I believe that this does not apply to Real Madrid, because for a few years Paris Saint-Germain only signed players of a formidable level, solely and exclusively with the intention of winning the Champions League. And it didn't work. Real Madrid is built on talent, for several years Real Madrid has only played with absolute phenomena.

This is precisely what makes Real Madrid an always sought-after team.

The important point that was learned last season was the cooperation between coaches and players, so having chemistry can build a good strategy, and I also agree that it is better for the coach to be given time to do a lot of strategic experiments with many talented players he has today at Real Madrid, management must give that freedom and also do not, although on the other hand a star player can bring fans and influence on the number of views and merchandise sales, but if it does not provide a good impact on the course of the game will only make them difficult in the future.

I was the first to know about this. I didn't see any mention of this on any social media or news. The defensive midfielder from Manchester City has not been able to shine in most of the matches but has performed well in almost every match of the World Cup. If Barcelona want to buy him, it will be the right decision for them because he is a talented player. Now the question is whether Manchester City will sell him because his contract expires next June. Man City will probably want to keep him and extend his contract, but the final decision will have to be made by Rodri.

Rodri was injured at some point last season so it affected his performance, he was lucky to fully recover before the World Cup that's why his performance was outstanding not like he failed performan well for Manchester City and gave his all to his country. Barcelona would be lucky to have him. Rodri wants to leave so Manchester City so they'll have to sell so they don't lose him for free, I don't think he'll sign a new contract as Barcelona and Real Madrid needs him.

This is incorrect information. There were two pieces of news today: Barcelona offered 45 million, City refused and insisted on 75  Grin And this is quite logical, since negotiations with Real Madrid were around this amount.
Just because Barcelona has money doesn't mean they have to burn it. Judge for yourself: Rodri is 30 years old, but City won't let him go for less than Real Madrid is willing to pay (60-70 million), plus Barcelona will pay him a stratospheric 30 million a year. So, Barcelona will spend 150 million over three years on a player who is certainly good, but still prone to injuries and is also old. Now I understand where Barcelona's debt comes from  Grin

One thing I know about Real Madrid is that they don't beg the player too much. No player is bigger than the club, and if Vini does not accept the terms of the new contract offered to him. They are likely going to sell him off and not wait for his contract to expire and he leaves as a free agent.
I remember when they sold off a legendary Cristiano Ronaldo when very few people expected that move to happen. It's simply business, and F. Perez knows how to pull the ropes in most cases.

Florentino Perez has demonstrated over time that he is an extremely objective person who knows how to make the most of the opportunities that come his way, when everyone thought that Ronaldo would never leave, he saw the glimmer of profit and made the most of it, and if you sell someone like Ronaldo who wrote the history of your club then no one is untransferable.

Yes, but he has also shown that he is not a human and that he only looks to make a profit. The man is a businessman, but footballers sometimes give their whole life to a club and become emotionally attached to it. Like Casillas for example, who was literally pushed out of the club, and we all know what a legend of Real Madrid he was. So Perez only cares about money and nothing else. I believe he will sell Vinicius at the first opportunity ...
I also think of him as a businessman. He always tries to make profit. We all thought he would sell Vinicius if he had the chance. But finally it was officially announced that Real Madrid has renewed Vinicius contract until 2032. So now I can say with more confidence that Florentino Perez is definitely a businessman. Because he has seen a bright future for Vinicius. If he sells Vinicius now, Real Madrid will be able to make several times more profit based on his performance experience and talent in the future. Finally, Vinicius' dream club is to stay in Real Madrid. Now we just have to wait and see the performance of Madrid.

I just hope that the new squad Real Madrid has put together can quickly find their chemistry and lead the team back to glory. It’s clear that the squad is filled with quality players, the best in the world are right here. It’s now up to Coach Mourinho to unite them into a truly solid squad, not just a collection of players preoccupied with individual play, prioritizing their egos, or simply chasing personal achievements. They should be capable of more than that.

Every manager needs time to settle down in a club no matter he is mourinho or the club is madrid, building team chemistry, tactical discipline and overall working tactics require more time than everyone thinks and it can not be rushed in this modern football. Giving mourinho time is really important and if he gets criticised after a not a good start then he might not be able to get back because pressure at this stage eventually leads to the decrease in the morale of a manager no matter how much ego he has criticism will have an affect on him. So he should be given time and space for him to deliver to his true and fullest potential

I agree and want to remind you that too many cooks spoil the broth. Similarly, despite having extra star players in the team, they could not win the Champions League that time. In fact, this proves that nothing better can be won without a good combination, no matter how many world-class players there are in the team.

Therefore, if there is no good bonding between the coach and the players, sometimes even with proper leadership, the maximum performance cannot be obtained from the players. Sometimes, even though the players are comfortable and are the most effective in the place, they cannot perform well due to wrong decisions. However, both Mourinho and Hansi Flick are very experienced and have a long history of personal good achievements, but I think the board will give priority based on merit to determine who will be the most suitable coach for the team.

In my opinion, Real Madrid just needs to regain confidence in their team. Now, having also signed the very young talent Diomandé, he can do very well. If Diomandé manages to find the right certainty in his game and if Vinicius and Mbappé manage to bond and put their differences into the background for the team.
Yes, that will be Jose Mourinho main task, considering that he was recruited by Florentino Perez to build the team to avoid a rift like last season. Now that the problems between Mbappe and Vinicius Junior have been resolved with his contract extension with Real Madrid, Yan Diomande arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu, he will also be monitored and guided specifically by Mourinho, given his experience with the Ivorian player, creating a monster attack while coaching Chelsea. Hopefully Yan Diomande will listen to Mourinho instructions so that in the future he can develop into a great player that surpasses the achievements of Didier Drogba, who is highly respected in his country. i thing Real Madrid a ready for the laliga this season.
