I'm not a fan of watching average teams playing their matches in Laliga but because I'm bored and cannot wait for the league to start fully, I decided to watch the opening match between Alaves and Getafe.

The first half is over and Getafe has opened the season with a red card on the 42nd minutes of the game after an awkward tackle by Femenia to reduce his team to ten men. The first half ended goalless and it's a big advantage to Alaves in the second half for them to break the deadlock as they play against ten men.

We will see if they will be able to secure a win from this match, they are have ended the first half without any goal, let see what will happen in the second leg. I just hope Alaves will be able to secure a winning in their first match of the season, that will be a big motivation to them if they do that.

Mourinho is a good coach, if he can create discipline in the team and if he is able to build a good relationship with everyone then we can definitely expect to see something good from Mourinho this season. Mourinho is very aware of his counter-attacking and we will definitely see him use Mbappé and Vinícius in a great way. For those who constantly play sports, waiting for the busy league season to start is very difficult. The time has really become boring until the league is completely busy. I feel that at some point, Getafe got tired of defending, trying to cover up for the one man that got sent off and as such Alaves took advantage. To be honest, I didn't expect to see three goals in the game because of how well Getafe kept blocking Alaves and they too kept missing chances but at the end it was a worthy win for the hosts as they never stopped asking questions even when Getafe proved stubborn.

Today is indeed a lucky day for deportivo Alaves, from start know one believed such weak win would be gotten by deportivo but all thanks the red card that gave them the opportunity to go home untouched at last.
I will say getafe did a nice job despite the lost but I know if not for that red card the game won't have ended the way it did because both teams has almost equal strength and if time is not taken getafe would have won the game because they appear more promising than deportivo alaves in the game .

Among all Sevilla going home with a draw is the worst result I think surfaced today, before the start of the game i believed Sevilla where okay to win but how they allowed such result is what i can't tell till now.

I’m actually pretty disappointed with the result of this match. I was hoping Getafe would win it. Based on their level of play, I still consider Getafe to be slightly better. But luck just hasn’t been on my team’s side yet. And well, Alavés managed to win with a pretty solid score of 3-0. I think this could indeed be a lucky season for Alavés. Last season, Alavés wasn’t very lucky, but it looks like things will be different this season.

Was busy and didn't watch the first half of the game. I tuned in around the 78th minute of the game with the game still at a goal to nil in favour of Slaves. No other goal was scored in normal time but the home team scored two goals in additional time to end the game with a 3:0 scoreline. Well, this is the first game of the season so I'll not be too generous to say that Alaves is a top contender to finish in the top half of the table.

My first favorite team in La Liga is Barcelona and my second favorite team is Atletico Madrid. Although Atletico Madrid have very little chance of winning the title, they play great part of the season every season and raise expectations among the fans. But in the end, they fail in their attempts. Mainly because of this failure, I support them as I do Arsenal. Like Arsenal, Atletico Madrid may also win the title one day.

Atletico Madrid lacks consistency and confidence and that’s what has been killing their games no matter how they plan to end the season well, they always fail in the end. La Liga is contended by two major teams every year, Barcelona and Real Madrid, although Atletico Madrid has also won the league before with their present manager.

Diego Simeone has been backlashed in the past for being old way, and if he doesn’t improve his playing style, he’ll never get to win the La Liga ever again, hence the poor performance his team always ends up with even if they start the league in a very good way. I didn't watch the La Liga opener, what I saw from highlights, Alaves won comfortably. The first game I watched this season was Sevilla's game. I didn't watch the full 90 minutes, but I had the game on in the background while I was doing other things.

Rayo took the lead very early but Sevilla won the match with 2 penalties. It was a dramatic ending for Rayo. Conceding a goal in 90+4 minute right after Salas' red card was truly unexpected.
Last season Sevilla narrowly avoided relegation in last weeks. This time they've started the season with a win. I hope they can play the kind of football we've been missing, the kind that challenges the top teams. Their roster isn't that great but they could push for a spot that would secure a position good enough for European cup qualification. I think that's Luis Garcia's target as well.

Barcelona needs not just Rodri but another striker to compete if Real Madrid can have a good team play then I doubt Barcelona can do anything. We know they have the most solid squad in La Liga but unfortunately lack the team play or unity for their success in this past two seasons but things will be better hopefully.

As i’ve always said and will say now too that Barca hasn’t been the team that always had the best players, except messi being the best ofc most of the players they had were quite normal compared to madrid which always brought new players and formed the “galacticos” many times. So it’s the same now, madrid hasn’t brought players and look very strong but what barca has is the ability to take the most out of even an ordinary player and that is what makes it a great team. It creates rather than buying which automatically makes it my favourite team. I like anything that has some quality itself, not bringing it from other things.
