I don't know what Barcelona plan is concerning this deal of Alvarez but they seem to be too optimistic despite Athletico being firmed and ruled off the deal that they aren't selling for now. Multiple reports said the player is interested but Athletico made it clear that they are keeping him.

They actually need to sign a striker if they want to compete for the la Liga trophy or the champions League trophy, Barcelona is a club that should have a very good striker someone that can give them goals, they should actually try to look for someone before the season starts because it's very clear, they can't get Julian Alvarez anymore since atletico Madrid has said they are not selling him.

Your thoughts are reasonable but for me, I don’t think it’s enough to treat those factors you just mentioned as enough to justify the BTTS option as the best option for this game. Missing key attackers may someone make Atletico’s chances of winning to be slimmer, while conceding in friendlies on the other hand may somehow suggest some kind of a defensive vulnerability,  but we need not to also forget that friendly matches often have different intensity and lineups.

Julian Alvarez might be absent, same as Sorloth due to fitness, I don’t think there will be goals in the match that much, the goal scorers are absent, therefore, they will be limited number of goals in the match.  Betting both teams to score is also risky in my opinion because Malaga have more injured players than Atletico Madrid, they will likely come for a draw which is possible in the game, but I don’t think Atletico Madrid under Diago Semione will lose their first match. They might win but with at least one goal. Therefore, under 2.5 is my prediction in this match.

How many trophies they can win in the coming season depends on Lewandowski's replacement. If Barcelona can't fill that gap, they can still win La Liga and the Copa del Rey, and without a capable striker, winning the Champions League is definitely a difficult task. But if they can get Alvarez, I also expect Barcelona to win the treble next season. I don't agree with you that every department of Barcelona's current team is strong. Although the defense, midfield and the two wings of their attack line are strong, they have been without a striker for the last two seasons, meaning their "CF" position is very weak. Well, I'm not expecting to see that part of Rodri because Manchester city under pep, and Barce under Flick, are two different teams with a complete different footballing system/structure. I expect to see him delivering his best. He might not necessarily be paired with De Jong especially if Hansi flick prioritizes a quality squad depth and isn't willing to risk key players in the starting eleven, but I expect a quality performance in their midfield, and maybe something close to where Busquets left off.

The way am seeing this coming season, most coaches may be different on thier strategies compared to last season, especially the clubs taht are signing new players against next season. It's actually not about players to some extent, but is about the manager or Coaches who can creat a full confidence on the players, giving the players thier roles to play as expected, and then makes them believe on the strategy, that can actually makes the players looks more great than many people thought of, and make improvements on the club.

Base of my own perspective towards Real Madrid, having a well tallented players doesn't full guarantee the success/victory alone. Well I believe on Mourinho's tactics towards bigger teams, he will definitely look for a system that would handle any big teams. Real Madrid has enough of what it takes to compete with Barcelona,but we can’t say vouch for any at this moment.

Now, you guys are saying Barcelona only won the league because Madrid were bad. Instead of acknowledging that Barcelona were accually the better team regardless of Madrid's form. They scored the most goals and conceded the least. They also had the most cleansheet, for a team that people complain about how much they concede.

This is going to be an interesting match, it has been a long time when both teams met and now they are meeting in their first match of the league, Atletico Madrid's performance in the last five matches are not in a very good shape and now they are hosting malaga but despite that I still have confidence that Atletico Madrid will do well to start the season with winning.
