They are in the lead because Real Madrid and Barcelona have not yet taken the field. But for them it's nice to be in the lead even if for a short while.

Atletico Madrid for several years just don’t seem to amuse many of us again. As for Barcelona, their squad looks stronger after adding several quality players. Rodri is expected to miss the match, but I do not think that will have a major impact on their chances of starting the season with a win.

Although the attack line and midfield seem strong, I cannot trust Real Madrid's defense. With this defense line, it may not be able to stop the opposing team's attack line players in the first half. We may see Marc Cucurella and Rudiger on the field in the second half.

I don’t know why people were having doubt in Vini and Mbappe playing together, the goal was always for them to play together. Jose morihno was brought to Madrid so he can make them work together, he his the only coach I believe that is available that can manage their Ego. He has managed so many big players, to handle Vini and Mbappe should not be a him.


Real Madrid is currently winning, Jude Bellingham have scored already. So far Real Madrid look in solid and also in control, I expect to see much goals from them. I think Atletico Madrid now is like that of the Arsenal in the Wenger era, that time the Arsenal fans don't care who win the league or how the league ends, the one thing they are rest assured is they are making it to the UEFA Champions League the next season, and that has kept on going till Wenger left the team, I believe that's same position this Atletico Madrid team find themselves, so long they are qualifying for the UEFA Champions League competition for the next season I think they are very much okay with it, they don't give a damn who won the league title.

Madrid missed the first half with 1 goal from Espanyol but looking at the performance in the first half this should be 3 points.

The second half begins and there will definitely be some changes made by Mou here because even though their scheme is still going well but there is still something lacking here. Bernardo still didn't contribute much in the first half and he has to improve his performance because at the moment he is vipot now but in the first half he still didn't do his job well.

Yan Diomande will definitely play especially with the current situation where his score is still not too comfortable for Madrid.

This odds is ok, your assumptions are right because they both deserve to win this match, but at 72 minutes of the game between Real Madrid and Espanyol, it’s 1-1; Real Madrid scored one goal by Jude Bellingham at a very earlier minute it the match, and Espanyol equalized in the 30th minute it the game; after then, the game wasn’t stable for Espanyol because Real Madrid is pressing really hard to win this match; they started their best squad in this match, yet they struggling to get the second goal.

The Laliga title challenge will have to start today for Real Madrid, they will not want any mistake that will make Barcelona to take the lead in the Laliga table because they know that it will be a very tough competition this season.

You seem to have understood the dynamics of Real Madrid performance today because currently the match is going the way you said, they started with Mbappe and Vinivius while Diomande came later on within 64 minutes and is been 1:1 between them and Espanyol, although i guess Mourinho didn't want to start with all of them so that their performance will still continue to be very strong on the second half but however I don't no how many new signing Espanyol did but they seem like a club who will not be won very common this season because even Real Madrid with all the best players have not won them.

Carlos Espi's 90th minute goal is what's separating both teams at the moment.

Before the game, I was thinking it'll be an easy day at the office for Jose Mourinho's team but the home team since the start of the game have been throwing everything to get a result.

Just as I'm typing, the final whistle has been sounded and narrowly, Real Madrid has stolen the full three points. A good start for Jose Mourinho but he still needs to do better if he really want to win the Spanish championship this season

Madrid won the match, but they had to endure a lot of pressure, it's not that Madrid won very comfortably against Espanyol, Yan Diomandé and Marc Cucurella came on in the 63rd minute, but despite the combination of Yan Diomandé, Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé in Madrid's forward line, they couldn't score. And the match was heading towards a 1-1 draw, but at the very end madrid finally managed to score a goal in the 90th minute, and somehow won the match. Madrid's attack had many attempts, but despite having such a strong forward line, they couldn't break through Espanyol's defense and score, which really disappointed me. Although they won the match and kept the points, their overall performance was not as devastating as it should have been, although it was their first match so I expect Madrid to strengthen themselves over time.

It was an amazing match for Real Madrid against Espanyo, they won their first if the season I just hope it will be a motivation to them to do more because the league is just getting g started and many competitors are fully ready for the season. So it will be a tough season.

However,  Barcelona will be playing against Elche tomorrow that will be another interesting match, I can't wait too see Barcelona winning that match tomorrow it will be an interesting game, let's what will happen by next season.

Are we going to see the same Real Madrid from the last years, the team is again winning at the last minute of the match, saved by Carlos Espi, who is a great striker who also scored multiple times within the friendly matches before the start of leagues, knowing he did a good season with Levante, his ex-team.
So far we are looking at a new tactical team getting shaped by Mourinho, but we should never judge from the beginning of the season; the coach is a person who goes slowly but steadily!
