I've never disputed their strength and potentials so I wasn't surprised that they were able ti sweep Elche aside.

Real Madrid narrowly won yesterday against Espanyol but that's a team under a new manager that's yet to find their full rhythm. When Madrid is fully back, I think they'll be more difficult to play.

Watching Barcelona's game, I think this season will be a fierce one between them and Real Madrid, as both have shown positive results in their first matches. Although Barcelona's performance clearly looks very impressive.

I think they still need to buy a striker. A natural striker. Even if they don't get Alvarez, they should get someone else. Raphinha is not a natural striker, and even though he may play that position well, he won't be as effective as a natural striker. If any one of their wingers gets injured and they don't have a striker, the attack will be weakened. The season is very long. You can't decide to play without a striker based on the first game against Elche. I believe a natural striker that is a good goal scorer is the final piece of the puzzle for Barcelona. Raphinha, Lamine and the striker can start in attack in important games, then Gordon and Adeyemi can be backups.

I also think that the two things that could stop Barcelona or let say disrupt them from winning the league and every other possible trophies they participate in today is that issue of center forward and also the defense. I was seriously expecting that Barcelona would have gotten a back up striker by now even if it is those mid table teams or related ones that actually had strikers that were scoring two figure goals, this striker can be given short contract and not long term own, an example was some strikers Real Madrid had signed like Joselu and went on to win the champions league with him. This is what elite clubs do as back up plan and when it does work they can easily offload him later on. Like how Real did to Joselu.

Raphinha is playing the center forward well right now but there will be period where you just simply need a natural striker most especially for area battles and such striker can help bring the ball down and also be a good goal poacher too and with Lewandowski gone and also Ferran Torres I think Barcelona should try get a back keeper. Also the defense needs an over haul to compete at the highest level

Julián Álvarez started from the bench for Atlético Madrid against Villarreal. He came on the pitch in the 66th minute but couldn't change the already existing 2-2 scoreline. I think the game ended that way.  

What's more interesting about the game is that Julián Álvarez was heavily booed by the Atlético Madrid supporters. If this continues, Julián Álvarez may decide to leave ATM as the environment is too toxic for him to play. Against Malaga, he wasn't even part of the squad.

Alvarez seemed not wanna play. So he's getting benched. It's also the reason they're keen in selling him back to the EPL club instead of Barcelona. Especially, after Barcelona succeed with their strategy to put Adeyemi as their new striker.
So Alvarez is no longer needed in the flick's mechanism. So my guess Alvarez will be leaving from La Liga very soon. Arsenal is to be his potential destination to play.

He has only two choices to play for Atletico or leaving from the league because his team is not keen let him leaving to rival. It's interesting to see what decision he's gonna take it soon. Beside that Barcelona feels like a complete team. right now. I can see them win la liga easily without the help of him.

We can’t compare Real Madrid’s first match performance in the league to that of Barcelona’s, they’ve been well excellent and more impressive than their biggest opponent. Both team may have won their first games of the season, but Barcelona got it easier than Real Madrid as they’ve putting even more effort for a victory than Real Madrid did. Maybe their opponents are the ones that are given them a hard time rather than them having the ability to conquer them easily. Barcelona are looking to be the favorite for the title already, but I still think it is early for that, let’s see what the two teams will offer us as the season prepares to begin fully.

Barcelona is the last team to be questioned anyway. They always do everything to be the best. Just thinking about Barcelona's squad makes me hyped. Imagine how stressed and scared teams like Elche are before a match, trying not to lose by a large margin. I was surprised that Yamal didn't provide an assist or score a goal today. Also, Gavi left the match due to a knee injury. He tore his cruciate ligaments, which is really worrying.

We should leave Real Madrid out of this because they too have their own weak way of starting from the scratch, even if they won we should understand that their new head coach is the big boss Mourinho. Barcelona almost made me regret ever watching tonight's game, I mean in the first 45'mins they didn't show too much hunger to snatch the 3pt off this newly promoted club called Elche. They allowed them to enjoy the game throughout the whole of first half and if not for that penalty it would have been a goalless half, all because Yamal wasn't active in the game. One thing about these smaller teams is that if you allow them see much of the ball they might spoil things for you without looking back that is why I like saying "if you see who you can beat, please beat the team very well", without doing that the others will always love to try.
It was a good game from Barcelona especially the second half after Olmo and the other guys came in to enjoy themselves, it was massively worth watching, Gordon was something special today, he had a bigger chance of scoring but he let his teammate to get the goal and with time that favor will be given back to him, good display by the new guys and also, Flick didn't start this season with that crazy high line of a thing if not it wouldn't have been a clean sheet for the squad, he should continue with this pattern.

Barcelona played so impressively that I was impressed by their game. There were several goals where a player passed the ball to another player even though he had the chance to score. This is the charm of football because there is a lot of selfishness among Real Madrid players, especially those who try to score goals themselves instead of passing the ball to another player, which results in the team losing.

A big win against Elche in the first match will be a great start for Barcelona and boost the morale of the players. Raphinha played brilliantly and I thought he might score a hat-trick in this match, but overall Barcelona got a deserved result.

I knew that Carlos Espi can be the man for Real Madrid, despite the fact that he is not a big name compared to other players in the team, he has come to their rescue and gave them a goal in a critical time they needed the goal to give them their first three points and first win of the season.

I can see how the manager was happy when Carlos Espi scored the goal, the entire squad were happy because the team looks solid compare to last season, but the players still need to get to understand themselves more to make the team look more better this season.

I don’t know why Real Madrid fans like criticizing Vini Jr. he might regret signing contract extension with Real Madrid because he will continue to face this same problem when ever he didn’t perform well in a match; therefore, the fans need to support their players by all means for the benefit of the team.

Well, in my opinion, Espí should have been the MVP of the match, not Bellingham. Although Bellingham played more minutes and did shine, Espí was specifically requested by Mourinho. He knows that Espí plays not for himself, but for the team. The goal he scored was good because Mbappé wasn't going to finish the play with a goal; the goalkeeper had already blocked every option. But Espí came in and put it to the side where the goalkeeper could never reach it.

Vini's performance is representative, and besides, he's good. They won't be getting rid of him for now. Didn't you notice that Mourinho defended Vini in the press conference? What does that mean? It means he's in Mourinho's hands. He'll mold that wild Vini into a player for the team.

Barcelona just gave a wake up call to Real Madrid, it’s a statement winning telling Real Madrid that they’re not going to leave the La Liga title alone for them, I watched the Real Madrid and Barcelona games respectively, but I don’t understand what kind of playing style that Real Madrid are playing, I have said several times here, that Mourinho style of play is an old fashioned style of football, so I’m not expecting anything special from Real Madrid, Real Madrid was struggling to win their game during the weekend.

How could he be their game changer when the fans are showing hatred? It will be very difficult this season for Atletico Madrid to see the best of Julian Alvarez. First, he has no intention to continue with the club and secondly fans are booing him. it's just as if he's been force to play, which he might play out of concentration and lose more interest for the team. In my opinion they should just let him go, that will favor the club.

With the kind of treatment he is receiving I don't even think he would be motivated to play well, they are just making the whole thing worse for the team. Why keep a player who has no interest anymore? He definitely won't be happy playing and have no reason to play well for the team, the only reason he has to perform well is to protect his form and career so other teams can still show interest when it's time to leave.  I now have this dislike for any team that keeps a player against their will stay.

The two teams Barcelona and Real Madrid understand that They're both dangerous and need every concentration on the smaller teams to build their points. Barcelona set the standard for real Madrid with that Elche's demolition. Real Madrid struggling through the first 90 minutes to be able to get a late winner against Espanyol is not a good reputation to them or it does not give hope for the season.

Real Madrid made good signings too but I will say that both the old players and the new players are struggling to adapt to the team because of the new manager unlike the Barcelona team where the Older players play freely because they already understood the coach. The old players cover the errors from the arriving players in order to give a good performance at the end. Real Madrid has more work to do because their team is like a total overhaul which puts the manager, older players and New players all into stress of getting it right and doing it right. This struggle may continue for real Madrid until after few more weeks when they've fully adapted to the system and themselves.

I'd say a one-sided game, he practically dominated the pitch.
They have a squad of interesting and really very good players, but I wouldn't call this match a great success, I don't want to discredit Elche, but they're still not on equal levels, they're really on two different levels, so it was an excellent match for Barcelona, No I don't take it into consideration, I'd like to see what happens with teams of equal levels.

Leaving is the best solution when it's no longer needed. Supporters should understand this situation. Being an Argentine star at the World Cup but not playing to the fullest at the club. He is Julian Alvarez, and even until now he hasn't played much and spends a lot of time on the bench. There are even many reports that he was booed when entering or leaving the field. Indeed, after the World Cup, Alvarez stated he wanted to leave. His goal is Barcelona or Arsenal. But it seems Alvarez's fate is going to be very different.

Barcelona, on the other hand, with their fast paced play and few moments of hesitation, showed they can hold their own in this La Liga season too. Raphina played very well and demonstrated his ability to turn matches around when the pace picks up and he’s in the mood to play, whilst Fermin López could be the natural replacement for Ferran, who has moved to PSG.

Yes, Barcelona started this season very well and Barcelona's game was very good. The 5-0 score that was produced in that match certainly indicates that Barcelona is indeed ready for this season and will be ready to compete again with strong teams for the trophy. But in my opinion, it is natural that Barcelona can win and score a lot of goals when playing against Elche because of course the Elche and Barcelona squads are certainly much stronger than Barcelona and in my opinion if Barcelona can beat strong teams in the upcoming matches, then that would be a better thing for Barcelona to achieve, but yes, Barcelona by beating Elche also with a score of 5-0 is certainly a good thing, but what is certain is that Flick must be ready because there are definitely many teams that are stronger than Elche.

Indeed, Barcelona's victory sent a message to their rivals that they would be ready to win the La Liga trophy again and surely now Barcelona's rivals must prepare a very strong force if they want to become champions in La Liga and it seems that strong teams such as Real Madrid need to prepare a very strong force if they want to become champions in La Liga. Now I'm curious about Barcelona's next match against Bilbao and surely that match will be even more exciting, who do you think will win that match?
