Another trial for José Mourinho. Real Madrid struggled to win Espanyol in their first leg. Real Madrid narrow win against Espanyol has shown that Real Sociedad could make this game difficult for Real Madrid to win.

The fixture was postponed due to several Real Madrid players performing in the World Cup and needs some more rest. I have always believed that this game will be a more difficult one for Real Madrid than the their last game. First half is almost over and we are yet to see a goal in the match, Real seems to be struggling with scoring goals and it's due to the change of coach but I am sure it will soon be over when the team is more stable and settled.

I have the believe that at the end Real Madrid will win this game, they have every advantage to win. They have the home advantage so I expect them to win this one no matter how difficult it gets.

You call a season without a title a great season! It seems very funny to me. They failed not only in La Liga, but in every tournament. Another funny thing is that they played very well but failed in two seasons in a row.

This season, Real Madrid still does not have quality players in the midfield, I do not think the available midfield will be enough to win the title. Even in attack, there is a lack of good alternatives to Mbappe or Vinicius. A good XI is not enough to win the title, but also depth is needed. If someone in the attack line is missing, it will affect the team.

They did not seem confident enough in the first match of this season either. There is some weakness in the defense. They do not seem very confident in the second match either. Real Sociedad is repeatedly entering the D-box with the ball and creating scoring opportunities. They have already conceded 1 goal due to a weak defensive line, with the match tied 1-1 in the first half.

Mourinho's lineup is very disappointing, Cucurella is fit, Arnold is good, why does he play Carares and Dumfries? Those guys aren't just doing anything special in this match. Dumfries cannot push attack at all, he's always returning the ball. I'm not satisfied with Real Madrid play this first half. Real Sociedad troubled them so much for an underdog with 7 odds, while Madrid had 1.16. I hope Mourinho makes necessary changes as substitutes started warming up even before halftime. The ball went very close to the goal post with a shot and Luka Sučić ran in and put the ball in the goal post. The score is now 1-1, it's really unacceptable, Madrid conceded the goal through their own mistake, and Luka Sučić scored the goal through 3 defenders. It was very unexpected. Anyway, in the second half they should take these weaknesses into account, and play the match with caution, these kinds of weaknesses are the reason for losing points and losing match.

I get your frustration, but to me I feel like it’s too early to get discouraged from supporting them, this is just one of their second laliga game this season, and Mourinho is still putting the squad together. This night is actually one of the best night ever to me and it’s also a good test for Madrid because Real sociedad already lost their opening against Betis while Madrid still have the advantage of playing at the Barnabeu and I expect Madrid to win tonight even tho I know real sociedad is not a small team they can also dominate when you don’t expect and I won’t underestimate them.

I guess it is safe to say the world cup hangover is showing in the squad, the fatigue contributed to their decision making, Madrid looked so out of tactics and disorganized in the first half, the players are really trying to play the demanding structure of Jose Mourinho. They are trying to adapt and you can see the difference because last season they had some freedom to express themselves on the pitch but now they have to stick to the script.

I know Real Suciedad is going no where, no matter how thier efforts is being put Into the match, Real Madrid would not give them a silly chances of equalizing them. Even as they equalized the 1 goals I know Real Madrid would definitely turn up well in the second half, right from the beginning there was a consistency in the game from both teams, though at time some bigger teams seem difficult to survive in games like this, but Madrid has off everything at once, the new manager may actually requires the players time to understand his tactics, most especially if the strategies are different from what they have been used to normally. The defensive lineup for today’s game wasn’t the best, Mourinho could have used the other defenders to solidify his defense but I think he wants to test this lineup for Real Sociedad because he considers them a lesser competitor. Nevertheless in the second half they were able they were able to take control of the game again and score four goals to get their first win at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

Just as you’ve said it, Real Madrid won with four goals to one at last, Real Sociedad conceded three goals in the second half, Mbappe scored a Hattrick, Bellingham gave two assists and Vinicius also scored a goal and assisted in this game.  There’s still need for improvements in their performances though, especially in the forthcoming games against Atletico Madrid and the El Clássico.

But now I'm satisfied, Madrid were very good in attack in the second half, and then in the 60th, 68th and 80th minutes, that is, 3 goals in 30 minutes, roughly every 10 minutes. And Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick in this match, their performance was very offensive. But in comparison, Sociedad couldn't attack at all in the second half. The way after Sociedad conceded a goal and then immediately they also score a goal and equal the score, I thought they would be able to compete well in the second half, but they weren't good in attack compared to that. And Mikel Oyarzabal was sent off in the 57th minute, I didn't like it.
However, I get a hope from this Madrid match that maybe they can go to a good stage this season. The next match is against Málaga, they have no pressure about it.
And anyway, Barcelona's game tomorrow, against Athletic Club, I'm sure Barcelona will win this match.

There were a lot of critics about Real Madrid in the first game, that they played poorly and they were even lucky they got a late winner. The first game to a season is one of the hardest games in the league, it doesn’t matter which opponent you playing against. Today we saw how Real Madrid played better, especially in the second half. There is never doubt about Mbappe performance, he is a proven goal machine, and he his off his Mark again this season.

It going to be a competitive season, it now 2 wins in 2 games for Jose morihno. The team look much better today and there was very much chemistry between them today. Playing in Bernabue really helped also, the fans played a crucial role in this win also. Now back to Barcelona, can they win their second game of the season also.

Very convincing win for Los Blancos tonight, not just convincing but worth all the minutes being watched as they played at home tonight. Over the weekend it wasn't like this but this was entirely different, we will be seeing more of this when the team fully integrate and understand themselves. 4 goals scored and 1 conceded again, hopefully the defence will improve so when they get a scrappy 1 - 0 in a difficult match, they can be able to withstand the pressure and hold on for the win. Mbappe once again proves his the main man of the team and will be in contention of the Pichi chi award this season again, another hat trick to his belt.
