Barcelona is a great team and one that I admire so much, the beautiful football and passing on the pitch is something that brings back the tiki taka pattern that most clubs cannot replicate. Last season, Barca had an issue with always conceding even against the least team in the league but this season is a lot more different as they have kept two clean sheet in their last two games in the La Liga. Barcelona played very well to yesterday, they tried very well to score many goals, but Bilbao's defense was very tight. If you watched the ball, you'll not blame them. Raphinha smarted his way through their defense for the first goal before halftime, seems Bilbao want a very easy nut to crack like many people thought before the match. At some point, I already ruled out that game to have being a draw. Valencia was playing well that, I didn’t see how Real Betis could have managed to gain the day neither did I thought of them as a losing team but, I expected a draw from that fixture.

Barcelona performance was very good despite them scoring one goal in their first half but one thing to note in the game was their ability to keep on pressing Athletic Bilbao when the goal wasn't coming and they made sure they never allowed Bilbao to create scoring opportunity till the end of the game.

Afterall their victory has kept them in first place above Real Madrid. It’s fair to say these two teams will be locked in a tight race, as no other team has been able to challenge them in La Liga since the 2020–2021 season, when Atlético Madrid last did so. Since then, only Real Madrid and Barcelona have continued to compete at that level.
