Wow, this is really something to look forward to. Raphinha and Mbappé have both scored three goals in La Liga so far. But I’m convinced that Mbappé will win the Golden Boot this season. For some reason, I feel that Mbappé has a better scoring instinct than Raphinha. Plus, Raphinha is playing center forward this season, a position he’s never played before. Mbappé, on the other hand, has already proven himself to be Real Madrid’s goal scoring machine.

There's actually a higher chance Mbappe has more  goals than Raphinha at the end of the season but it's not about the "insticts". Raphinha isn't really a number 9 and there's  possibility that Barcelona still sign a striker if they can't eventually get Alvarez.

With  Barcelona taking  Raphinha as their main striker for this season, there's high chance he compete for the golden boot but on one condition,  no injury tbat will keep him out for month(s).

It seems like there have been some improvements or strengthenings in the defensive area as well. We're seeing a much better defense in matches now. Barcelona hasn't even conceded a goal in the two matches they've played so far.

Exactly they should be able to prove it by winning the Champions League, in their first match I considered it a very good beginning but with a weak team I'm not confused. Truly Athletic Bilbao were so lucky to have conceeded only two goal considering the opponent they faces.. Bilbao hasn't really been in form in form since the start of this season... Honestly I usually considered their games with Barcelona as 50/50 chance. In my opinion what matters in their match is victory, because it will be very difficult to expect Barcelona to keep your clean sheet with with either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid. Although with the last two matches Barcelona have played they shown little improvement in their defense, but still it's enough unless if they continue to keep that cleansheet in a row before we can say there defense is solid.

This is a club that's never won the competition in the last 11 years and as we speak,  doesn't have a world class striker that can help them break that jinx.

They started early and have won two out of two league games but their Thursday win against Bilbao wasn't that convincing. Again, they're yet to face a strong team that can match their quality, we'll see how they perform when that happens.

For obvious reasons Barcelona cannot prove to the world that they have the best squad, they have an excellent squad, performing, very active and certainly prepared to face all the challenges, but they do not have the best squad in the world.

Sevilla for sure used to be one of the strong teams in la liga but it seems the club is going through some financial issues for the past couple of seasons now,they’re unable to sign some world class players, they sold all their best players and fighting bankruptcy. I heard it was Sergio Ramos who decided to help the club since it’s his boyhood club by buying a share in the club to help invest in the club to gradually recover from their financial problems. Well, The match between the two teams ended 1:3 in favor of Atletico Madrid, Sevilla were able to get a consolation goal in the second half where they try to improve their performances but it wasn’t enough to totally cancel out the 3 goals lead by Atletico Madrid/

Mourinho seems to want to make Diomande like Di Maria back when he first became Madrid coach. With the current player lineup, Mourinho will rely on speed on the left and right wings for counter attacks because versatile players are needed to cover the gaps of absent players such as Fede, Camavinga, and now Diomande. 

Besides that, Mourinho brought in Diomande because he has a plan to use him against teams playing with three defenders. Diomande can exploit open spaces in the opponent's wide areas and can also cut inside while delivering crosses to help Madrid's forwards. But actually, Diomande is really Madrid plan B after Olise failed to join Real Madrid. But so far, compared to Olise, Diomande seems more complete because he can play in various attacking positions, whereas Olise mostly stays on the right wing with his signature cut-ins.

How much Real Madrid defense has improved can be understood through matches against strong teams. I would not consider it unusual that Espanyol and Real Sociedad conceded one goal each to these two teams, but I saw both matches and understood that Mourinho needs to focus on strengthening the defense.

So even if Barcelona didn’t sign a new striker in the winter transfer window because the summer window is less than 48 hours remaining to close and it’d be a big surprise for Barcelona to get a striker in this short period of time, I suppose Raphinha can also adapt to that position and play well as a striker for Barcelona this season.
