Yes Real Madrid are waiting for their time to return. To be honest, I often feel the same way. Maybe that is a possibility and I don't see much reason not to. Having the squad is one thing and maintaining the squad to perform in both competitions is different, over the years Barcelona has dominated the championship but has not replicated the same form in the champions league, there were times Barcelona got kicked out in the first Knock out stage which is the round of 16. They have dominated in the last two year of the league, from what's happening currently they will win the championship again this season, maybe the championship is so easy that's why they are good in it and not good in the champions. Last season it was Atletico Madrid they always beat in the championship that eliminated them in the champions league, the other time it was Inter who got disgraced in the finals that eliminated them in the semis.

It is true that Barcelona’s squad is strong enough for both the Champions League and La Liga, however, the club cannot afford to take any risks. That is why having a high-quality reserve squad is essential. I can see that Barcelona is currently facing a problem in the forward position, they are left with very few alternatives following the departures of Lewandowski and Ferran. After a disappointing lose in their league, Madrid used the Champions League tournament to regain their confidence, i wasn't expecting them to win Inter Milan. Anyway, that victory was really needed. Barcelona’s form this season looks better, they've had streaks of winning amd would likely continue so i believe they'll win Feyenoord, but am not very sure if Atletico Madrid can withstand Liverpool.

They could not show much attention in the Premier League or the Champions League. No matter how strong a team is, playing too many matches or having a busy schedule can lead to a loss of concentration among the players. There will be a fatigue mentality among the players and sometimes there can be an increase in the incidence of injuries in the team. Managers have to plan and strategize by taking each of these aspects into account. In my opinion, if Barcelona expect to win multiple major trophies, they are likely to fail in both.
