you're right, I'm not a fan of either Atletico or Real. but I'm not a Barcelona fan either even though I like the style of football they play. of course, the fight was very intense it was a derby after all. you can't expect a game like that to be like ballet. expected goals were 2.38 to 0.32 and shots on target were 9–3. as for me, it was rather creative considering Real went down to ten men early in the second half. I really liked that match because it truly captured the spirit of a derby. fouls are an integral part of games like this and 25 fouls in the match isn't actually that many.

Real is really struggling, they have no game plan. Mourinho kept the match tied in the first half and thought they would score a goal in the second half, but all his plans were thrown into disarray by the red card. Simeone knew how to win the match with the right tactics.

Atletico Madrid is the third best team in the La Liga and a derby team to Real Madrid but Real couldn't win them, how much more the defending Champions Barcelona. Moreover, the head to head of Barcelona versus Real Madrid last season is even worthy enough to show that Barcelona is in a long term dominance against Real Madrid so we shouldn't think he other way round in the El Clasico. Good, that's the optimism that a fan should have. But you don't have to ignore all the other factors that may be involved in all the remaining matches, of course this includes the fitness of the players and the improved performance of the other team. All teams are going to find a way to stop Barcelona, so I think no matter how optimistic you are today you can't take all your cards out. There are a lot of difficult games, Barcelona are required to win, but anything can happen otherwise due to Player mistakes or other reasons.

Barcelona have certainly proven that they deserve to be favorites in La Liga this season. This season has started to become bad for Real Madrid again, like last season. I think Atletico defeated Real Madrid in the league competition last season in their home, and now history repeats itself. I don’t know who will fix Madrid's problems, because I have started to notice that even Mourinho can’t save Madrid too. It still baffles me how a team that has almost a perfect squad cannot maintain consistency in their winnings. Real Madrid know their challenges but they're obviously being quiet about it because they want to be smart by having many big players without knowing that it will cause them more harm than good. At first, everyone was being concerned about Barcelona because they don't have squad depth and some vital position weren't filled up but they managed use the few signings they made to achieve great results.

Everything is fine, but only when the game is played cleanly from the start. Playing against 11 players, a head referee, and a full VAR system is a disadvantage that's difficult to overcome when playing football for just one club.

Let's break it down:

1.- A clear red card that they refused to call when the Atlético de Madrid player made a full studs-up challenge on Bellingham's leg.

2.- A red card that wasn't shown for another studs-up challenge on Valverde's ankle.

If Valverde had thrown himself to the ground and made a scene like many do, perhaps the opponent would have received a red card. But since he decided to continue playing—because sometimes football needs more playing and less complaining—it was an easy job for the referees.

So far in this season, Madrid have not displayed that confidence and calm precision that saw them winning trophies. Infact, in the last two seasons, they've been a shadow of themselves and there was a lot of expectations from fans because there was a new boss in charge, a familiar face and one who won't tolerate nonsense or slack. Today's game was very typical of how they've been performing since this season; weak, full of mistakes but somehow getting lucky to win, unfortunately today wasn't their day as Atletico Madrid decided that their neighbors, Real Madrid will not escape today's own by a hair's breadth.
 When I saw the way Atletico Madrid were playing the game, I knew it will be very difficult for Madrid, the way they dominated every aspect of the game got me wondering if this was the Madrid who specialized in Remotada( comebacks). This sounds really like a savage but when you come to think of what’s happening with Real Madrid now, it really seems like so. Out on earth will a club like Madrid miss 2 matches already out of just 7 games they’ve play so far. Whereas the likes of Barcelona have remained unbeaten so far. Unless something magical should happen, I’m not expecting them to be competitive for the first position of the table standing at this juncture.
