The referee's performance was terrible. Arda almost broke his leg in the first half. Looking at the referee's performance, much better referees should be assigned to matches like this. Such poor officiating overshadowed one of La Liga's most exciting matches. There are better referees in Spain, but this one was one of the worst, giving Real Madrid the right to complain. Mourinho also mentioned this in the press conference.
Arda’s performance has been on the rise in recent weeks. Opponents have found that the only way to stop him is to play rough. However, the turning point of this match was a mistake by Dean Huijsen. That mistake left Real Madrid down to 10 men on the field and gave Atlético Madrid the opportunity to take the lead... On the other hand, Mourinho continues to fall short in big matches, just as he did in Türkiye. He faced repeated criticism in Türkiye for failing to win derbies. If you can’t win derbies, you’re not better than your rivals in the race for the league title. Real Madrid scored their goal in the 89th minute with Rudiger and created their first serious scoring opportunity in the 77th minute of the match. This is a dismal picture for Mourinho’s second spell at Real Madrid. I think the danger bells are ringing for him...

Perhaps this is acceptable at Fenerbahçe, but if you play for Real Madrid, the number of big matches is much higher, and the tolerance for mistakes is much lower than in Turkey. Therefore, Jose Mourinho's second stint might be short-lived after a few bad results. He took over the team with great hopes, but so far Real Madrid hasn't been able to improve its mediocre football.

Honestly, I'm not happy with the referee that officiated the game because he wasn't professional enough and that he has given Mourinho the opportunity of not accepting his defeat and put the blame on the referee for their defeat which I can understand. However, I am totally disappointed with Real Madrid performance in that match. Regardless of the very controversial refereeing in this match because at least the referee made several fatal mistakes in this game that really harmed Madrid. Like, giving a yellow to Salah when Romero stepped on Bellingham, but he ended up giving the yellow to Bellingham then VAR corrected it and the card was moved to Romero. No red card for Kang-in Lee, Publil handball wasn't reviewed, and there were several other decisions that could be said to really hurt Madrid. But we have to admit, Madrid performance in this derby was really bad they played like there was no mission at all. I thought Mourinho coming in would make the players obedient and cohesive, but not at all; even their attacking and defensive transitions were still very bad. Although the La Liga championship still has 31 matches left, personally if Madrid game keeps not improving like this then we will most likely be congratulating Barcelona again at the end of the season. Before the international break Madrid was in fourth place in the La Liga standings up to matchday 7.

Well, the referee few decision was absolutely unfair but we should also need to look out the Real Madrid team strength like in entire match they were playing super badly although in terms of squad depths they have much better players than Atlatico Madrid and even their strategy regarding through the build up is much better but still they didn't made any productive move. Look guys at stats we can clearly see it that Real Madrid has less attempt on goal and also having little possession and even their attempt on goal was also minimal from Atlatico Madrid. That's super embarrassing moment for Real Madrid because Atlatico Madrid is defensive team but still they spotted more attempt than Real Madrid. I already told here that Real Madrid still have a lot of weakness. They should need to work on it otherwise Jose will also feel the same thing as Xabi Alonso.

In fact, I would actually prefer to see Bellingham playing in Mbappe's position.
man Bellingham plays as a number 10 in Madrid and has difficulties to even hit double digits in goals and assists in a single season. last season, he had only 5 assists in 40 matches. Even Arda, who comes off the bench to replace him, has 14 assists. But because Arda’s name isn't Julian Casablancas, no matter how good he is, he’s going to warm the bench. Take Di Maria, for example. he was disliked in a season where he bagged 27 assists and 12 goals and was shipped off the very next year. Football is purely a PR game. especially if you are playing in a club like Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have not get back to there best form this season yet, and we all think Mourinho will make that happen, but we see just a little changing, but still the team are still struggling in the league competition. To be honest, I won’t really blame Real Madrid for losing against Atletico Madrid, the Ref spoils the Darby, because I think he doesn’t knows what is doing in that pitch, is just blowing differently and favoring ATM in the match, and they get more opportunities and get the lead. If not because of the red card, I think Madrid Should have do better and achieve the three point, that is football, he doesn’t workout the way we want it sometimes.

A good team shouldn't let the decisions of the referee affect their game play. The referee did makes some wrong calls but I still think Real Madrid didn't play goo enough to win and they are now finding an excuse to blame the referee. I know it can be painful but Mourinho speaking out against the referee is not ideal IMO, the blame should be on the team Instead, there is still a lot of improvement to make and they should be more focused on that instead of blaming the referee. I looked at the media and found Mourinho completely dissatisfied with what the team went through throughout the game. Mourinho showed several photos related to violations that were considered severe but escaped punishment, but it was all clear his version. I am ultimately inclined to agree with what you said, the focus should be on the performance of the team instead of the performance of the referee who is judged unfairly only when his team loses. It's a derby match so things like these are expected, the intensity will definitely test the players but they must learn to remain professional and focus on the game. It's not the first time seeing referee's making a wrong call so they just need to accept, it could be in their favor sometimes too. I don't support injustice, but anyone can make a mistake, including the referee and his assistants. Had the score been in Real Madrid's favour, then I don't think the refereeing controversy would have been the most discussed topic.

For now the change expected from Mourinho may not be significant but the truth is he has done a great job at Real Madrid so far, what is remaining now is adaptation and nothing more. Before Mourinho was given the job, Real where in a complete mess and all where using them as a laughing stock but he came and brought them to winning runs in there first few games which am sure very soon the unexpected will surface and Real Madrid will become champions as they used to be before now. I will say the reason behind that dramatic lost yesterday was basically because of referees misconduct if not i don't think they would have lost as they did yesterday.

I think we can easily notice a big difference between the two clubs: Barcelona are a real team, they have a lot of chemistry and they are a strong group; on the other hand we have Real Madrid, a team that is literally divided in groups, with two huge primadonnas such as Mbappé and Vinicius. Do you remember when Xabi Alonso said it was like a kindergarten? He was right. As for unity and team spirit Barcelona is more complete in it than the current Real Madrid team and it's this lack of unity that has destroyed the strength of Real Madrid since some of the players in the team values and places their personal interest above that of the entire team success. I really don't know what this two players Vini and Mbappe are fighting at but I know that if in the times of Benzima and Ronaldo if they were having all this issues then it would have being impossible for Ancelotti to have made such a milestone achievement with the club as their manager.

In such games, refree can't be completely fair though. But the referee clearly supported a side more, valverde tackle wasn't a red but the one from lee was an obvious red, the second one which was against Bellingham is still fair as yellow though. There's something I don't understand about atletico, they try to always trap their opponents with red card and the refs do favour them too in big games . They did same thing more than twice to Barcelona last season too. The only unreasonable part of the after game is Realmadrid TV dragging Yamal into their defeat conversiation, despite knowing they didn't really playwell , doesn't make any sense.

Fans and football lovers needs to understand that Jose Mourinho will not fly the team immediately he takes over they still need to do more team work together before they can get things right and that's what he's trying to do with the team. Real Madrid has lost against Real Betis and Atletico Madrid in those matches they could not handle their defense properly that was why they lost. Jose Mourinho still needs more time to build the team to what he wants them to be and his players the level he wants them to reach, fans might be disappointed because of the poor performance they performed in their derby match yesterday but the referee also helped to destroy the game due to his poor officiating but Real Madrid needs to try more they need to get things right as a big team.

I think that's the problem alot of people have, Mourinho is not as much of tactician as he used to be, I feel the major reason they brought him in was for him to Unite the stars but that inadequacies is the issue they are having, not having a clear plan heading to a next feature. Some may say Kylian doesn't press but not all team members must press, in Chelsea's system, Palmer hardly presses, Barcelona has Yamal and so on, they just have to build there plab around that problem

He is a tested and proven manager, considering the fact that he just finished an unbeaten season with Benfica in the Portuguese league, coming down to the Laliga to manage and elite team like Real Madrid with the likes of Mbappe, Vini Jnr and Bellingham on his side, of course there has to be a lot of expectations but, his apparently falling short of them all as it is. They’ve lost to Real Betis and yesterday, they lost another game to Atletico Madrid. 2 losses now and Barcelona isn’t loosing any game neither have their goal scoring in every game being limited.

The genesis of this crisis should be attributed to the board because they just took their time to choke up the team with a bunch of egotistical superstars without buying good and appropriate midfielders to balance the equation of the team. The midfield has seen some shake up since the departure of Modric and Kross and the board instead spend maasively in buying just the flashy frontline, leaving Jose Mourinho without a proper and creative playmaker in the middle who can control the game and supply the frontline with good passes. Seriously any manager in the world no matter how good, will find that situation difficult. Jose Mourinho is just working with a broken engine that needs a mechanical surgery.

If you watch the Madrid team carefully this time around, you will notice that they are more aggressive now than in the hands of the previous coach. For me I would say let's just give him time to see the perfect team he will come up with.

Time flies. A lot seemed to have changed with Mourinho, he is not as capable as he used to so maybe the instant impact is just not able to work out anymore. A lot hasn't been going well for Mourinho but I think it's normal, fixing up a messed up team would definitely not be easy so maybe he also need time. At Real Madrid he won't have much time so he needs to hurry up with whatever he's doing and make the results consistent. They’ve lost to Real Betis and yesterday, they lost another game to Atletico Madrid. 2 losses now and Barcelona isn’t loosing any game neither have their goal scoring in every game being limited.
Not what we expected but patience is needed here. Real Madrid have a good squad to dominate anywhere but a lot of new faces arrived so might be reason why they are struggling. I think this season again Barcelona will dominate, the difference is clear.

I think this is the current situation that the new Real Madrid coach is facing because it seems like this club is where each player feels very important been signed by the club. There is a lot of clashes of ego both on the training field that we cannot see and even in the field This is why it is going to take an even longer time for any coach to try and bring this team together because it is a big club. It would be easier to build team spirit between team players who are looking to grow than to build team spirits with players who already think they're big enough and have achieved success.

Real Madrid always don't have much patience, they expect to see results speedily since they spend heavily on the club of which I don't blame them, but I think Mourinho needs a little more time to prove himself. Athletico Madrid may have not won that match if not for Hjuisen red card which still shows that a player's recklessness can cost a coach a good record. Real Madrid isn't performing as expected, but they're not doing very bad either. I think Mourinho should be allowed until mid season to see what he can achieve, although I doubt Real Madrid management would be willing to give him that much time.

I totally disagree with this because while both are not easy I do think assembling all players as new players is harder because this time around you are actually trying to blend in a totally new players and this is hard and also difficult because each player adaption will take lots of time but let’s say a manager meets any team with certain players already there, the manager would just need to play like a puzzle and need the backing just to prove my point. No matter what the team that’s already there will have chemistry already and the manager would only need to work on lesser number of players than the entire team and to me it’s easier to manage than a whole full team
