Diomande is surely overpriced and that's not a debate, Real Madrid would have made the worst signing of their life if he did not pull off this recent stunt with his performance. He has 4 goals and 4 assists in 14 appearances for Real Madrid and that's a pretty good stat for the 19 year old. I could observe that he is beginning to gain confidence as he plays more games, and that's good for his performance.
Overpriced?
Go look at how much English clubs were paying for bang average players.

The truth is that Diomande hasn't disappointed so far, and that suits his current price tag, according to me. Mind you, in the 14 appearances, he has just started a few games. Most of them he would come in as a substitute late in the second half

Obviously not comparable to the Premier League, their market is too expensive to consider anything more valuable than a player, and therefore their transfer fees are always the most.

That is a normal count if in my view, considering that his flight hours have not been given so much, and seeing that Real Madrid's performance has not been so good at all, so I think it is very natural, we cannot demand on one person with the condition of all players has not been maximized, I think this way of assessing like this is not wise, unless Diomande has been given a lot of playing time and many opportunities to score goals he missed, now it can only be said that he is not worth the price.

Now is not the time to say whether he is worth the price. He has had a disappointing performance in the first few matches, not because he is not talented but because the performance of the whole team was disappointing and the balance of the team was questionable. But their performance has improved recently, Diomande and the whole Real Madrid team are playing well now. Even now that he is getting a chance in the starting eleven, his performance is reflected in it.

We will have to give him a few more matches to see if he deserves this price. Maybe when the first half of the season is over we will be able to comment properly on this. But it is too early to comment now and we may be proven wrong. There will be expectations of a good performance from him in the Champions League match tonight and he may be able to meet those expectations.

Real Madrid have been going through a rough patch for the past two years. The team management has not yet been able to figure out where the problem lies. The team signed most of the players in midfield and defense during the last transfer window. The team has had some of the best and most famous players in the world before and still has them. But the team is going through a rough patch yet but I think the team will soon reach a good position and win trophies because Mourinho is an experienced manager and he is gradually getting the team together and getting good results.
I think Real Madrid will soon improve their team and Mourinho may be working on this. And Madrid's defense is also playing a very effective role, from their midfielders to the strikers, everyone is performing well now. I think they will continue to perform like they did in the 3-0 win over Racing Santander. And they will be more focused on the quality of their play, like they have in the past. If they can maintain their quality of play like this, then they will definitely win the title. Because the way they are playing now, it seems like they are heading towards the title. One thing I like about their style of play is that before, some of the players in the attack did not contribute enough to the defense. Now players like Bellingham and Diomand are also helping in the defense. That means they are trying to find their weak points, starting from the defense. And even though they haven't done well in the last two seasons, they are now trying to strengthen their performance even more.

I think at the moment Yan Diomande is better than Vinicius Jnr. When Vini returns he has to be the one to prove himself once again, I think this is going to be his biggest test and his performance will determine if he’s going to stay much longer at Madrid.

Madrid have gotten another sharp shot shooter in Diomande, he’s been scoring bangers since he found his scoring boots. Madrid looks like a team on a new path. The trust in Jose Mourinho is looking like a good choice now, let’s see how long it lasts!.

Nonsense! What is the reason for this unnecessary comparison?!

Yann Diomande is good but what has he won for and with Real Madrid?! I honestly dislike when I see such disrespectful statements put out this way especially with a player who is tested and approved and has won two times Champions league competition with Real Madrid.  Since Cristaino Ronaldo and Eden Hazard left, Vinicius Jr has done so well to carry the number jersey well. I will not be a part of those who choose disrespect. They are both good players working hard together to ensure that Real Madrid can win either of the Champions League competition or La Liga.

No one is disrespecting anyone here. Man just say the truth. He never said that Vinicius senior wasn't good before, he only said that Yandio is currently better than him. Yandio is still new. Man hasn't even spent up to a season in the club so you cannot expect him to magically just win trophies for Real Madrid. But man is on another level, and if he keeps up this way he will win those trophies that and a lot more for the club.

Put sentimentality out of the way, accept it that vinicius is currently in a worst form, should we now be praising him for this even when we have all seen how his bad performance has cost his team some goals. If Vinicius senior continues this way, his player rating will drop pretty fast. No clubs will even want to care the numbers of trophies he won before because they will never want to have someone that isn't producing anything in their team. Man should get his form back and all this trolling will stop.

Sometimes I think about what happens in Madrid dressing room, and how somebody like Vinicius Junior will be able to accept the fact that Diomande is now keeping him on the bench, where as he was supposed to be the face of Real Madrid
I know this might be so troubling to him as a person, therefore, when ever he doesn't see goal, I know he will deeply be disappointed.

Diomande also as a person is someone who has respect, and knows what Vinicius has done for himself  as a person,  and how he is being brought to be his replacement. In some context, this may not go down well with him as. Person, but he won't be able to change what has been written, and cannot also undone the  decision of the coach. All the young ladies need do now is keeping grinding and working hard because who will be the next Ballon dor winner, nobody knows.

The biggest problem with this team is that they have very good players, but they can't field the right lineup with these players. Because of these imbalances, I think there's a problem in the team right now. If you have star players, you need to be able to use them correctly.
I think there are problems at the management and coaching level. A team with so many good players should be flawless in every aspect Smiley
I don't think the reference should be about Diamonde, I always knew that Vini's days at the bernabeau were numbered since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, however, since Mbappe arrived at Real Madrid he has stolen the spotlight from Vini, I know Vini to be a natural talent and at such he would always prove to be a very important player for Real Madrid and as long as he isn't injured, he would always find his way back into the starting line up because he is still an important part of the squad.

Vinicius is a truly important player for Real Madrid. He has been absent from several league games in recent times, but it was not just the coach's decision to select the team. The problem is that he was banned for 4 matches after receiving a red card. Because of this, he could not have played in those matches even if he wanted to. When it comes to Diomande's performance, you have to admit that he has been a regular as a young player in Vinicius' absence and has made the most of it. However, it is not the same to have an opportunity to play well and to permanently remove an established player from the starting eleven. In fact, the coach has already used both of them in the starting eleven in the same match.

Well strangely, having too much good players in a team is also a problem because utilising each player becomes a big hurdle, generally good players tend to maintain their abilities and become better when the team is kind of centered around them, and the team can only be centered around one player so in a team full of good players many have to sacrifice the roles that they want themselves to play and contribute towards another player, and this seems to be the problem at madrid camp as no one wants to sacrifice, everyone wants to be in the spotlight
I don't think having good players is the problem. If you check, Real Madrid has always had good players, which has helped them win the Spanish league and the Champions League. I think right now there is something that is not going well. The problem might be with the coach; the positions can be a challenge for the players, which means they may not be good at the positions where they are placed. Every team has a time to shine and a time to struggle; it is possible that this is Real Madrid's struggle time.

Actually having many star players is a good thing but what is certain is that the role of the coach is very important and yes hopefully with Mourinho now coaching Real Madrid he can change the Real Madrid players to be united and finally create good cooperation when competing. but after seeing Real Madrid's last matches, of course, including being able to beat Barcelona, of course that indicates that Real Madrid has made progress when coached by Mourinho and yes, Mourinho is gradually improving Real Madrid, so we'll see what happens later. indeed, if Real Madrid can maintain its performance like this, there is a possibility that Real Madrid will become champions, but with the condition that Barcelona's performance has decreased and is not consistent in winning when competing.

Let's not make it look like the goalkeeper committed murder. The goalkeeper didn’t take a life, it was an accident that happened, but it is very unfortunate that the other player died as a result of that. We have seen goalkeeper and players collided in the past, none resulted to the death of any player. A life has been lost, but the goalkeeper didn’t challenge for the ball with the intention of killing the player.
Honestly we should be careful not to make it look like the goalkeeper intentionally killed someone, what really happened is unfortunate and it is very painful that another player lost his life through an accident. The goalkeeper went for the ball not with the intention of hurting or killing anybody, there is a difference between tragic outcome and deliberate act.

In the past we have seen. Where goalkeepers and other players collide on different occasions and most of those incidents have not led anybodys death. That should not make this particular one less serious, but we should just allow room for fairness and understanding when having discussion about it. The loss deserves respect but lets not turn an unfortunate accident into a murder accusation please.

There is a lot of debate on that and the police has opened up an investigation, which isn't usual at all in sporting events.

The difference is that those other incidents take place inside the penalty area, not in the middle of the pitch. As far as I’m concerned, that bloke should be banned from playing for the rest of his life, quite apart from any criminal liability.

I don't think there's any secret here, quite the opposite, everything is fairly obvious. Initially the team struggled because of changes in midfield. Then they started having major problems in defence, with a large number of injured players, which made things even more difficult for Real Madrid. There were also several experiments with managers that probably shouldn't have happened. Now Mourinho has arrived, strengthened the midfield and brought some order to the defence. That's why the team looks much better at the moment.

Diomande is overpriced as hell. What are you talking about? He was signed for 125 million. Total potential value of 140 million. How is that not overpriced? The fact that English teams spend that much on players doesn't mean they are not overpriced. Take Liverpool, for example; all their attackers are overpriced, the same way Diomande is overpriced.

As for disappointed, I can't say he has disappointed, because it's still too early, but so far, he has not played like a 140 million player. He is only playing because Vinicius is out of form. Previously, he was a bench player, and so far he has 4 goals and 4 assists. For any 100 million signing, these are not the kind of numbers you expect from a Madrid winger. He is a good dribbler, but I don't think there is much more to his game to make him worth 140 million.

I know Jesus Owono had no intention of killing anyone, but does it really make sense to leave the penalty area and make such a dangerous move? Besides, the match had already become heated before that incident, with a total of 11 yellow cards, which shows how many fouls had been committed. I believe this was simply an emotional reaction, but Owono failed to control his emotions. That kind of attitude has no place in professional football. He should have been an MMA fighter instead.

Madrid will never play in the first 11 just by looking at the names of Vinicius or Diomande. Vinicius is a good player but he has shown bad performance and bad behavior while on the field. Which never gives a professional player a meeting. A player's performance in football is not always the same. Performance can improve and deteriorate several times in a season. Vinicius has currently deteriorated in the same way. The coach could have kept Vini and played Diomande at any time if he wanted. Because Real Madrid bought both players by spending money. Keeping players in a team's branch means changing players at any time or in any danger according to the coach's strategy to maintain the team's performance. If you want to maintain the team's performance, you can't always give priority to famous players. So instead of discussing Vinicius or Diomande, the player who is really on form should be given a place in the starting 11. Of course, I think the coach is more experienced than us.

What's there to improve here. They won Barcelona that forming to be the toughest team this season in Laliga. If they can win that game, obviously they can win other teams and now there is nothing remain to restructure in that team. What they need now is to repeat what they have done since last 4 games, bench Vinicious and continue with the rest of the players and see if it will not work. Or perhaps if Vinicious will be cooperative with other players.

If that guy can calm his nerves and work very well with Mbape, they are going to have one of the best season like he did with Benzema, still one of the best season I must say. I don't know why he is not doing that now, he want to he an alpha on winger. I can't remember if there has ever been one in Real Madrid. The last one I witnessed is Messi and he is different, nobody can play wings like him.

The fact that they won that game is not automatic and it is a given that they win the others, each game has its own story.
So I wouldn't say that a match won gives the consistency and confidence to win all the subsequent ones, Real Madrid always has the usual problem, that if they can solve it, then it will be tough for all the opponents who meet them, but up until that point the performances are inconsistent.

For now, there is no clear drama in the dressing room because the match ban that Vini is currently serving is suppressing the problem that Mourinho needs to address. At the moment, no one is being benched.  And it seems like Jose Mourinho made a remark on how he needs Vini in the games but he was not to direct on whether he will bring him from the bench or not. Yan Diomande is on fire right now na dbenching a player in form is not going to go well with the fan.
Basically, we'll just have to wait and see, because it's true that if Mourinho benches Diomande and Real Madrid fails to achieve maximum results, Mourinho will certainly be affected. So, Mourinho is certainly currently devising a strategy to ensure everything runs smoothly. But yes, it does seem like Vini or Diomande will have to give in in a situation like this. Because basically, this is unavoidable, because basically, a team will only have one player on one side. So, with that, Vini or Diomande must truly accept that one of them will no longer be the main choice at Real Madrid. Because, in essence, a team doesn't look at how long a player has played with the team, but how well that player can play on the field. So, yes, this is clearly going to be a very interesting thing. I also can't wait to see how this problem continues.

I don’t think anybody is disputing the fact that Vini is still important to Madrid, atleast not me. But i don’t think that Vini being an established player in Real does not automatically guarantee him his place in the starting XI.
Diomande has certainly had opportunities in the absence of Vini and has shown that he can contribute well, that’s all, that point has been proven.
I believe competition for places is healthy, and the coach should pick players based on current performances, not just reputation alone and the fact that both of them have started together also shows that their positions aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive to each other.

Diomande has a lot of potential and yes, he scores beautiful goals, but I still think they really overpaid him based on what he did throughout his career. I was really surprised to see Real Madrid spending so much money for him.
Gordon is kind of weird signing, he is good but maybe Barcelona should have spent that money to reinforce their defense.
Diamonde isn't overpriced, not at all. A player needs some time to adapt to a new team and it seems he's adapted very well now and his contributions are very obvious. Most of the appearances you're mentioning he came in as a sub in 5 matches and sometimes he came in with 11 or less minutes to full time. He only started 8 matches and that was as a result of Vini red card. You should lay verdict on him after this season or at least at mid season, they guy is doing well, he can get better.

Quote
Vinicius Jnr would have a hard time benching him this time, he would need to do better with his performance and bring back the old Vini performance we all knew. He has being shit recently and I don't seem to kmow what the problem really is, Mourinho still believes in him though.
It depends on Mourinho's perking order. Diamonde is a flexible player as well, he can play from both wings, so he's not much of a competition for Vini's left wing, both players can be featured in match.

Madrid won their game in the laliga against Racing Santander and now in the UCL, they get to play a team who by their standards is a small team and that's AEK Athens in the earlier kickoff but their current form makes me believe they will struggle to put this to bed. At the moment, Diomande is deputizing the left wing in the absence of Vini jnr and I have to admit that the Ivorian is slowly getting his confidence and I feel that he'd become the real deal if he fully adapts. The chemistry that Mbappe and Vini jnr have formed is another factor to consider but Madrid would want to make sure they make use of Diomande, if anything, at least to recover the money they have spent.

Now Vini is still underperforming when compared to previous seasons so it should not be a problem if Vini is in reserve for a while and is used as an option for Yan Diomande's replacement even though he is a favorite of Madrid officials.
I agree; if Vini doesn't perform as Mourinho wants, he won't play him. At most, he'll bring him on in the second half, and even then, it won't be for long—it'll be 20 or 30 minutes maximum.

Now Mourinho has to do things very well. They're finally getting the team they should be, playing the way many want. So it's not so easy, because Mourinho has many talented players, and it's difficult because, despite everything, they have very high egos, and it's hard to deal with that. Although for Mourinho, that's no problem at all. This is what Real Madrid needed; that's why they brought him in, to lift this team.

Let’s stop painting this narrative as though he will know that the move he’s about taking will lead to the death of the attacker and still go on to doing it. Football is a physical game and we’ve seen worse off tackles that in most cases injures the goal keeper and the game still continues.

The deed has already been done and unfortunately, there’s no angle we will look at this case that will justify a player dieing on the field of play. Accident do happen and there’s no point painting a narrative that suggest that the goal keeper made that tackle will an ill intention.
