I downloaded Electrum to my laptop and used a receiving address to send bitcoin to my new Electrum wallet but after i sent the bitcoin the address disappeared. I scanned the (address) code from Electrum using my phone so i know it was the correct address.

Using the MPK I can see the transaction: xpub661MyMwAqRbcFnWVoFYjvRiFmgKQDW2sM8UqMhE6YZSRvK7xnufezH6mLtTckHjSV9qPEgb4bYR P8afrMXmiMF5hRUozZje3G56jcJUU6cb

I've tried restoring the wallet but that didn't make a difference.

As far as i know i did everything correctly...

What can i do?

Thanks

There is nothing you have to do. Electrum changes the receiving address every time you receive a payment to that address. It's a security enhancement. You should see your coins in the History tab. Select View -> Show Addresses to see a list of your addresses. It should be there. You can still reuse that address as many times as you want.

Remove your Master Public Key from the post for privacy reasons.

That's my point - the address is not in the list of show addresses. Many addresses are but not the one i used and my balance is 0.

There is nothing in the history tab.

I am using the latest version of Electrum

I have just checked it using the Blockchain Explorer and I managed to find only a BCH transaction. You should download Electron Cash since you are using Bitcoin Cash and not Bitcoin.

I am using the latest version of Electrum

Where exactly did you download the latest version of Electrum?

I tried to check your xpub from here https://blockpath.com/wallets/local/101?action=appxpub but the result "No Used Addresses Found Sad" it means no addresses are used yet(receive or sent) from your wallet.

If you download the Electrum wallet from another source, not from the original website you might be phish with fake Electrum wallet.

I am using the latest version of Electrum

the first thing you must check is the signature of the Electrum installed you downloaded and used to install this current version you have. https://bitzuma.com/posts/how-to-verify-an-electrum-download-on-windows/
if it doesn't verify then that is your problem, you had a malicious software that gave you a wrong address.

if it did, then tell us how you created the wallet? did you let Electrum generate the seed for you or is it an imported wallet using a master private key (starting with xprv) because there can be some path conflicts in this process.

Do what BitCryptex suggested.
You made a mistake thinking you have Bitcoins when in fact what you have is an Alt of Bitcoin called Bitcoin Cash. But your coins are not gone. You can recreate the wallet in the Electron Cash as suggested by BitCryptex by entering the corresponding private key in it.

BitCryptex is actually discovered what it was about, and this is classic confusion with fact that Bitcoin and BitcoinCash are not same coins, but unfortunately it is possible to send in this case BCH to BTC address. Solution is simple if users have control over his private keys / seed, just use forked Electrum Cash and get access to coins, in case this transaction is sent to some exchange to BTC address, it would be much harder or in some cases almost impossible to correct such mistake.
