Can someone explain what is happening with this wallet?

0x684016785227F26D1C0C30A09B0f07C0e07f27D5

Two days ago 66.25621328 ETH were transfered on this wallet from 0xbe5cb0080b5b37f6f957fbee54b77243bb10fa4e .

Two hours later it started senting in batches small amounts of ETH, from a few cents up to a dollar, to thousands of wallets.
I noticed when I received in my wallet a small amount too.
Anyone has a clue what is this about? 66ETH is not an amount that some airdrop or bounty will usually pay.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It might be a dust attack?

i don't know, but that could be just Airdrop because as far as I know there is Airdrop which offers rewards with a number of eth (for example: button wallet airdrop), it's just that I don't come from what project

You are right. It was from a project which I had applied for airdrop. Still this was a massive one.

it looks like the owner of such wallet is willing to distribute all of his ethereum to the massive address or is it related to the bounty address? i meant about the hot wallet of bounty. But it's very rare to find an airdrop which has distributed native coin like ethereum to the participants.

The wallet address might belong to a developer or a project teams who are paying participants in their very own tokens for airdrops or others like bounty hunters since the amount been sent out is not up to 2$ it sounds like transactions fee so that must be it,

It might be a bounty team sending some rewards for bounty participants; it also can be a dust attack or it can be a hacker that is just splitting his balance and aiming to store it in wallets for his sons, lol.
I think also that it can be related to a Dapp that could be used to send the split balance here, there and everywhere for unknown reasons or it might be an error with an ethereum wallet that led to sending this amount of cash to lots of members which is unlikely to happen.

This has happened to me too long before I picked interest in investing in Ethereum, when I started cryptocurrency investment, I never like Ethereum, and I did not invest in it but I was participating in campaigns and airdrops then, then I tried mining one coin like that with my PC, but the hashrate was too low which I stopped.

One day, I suddenly saw that Ethereum was transferred to my account, though it was little($15), and then I was surprised because I never made any investment in Ethereum, it was then I found out later that it came from one of the airdrops that I had participated in, I am sure that if you trace it well, you probably got it from one of the airdrop you participated in which decide to pay you in Ethereum, that is the only explanation that I could think of for this.
