One of the reasons that Bitcoin and Ethereum's prices are not growing is the so many ICO and IEO in the market,we all know that Bitcoin and Ethereum are two of the coins being used to purchase their coin, the developers of these ICO and IEO after getting funded are quick to sell their coin, pushing the price of the market to go down.

If there are no new ICO and IEO in the market I think the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum will stabilize and increase.

This may not be the reason for dumping because if we see the other side icos also create demand for btc and eth because everyone that will participate will have to buy and deposit btc and eth so that creates demand and i do not see serious projects sell all their btc and eth holdings quickly rather they exchange them as required.

If you compare good projects to scam projects, scam projects are outnumbering good projects and they always do exit scam after getting their fund, dumping their Eth and Bitcoin for Fiat.

But some of the projects and concepts are just copy of past and existing projects, just take a look at the recent ICO's that uses an exchange model as their projects, so many of these ICO's are having a hard time launching their exchange, because they do not have something new and unique to offer, so they can't generate enough support.

The average cryptocurrency investor can be expected to have highest amount of investment in Bitcoin/Ethereum. What comes after this is the diversification in his/her portfolio which is accounted by the plethora of altcoins which is almost always a risky step to take. Indeed new ICOs and IEOs attract investors on a big scale and surely the people investing in them do understand about the possible risks that come with it, and only then proceed.

In reality, ICO teams don't use to sell their ETH when the token sales are over. In fact, this is one of the reasons why some teams have abandoned or delayed the development of their projects since the value of the funds raised has dropped sharply because of the bear market.

I could agree with your statement if that situation can be applied for ethereum but it can't for bitcoin. You can take a look at the bitcoin price in the market right now and how it was growing even not so many people bought bitcoin to invest in ICO.
People consider bitcoin as store of value rather than a payment system to invest in IEO or ICO.
Bitcoin needs more adoption and so far bitcoin is not used in so many IEO or ICO and that means bitcoin has used another value like to be a store of value for anyone.

Yes, that may be true, but the average developer currently only cares about money. no development when they have finished ICO / IEO. so there will be no adoption we can expect.

Not really. The number of new ICO are lower than the in 2017 while Bitcoin and Ethereum were having a bull run. Though it can be argued that large number of ICOs was one of the reason for a long bear market, at the moment there are no effective data to show that the price of bitcoin and ethereum is being harmed by the ICOs and IEOs.

this year alone bitcoin has gone up 250% to 300% while ethereum continues dropping and it has lost half of its value this year.

I can understand what you're saying about the Ethereum. However, I do not think Bitcoin is very dependent on such issues. Bitcoin price is moving with supply-demand. However, Bitcoin may have an impact on the state of IEOs.

Yes, it may be stable, but it is difficult to grow, especially ethereum. because ethereum is a smartcontrac platform. without a new project no tokens will be made, then the Platfrom ethereum become less important.

I think ICO/IEO is good for the crypto market because they offer solutions to every problem that exists for the mainstream industry. the problem is that there are too many poor quality projects and some are scams. this is actually what makes the development of the crypto market a little hampered.

I don’t really think so🤔okay you said that Ethereum and Bitcoin are the two main coins that are being used to fund these ICOs and IEO. So what about other altcoins, why are they not growing in price? Since ETH and BTC are the two major things that are being used in funding, other altcoins should be growing in price.

Well I can’t really tell though , but people like to tag whatever they feel like as the reason for the price of cryptocurrencies to be falling. No need for all these, let’s just assume that there isn’t much buying… cause we have all learnt that price tends to increase when there are more buyers than sellers, and when sellers gets more than buyers, then the price starts to fall.

Yup you’re right, but when the startups are just bad projects mostly then a lot of people be forced to quit and look for something else. Let’s assume that there are lots of bad apps on Android playstore, while apple is offering good apps, a lot of people would prefer to make use f Apple than android. That’s the same thing with this crypto market. If there are lots of bad projects , a lot of people would start to think that crypto is a place of scammers and nothing good is coming from it and that will discourage them from investing in it.

yes it is true, because the ICO and IEO programs have often emerged launching new coins where the coins will continue to push the price of old coins. and this has a bad effect on old coins, only if the new coins make a mistake and are lost because they do not have the function they will disappear in the market. This gives a breath of fresh air for old coins and slightly increases the price of old coins normally. but I think for BTC and ETH it will be very difficult to be pursued by new coins.

If most of the money this year came through organisation/institutions and a larger percentage of the money is now in bitcoin, we might need another dimension in the market in coming months. I believe something is been prepared to bring more money to the space cause if the market stays the same into the hardfork we may not see something remarkable. There are always new ICOs, IEOs, but over time, it turns out to become more difficult for new ICOs, and IEOs successfully raise funds they plan. The fact is, investors, from their past investments and their losses, actually become more careful with their investment decisions. They don't naively believe in investment advice from their friends, group leaders, etc. They changed themselves, and spend more time to read, learn, and investigate projects that they have interests and consider to invest.
Therefore, scam ICOs, IEOs mostly failed, but I don't think that they are reasons as you mentioned.
Personally, I saw growths of Bitcoin and Ethereum, in their liquidities.
