Obviously, the site's service was already down and the site is already for sale.

When you setup your account wallet from them? And are you sure that is the correct website?

The site is correct. I have a one-year-old email from them with this address.

OP is probably correct. crypto-markets.com was an "exchange" many years ago (in quotation marks because they were probably a scam from the outset). You can see a very sketchy looking announcement post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524348.0. There's a snapshot of the website circa 2014 here: https://archive.is/zKwnW. The website URL has been up for sale by GoDaddy for several years now.

OP, unless the wallet you set up generated a recovery phrase of 12 or 24 words for you (highly unlikely) which you then wrote down somewhere, then I'm afraid your coins are lost. This is the risk you take allowing someone else to take custody of your coins on your behalf.

Okay, so do you still have funds on that wallet? If yes, you can't get them back since the site was down and seems there's no available record of the site in any web archives for past views.

So that was an exchange, never heard of it.

Disclaimer: "This is not investment advice, I am not a legal representative or financial adviser and for the record, I'm here just to post my opinion. For such advice, please consult with you're local professional"

It would seem that you may have been scammed. I can't find the website anywhere. I figured that perhaps it might have moved domains but alas, my search has come up cold. You may have been a victim of an exit scam.
The only thing that you can logical do for now is to swallow you're pride and take the loss. It happens to the best of us. I too have been scammed in one way or the other when dealing with crypto-currencies. You have no choice but to suck it up, lift you're head up and charge it to the game.
The next step is to take preventive measures so the same mistake doesn't happen twice. For a few words of wisdom, "Fool me once, shame on you! If you fool me twice, shame on me!" Take pre-caution next time when choosing where to store you're digital assets. The best way to stop these atrocities is by preventing them from happening further. Only store you're money in places where you have access to you're private keys. Even then, make sure no one else has access to them but you my friend.

Conclusion: Pick you're head up and move along, do some more research on the site where you stored you're funds in order to educate you're self so it does't happen again. Then you will be able to recognize potential pitfalls in the future! Amen brother/sister/etc!

Hey, in this vast ecosystem of opportunity that we call "crypto-currencies", being that this is a relatively new field within the financial sector, there are bound to be just as many scams as there are legitimate dealings.
Practice you're "DUE DILIGENCE" and make you're self aware of any potential flim-flams (scams).  Tongue

Think positive, you already started to deal with cryptocurrencies (at least bitcoin) so you're usually one of the 5% of the people in your country who at least have a clue about this subject...
So if you just move on and continue to deal with bitcoin, you'll learn more and you will be able to make money in the and with your knowledge.
This needs time and effort, but 'no pain, no gain' Smiley
So take this as a lesson you've already learnt and move on, do your own research every time when you deal with your money

There is a list of wallets that you can use to save your bitcoin you can find them from here https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

The best and safest bitcoin wallet is hardware wallet like ledger nano S good for holding large amount but if you are looking for a simple wallet you can use electrum or wasabi wallet as an alternative to the hardware wallet.

From an archived version of the site you once had funds in, it looks like it was a poorly made exchange that went exit scam when they acquired enough user funds to run away with.

Good job on staying positive with this though, but I'm quite interested how you came across the exchange. It doesn't look like it was very big back in the day, so how did you find the exchange and choose to deposit funds into it?

Also, to make sure you keep your BTC safe, I'll recommend using a hardware wallet (trezor, ledger) or a wallet that gives you a seed or private key (electrum, mycelium, samurai).

Great. Next time you're going to buy it, make sure you know how to secure your funds first, because leaving funds on exchanges is almost never a good idea.

The site domain is already for sale.I presume that this might be an exchange wallet. So definitely your funds is completely lost.
Links given for good wallets instead.Never ever leave out your money on exchange. No keys = No coins.

I'm sure OP doesn't have much funds left on that site or maybe out of studying what's crypto is all about, he might just test how to make a wallet (that is not supposed to be a "Wallet"). He is not worried at all and that's good.

However, I don't know how OP ended up on that site. Good thing, the post wasn't a form of shilling the site since it was now inactive.

If you are not that comfortable using wallets that hold your private key which is the recommended ones, then I suggest choosing an exchange that quite built a good reputation in the crypto industry.
