Looking for bankroll plus open source soft provider.

I do not think there is any perfect replacement of moneypot yet. There are few apps which are made to act as alternative to money pot, but none of them offer the same services which moneypot provided.

Yeah. Moneypot was in a place of its own. Global bankroll, wallet integration across all apps. I thought it was a beauty in its time, still think it is today. But it never recovered and investor confidence also deserted it and its apps. That was a big shame, I suppose, the timing with the great crypto winter.

I'm sure it's a matter of time before a replacement comes along.

I don't think there will be a replacement soon. A lot of places are now allowing "investment" into their casinos. Don't really know if I trust them. But it pulls some money out of what would go into MP 2.0

The issue replacing MP is that it didn't work out. So MP 2.0 would have to address those issues, and some others before people put in enough money to make it work.

*Full disclosure I lost some money but not enough to matter, I would be back but would have to think longer about it.

I wish they never Release V2. Was a big fan from old version, yes i lost 25+ coins there but the fact everyone could creat there own App with a bit work on the untitled dice Script that was released from RH. On the end from v1 there was a few very nice unique apps based on the ut script like Monster war (Cant remember the name)
Sure there was a few mistakes done that broke the neck of the old owner.

Wish i could get my hands on v1 for a good price with a few other from the old family like @jackpotracer, @yahoo and a few other maybe also with the help from RH to bring this great projekt!

I actually think it's a good idea, with a lot of potential. I, however don't want to be involved -- but purely because I don't really want any legal liability being involved in gambling anymore. I however can put you in touch with a developer who did a lot of work on v1, and is pretty familiar with the codebase (he did the untitled dice stuff, the plinko, and sockepot).

If you are serious, I'd suggest contacting support@moneypot.com for the exclusive rights on v1 source code and I'll checkin with the old dev to see if he's available. And then you could just relaunch it on a new domain  Grin

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Could somebody explain exactly what Moneypot is? Is it a tool that allows you to spread your investment across multiple site bankrolls to minimize risk? Or what?

I would definitely be interested in such a tool, or something similar. Post it here and you'll get merit if I see it.

Are you joking mate? As far as I can read through your post history, you have been involved in many topics related to moneypot discussion and now you ask the basic thing of moneypot? A bit confusing whether you are asking it for a joke or you are asking it seriously like you have never knew about moneypot before.

Really missed the great moneypot applications by those name you mention, dustlottery, bubblesbit, betterbets and some other apps. I believe moneypot is still alive and operating good if Rhavar is the one who handle it.

The original moneypot was basically a "casino as a service".  The old homepage did a good (imo) job of explaining it:

https://web.archive.org/web/20151127194540/http://moneypot.com/

It was a pretty cool project, made a decent amount of money and had a ton of potential. I just couldn't handle the responsibility of it, and bustabit at the same time -- so decided to sell it. After that it was pretty badly mismanaged on multiple fronts. Some were pretty wtf, like increasing the perfectly configured risk (max of the optimal kelly) to a max of 3.33x that. Even when i provided them simulations that showed an angry whale would guarantee in expected negative bankroll growth and bust the bank, they ignored me. (And no prizes for guessing what came next).

There's definitely a few things I'd do differently if I did it again, but I think it was fundamentally a good idea that someone (who is not me) should revive   Grin

I have that question too.
I never heard of it before, although I am not a hardcore gambler or even know what bankroll is, however, if someone provides me a decent explanation, I'd definitely merit them as well.

I see JackpotRacer has a good history on the subject, found this through google. I will dig up the info. If anyone wants to create a compact version to read, feel free.

I opened long ago scam accusations as Investor ( I lost ) and RBIES holder

RBIES link

Investor scam accusation
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2176574.msg21829632#msg21829632

sadly Investors and RBIES owners dont get together to try to push MP owners to pay or close down.

RHavar posted this not long ago
edit
in the new moneypot thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2345394.msg23891888#msg23891888

And you will not provide a short grace period for current ruby holders to sell at your earlier promised price floor?

I don't really understand how you could make a promise to hold a price floor (and literally even quote the dictionary definition of "always"). As you know, people made investing and arbitrage decisions based on your price-floor promise  and you're now pulling the rug from everyone. I'm struggling to come up with a more charitable interpretation then you're effectively scamming all ruby holders.

And if you are indeed solvent, than I think you would do yourselves a huge favor by demonstrating this (either publicly, or to a trusted person like dooglus) of proof of assets and quantifying your liabilities (which include promises made liked fixed investing returns and compensation promise made last year to investors ). If you are not solvent, you should be looking to return as much money as possible to your creditors. Or at the very least, issue a debt-based token like bitfinex did

he is spot on and said what I was saying for a long time just in better english. I was the only one who gave them red trust for not holding their promises

IMO it is time that Investors and RBIES owners get together and shout out

To answer the question fast and easy what moneypot was.

Moneypot itself was your Pocket where you depo and withdraw your coins.
After your coins were sitting there you can go to a „app“ that was connected to moneypot and play.
You can say you want 0.1 from your 1btc you depo to play with it there but you don’t have to wait for depo it was instand there. After you play a bit on the „App“ and reach 0.2 you can easily send it back to moneypot and have now finally 1.1 btc sitting there.

I will give another example. Lets say there is a bankrollpage you send your coins to play with.
Now you say you want to make a few bets on stake. You go to stake and can say depo coins from my bankrollpage without fee or waitingtime. After you make a few bets but you now want to play on Crypto-Games you send your coins from stake to your bankrollpage without waitingtime and no fee and than send it to crypto-games without fee and any waitingtime. Moneypot was the bankrollpage at this moment.

I hope i give you a small explain what moneypot was

I think monsterbyte will build something on moneypot after the closure since the project is really too good to close
but if somehow  B can really take charge of V1 that would be good as well , the general idea of moneypot is insanely good but too bad that it wasn't managed right

I'm confident that monsterbyte can build something similar to it as well since they acquired it and didn't benefit from it at all , anyways in the next 2 months or so we should all have more info

I think it doesn't have that much competition and when they are gone it left a big whole because the same reason why they went under is the same reason why they have no alternative as well. They are a small time company that tried to help everyone out with giving a common bankroll and than allowed casinos to be built around that bankroll.

Now, casinos do not really love that idea because if you are a decent casino than you can bankroll yourself and since you have house edge you will end up earning more and more money. However if you are not rich and want to build a casino around moneypot than you are not going to make a great casino anyway and only ones that use stuff like moneypot is usually the cheap bad casinos that is why moneypot didn't survive and this is the reason, there is no alternative.

I liked your statement about the "decent casino".  I hope that in this way there will be good competition in the gambling market and really worthy and demanded resources will remain.  It seems that a lot of gambling sites were created just to make money, and not to share their profits with users.

That is a good effort but the way you laid out everything makes it hard to follow.
I too am looking for a proper explanation of what Moneypot was and more importantly, what bankroll in terms of gambling sites is and how are people making money from it.

I always had the capacity to invest in gambling but I fear I would lose more than I'd ever make. And I never found a proper mentor to guide me.

you shouldnt stop yourself from gambling if you really have the urge to gamble because that will only give you a guilt feeling or regret but instead play gambling with limits or play only with the amount that you can afford so that you wont loose more than what you could make  .  if you need a mentor you can ask here on the forum , there are many good and veteran gamblers here but its better if you can learn to go on your own  .
