Everyone is recommended to choose and invest only in top coins, I personally like the options to invest in BTC, LTC, BNB and ETH

Investing in the large cap coins thus the top coins on the market is good especially for new investors who may not have adequate expertise to do researches on new projects or coins on the market. Diversifying ones portfolio with also multiple altcoins is good because at least a number of them will yield profit.

This is a good advise especially if we like to hold for long term and we have a good amount of capital to invest.
When we are investing in different altcoins that will minimize the risk if the market is only stable, however it is not applicable all the time, a good example is what has happened last year and what is happening now where altcoins are still not performing well based on our expectation.

There's a lot of good coins in the market actually especially in the altcoins side if we know how to choose.
It will not guarantee us success but if we make an effort to a research, our chances of success will be higher, and who knows, we make a fortune in altcoins.

But extending your assets sometimes isn't really good. It can also cause you a bad habit of investing to different and unnecessary altcoins. Getting the right coins would be ideal.
Get the quality ones and don't focus yourself with the numbers. Having few with quality can still dominant the large numbers of altcoins.

In my opinion you should invest in the top 10 coins in the market today.

These currencies have a large community and potential in the future.

All I can tell you is that most of those coins that you listed there have real use case and they are coins that will last in the market which should be the vital characteristics of a coin.  With those coins, I am sure that in future without bull run, you should at least be able to make x20 profit them.

When the altcoin season starts and most of them goes on bull run, I am of the believe that some of them may even give up to 50x, which will be a good turn over for such little amount of money, and it is a good thing that some of them actually are with the top rated coin, so I think that you have not make any wrong decision, there is no coin that would have been better than the coin you listed. The only one advise I would just give is that you can try to limit the number to few first rather than slitting the money amongst plenty of these coins.

Maybe he can use 50% for btc, and the rest of 50% will be in an altcoin. I think that will be enough for him to make a profit from bitcoin first and then from altcoin. But if he wants to buy altcoin, make sure he knows which coins that can be potential in the future and don't use all money to buy in one altcoin only because that will be too risky to him. Besides that, with diversifying into many altcoins, that will help him to make a profit too besides of bitcoin.

Just choose with the top 50-100 coins list to choose the right coins so then he can start to analyze each coin to find the coins.

You did the right thing that you invested most of your money precisely in Bitcoin, because only Bitcoin has shown the best results all year in a row and has consistently brought income to all investors. Ok guys so I have 500 CAD left to invest in altcoins, I decided to invest 3000 CAD in bitcoin and leave it like that. So for that 500 CAD (377 USD), please tell me if this makes sense. (I want to own a broad portfolio of multiple coins that have good odds for the future). All amounts are in USD for a total of $370. I'm open to suggestions.

Well, diversifying investment is a very good thing when it helps us increase the chances of winning, reduce risks and improve trading skills, however, one suggestion is that everyone should set things up in an area we can control, that means we can manage, stop loss and solve situations in time when the accident occurs. So much diversity will confuse us when surprises come, let's find a suitable altcoin number for us, do not be greedy and take advantage of the value of bitcoin in the market to make a profit, don't put too much capital there, switch to usdt is a good choice when the price has been pumped up

Yeah, maybe the OP does. I just usually use my own hardware wallet to check all of my coins, but it doesn't show if I'm at a loss, I just need to see the $ myself. Any good portfolio management app?

I think you just need to separate into 3 coins each get $123. And if I can give you suggest to choose, i think doge, etc, and ltc have good potential to grow up by the price. Looking to the current price, that 3 coins in the bottom position. So, you can make profit just by waiting they are get reversal. Last, just take proportional target and don't ever forget if they can be higher than your sell target.
