Dude,  understand at first what's the OP is saying.
The OP wants suggestions that should he buy eth or not as eth is now comparatively lower at price.
And it has been often seen when suddenly the price of a particular coin falls, the chances become more that the price will grow.
So i would suggest if he has the capability of bearing losses and taking enough profitable risk, then he should buy it.

ETH is currently very low with intention to stay so for a while. Otherwise to my opinion is the only coin beside Bitcoin that is worth investing.
On long term it might get profitable again so you can invest some smaller amount into ETH but definetely don't switch Bitcoin for ETH, that would be bad decision.

I am not sure about the advice you gave, because I think BTT is less suitable when compared to ETH, ETH is very low in my opinion is a great potential and opportunity.

But, I think that should have even been the motivating factor for people to really buy the Ethereum because it is low in price and if you really want to trade well, the best way to trade is to look for the opportunity to buy low and then sell high, it is because people wants every fast money that they don’t want to buy now, but they need to understand that some of these top solid coins like Ethereum are very good to be used as a long term investment coin, because the moment the high momentum of those coins comes, they will really surge more than what the investor expect them to get to and that is the thing about all these projects like Ethereum that has real use case  in the market, so it’s actually the best time for them to buy now.

I know that it may not happen but as long as there are a lot of cryptocurrencies under its platform, I don't think ETH will die that easily. Altcoins are continuing to be traded with it, it is a proof that it is still there.

It will be odd to change Bitcoin for Ethereum. BTC is the leader, and even when Ethereum decides to go up due to the coming events on its platform, Bitcoin will still affect it and its price. The best choice is to hold both BTC and Ether, and as I guess the proportion can be about 60%-40% where 40% will be not only ETH tokens but other altcoins also. nevertheless, I think the №2 crypto is going up soon.

I agree, this option makes sense, but I think that you can take a chance and change part of your BTC assets to ETH, but I do not exclude the possibility that the price of ETH may unexpectedly go down and cause losses. Bitcoin is a very long term store of value and most of the market moves whenever Bitcoin makes a move, that is up or down. I think though Ethereum in the smart contract and dapp world is here to stay and has a slightly different function to Bitcoin and all the ERC20 tokenized projects are kind of index-linked to ETHEREUM. I personally wouldn't trade all my Bitcoin for Ethereum if I had it but I would certainly hold a bag if I could well afford it. At the moment I would try to trade if I could learn well enough and build up the Ethereum by trading it. I am trying to do that with one small coin but the volume is very low, although the spread is good. It would be good before the next bull run to have a basket of cryptos and a good-sized bag of Bitcoin with Ethereum coming second.

Sometimes positive news doesn't change prices so significantly, like bitcoin market when it was bearish yesterday, where some good bitcoin news isn't able to make bitcoin pump. Usually coins will pump when fundamentals (news) & technical (TA) are in harmony with traders' sentiment. Well, it might be good if some members here have an opinion that Ethereum will go up, but don't exchange all your btc into eth.

sorry but your thread title seem to be misleading to me  . the title says change btc to eth , so i was expecting that you are going to convert your btc to eth but that i was wrong because after i have checked the thread i see that your mainly talking about eth and you wanted to buy an eth just because its value are low  .  the position or rank of eth isnt actually low but its price have decrease somehow  so yeah you can buy it but you shouldnt sell or convert your btc for eth  because that is not a good idea imho  .
