One can take the risk since the price is very low. ETH has this history of bouncing back from 0.026 to 0.086+

That time I had some ETH which bought at the rate of 0.086BTC. I know how hard the time was when I was seeing ~0.026 BTC ETH price. I held and held until it reached to 0.086BTC. I sold all of them just to get my BTC back lol

Buying cryptocurrencies at the low price is good idea but ethereum looks not developing in terms of value for very long period while other coin especially Bitcoin doing good so converting your Bitcoin to buy low performing coin is really bad idea if you have y money to invest on the cryptocurrencies then buy ethereum now just keep your Bitcoin as it is.

And I would rather hold Bitcoin. It's an obvious truth that if Bitcoin goes up ETH could but if Bitcoin goes down ETH will go down for sure and it will suffer a much greater hit.

 I'm always for holding Bitcoin than altcoins if you have to choose and don't want to hold both. I have ETH and BTC but wouldn't sell BTC for ETH.

I think still good. Because usually ETH price follow bitcoin when it's get pumped. If me i still hold some and when price down like this, as trader usually they can take advantage maybe buy some and prepare for  back up. Maybe it is commond and already said by a lot of people. But that is still considered as strategy. And at least still better than not do anything except panic and make bad decision.

you and many others like you have been saying this for the past 2 years each time ETH price drops another 10% to 15% and so far each time you say it the price falls another 10% to 15% right afterwards, the result is a total of about 90% dump which is not even slowing down.

the problem is, ETH has an unlimited supply with no demand ever since the ICO hype died and other platforms starter replacing ethereum platform!

If we look from a holders perspective both BTC and ETH are good to hold in a long term perspective. But, for short span I do not think it is a right time to convert BTC holdings to ETH.

ETH is somewhat to say that it becomes the underdog at this time and have to see that the price isn't really entertaining and looks attractive. I don't how it becomes a foolish thing to do if we convert BTC to ETH, it is a big risk into our side. Will never know what ETH can do in the next days, besides having BTC there is a guarantee that we can make gains as it surely bouncing back which we couldn't find it with Ethereum at this time.

Ethereum has no market of its own and most times it follow more than any other coins. The idea to buy ethereum right now is good but that only if you have more money to spend. You can buy both bitcoin and ethereum now as the price is not too high depends on a few months ago. Ethereum itself now is drop too deep, and if you can spare more money, I think you can get more ethereum. But perhaps, you might consider buying bitcoin only because bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency that will increase so high in the future. Although ethereum have a chance to grow, we don't know when it can increase so I think it is better to stick with bitcoin and buy more bitcoin.

If you have skills, I think you can go to choose bitcoin first and make a trade bitcoin pair usdt, and if you can get a profit, then you can use the profit to buy ethereum. That will be good so you can have bitcoin and you also have ethereum, but that will be up to you.

Buying in the dip for me is really not advisable, why? Because if for example if the 'extremely low position' you mean is around the support area of Ethereum, then what if we will still continue to the super extremely low position? Well, every trader has a different technique or way on how they trade, but that is just my 2 cents.
Just be careful now, Bitcoin dominance is starting again to rise, this could be a disaster for altcoins if it will continue to soar up, that's why I am still all in on Bitcoin now.

Don't get me wrong, I love and believe in ETH. It's true that ETH is only 15% of what is was at its all time high and BTC is roughly at 50% of its all time high. However, you can also make the argument that ETH was overvalued because of ICOs in the first place, so the current price is fitting.

If you don't think it's a good idea right now, better hold both eth and bitcoin instead of dumping because of panic. Sometimes taking rish and quicker decisions isn't good enough as a solution, but rather a headache in a long run. Because of regrets, we tend to act emotionally.

Emotion is really a big factor that do affects our trading or investment.Sometimes we do base out on our decision thru intuition or on point doubts.
Its true that rather than on choosing among the two then why not to choose both for having no headache at all.Going all in on one side doesn't give out confidence but rather a stressful thing to mind of but somehow among the two BTC is been mostly supported so theres no doubt about it when it comes to future or longer runs but to divide out the risk then ETH isn't a bad choice either.You do have the full control of your funds and its up to you on how you would manage it.
