Buy bitcoin for all the money and wait for good entry points to altcoins. Perhaps they will fall even more, until they start to grow.
That's when they begin to grow in mass - you can buy them for a part of the funds.

To be on the safe side, this suggestion is cool but going in bitcoin with all the funds to me isn't the best investment strategy. 60% BTC 30% ETH then 10% for another altcoin say BCH or XLM (my best picks). ETH still has good news with its development, so we all can expect an uptrend (although nothing is certain).

Nothing is certain and it needs to be done correctly when picking good project to invest your money. If you can hold and wait it's really  best to
place your money to bitcoin. If you can split, 80% for bitcoin and the remaining 20% is for the alt that you believe to have a good potential to
increase, majority should be place for bitcoin and wait for another 1-2 years. Don't rush and try to find comfort while patiently waiting.

You are newbie in crypto , I think you learn bitcoin for first and than you try trading your money for BTC.
After this session you can try trading another coin or token ( altcoin )

but I think the current price of bitcoin is high enough and maybe if a beginner doesn't have a lot of funds it is better to buy altcoin which has a low price but with a good enough volume to trade. because if I think bitcoin is more suitable for long-term investment and daily trading with potential altcoin

If he will do short term investing then it is really high enough, but his intention is to do long term trading then it still good enough to entry now, we cannot force him to buy not but at least will give him idea. Investing now is still a good way for me, as we haven't seen yet the new all time high

I personally like to buy some bitcoin and in case of my interest for more than one coin I would like to invest some part of my money in ETH as both of them are good coins to invest our money.

If I were you, I invest it on bitcoin because there are a lot of coin now that are not good for investing. Sometimes waiting it for pumping can cause for dump too much. It was hard to invest that's why I don't want to try.

You can half your money for investment at least you have a half when you lose another half.

500$ is enough for daytrading ang take quick profits. Maybe you can earn like 20$ daily if you know what to do. Looking for other people analysis and copy their portofolio is actually good enough if you're confused enough to choose what coins to invest. But make sure you always set a stop loss every time you make a trade. And don't be greedy for daytrade, 3% profits is more than enough rather than you hold longer and then you missed your profits

try to split your investment into some altcoins to minimize your loss if your investment goes fail, don't just invest all of your money in one or two altcoins. before you decide to invest in altcoins, you should do your own research about that coin, analyze it and learn from previous mistakes.

People will suggest to where they were belong to campaign. You can save 500 USD for Binance IEO or new coin. As your experience, you should take risk 500 USD, invest all money in new technology. From Running and upcoming almost all IEO which projects has strong community.

why don't you just buy etherum? or doge? or both?
if you buy bitcoin, it hasn't reached the amount of 1 bitcoin. yes, even though the estimated profit does not count whether it has reached 1 or not, but I think it would be more effective if you just buy altcoin with a large amount. because it is the market movement that determines your profit, not the most expensive coin at the moment or when you buy and expect even higher increases.
