For me, it depends on the long term investment that you are saying if that long term will last up to a year. It's a considerable risk and calculation. My long term investment is almost 6 -8 months only because it's tough to predict if the price will increase in my favor/prediction. Also, I follow my calculation, If you are planning to buy at 7k - 8k rate, set a range when will you sell your crypto, because if you hold it in a very long time, you are making a huge risk, but still its depends on you and your calculations.
