The NRA IS a terrorist organization. But not for the reasons SF thinks. Rather, the NRA should have gotten into the governments of all the States long ago, and forced all adult people to bear arms whenever they were in public. Because they didn't, they are terrorists for not forcing the public to protect themselves.

I mean, all the States require drivers licences (although if you do it right, you can drive in any State without a drivers license), so why not with guns? If all adults went open-carry armed, most mass shooters would be too scared to do anything at all. But if they did their mass shooting anyway, they would be dead from the general adult populace protecting themselves with the guns they were lawfully required to carry.

There probably is a real danger of some violent clashes in the near future, and it probably is true that the political left tends to be more violent.  It just tends to go that way in organized destabilization efforts, and it makes sense because one pole is easier to 'radicalize' as well as being more physically fit and more mentally immature by virtue of the age difference.

Once we point to the people in each party, or each side as an ideology, as being the entire party (or ideology) then we've succumbed to the hyperpartianship that we live in today. So NRA is just a political movement using fear to pursue their ideological and political goals. Just like most political organization if you think about it, most of the time politicians use fear and threats rather than logic and facts
