Samsung Launching a Galaxy Note 10 Crypto-Phone Edition: Sources


The companies declined to comment on the release. As Cointelegraph reported, Samsung has already released a blockchain-enabled smartphone, beginning in March with the Galaxy S10.

Other operators have done likewise, with another new offering announced just days ago. Whole Network, a startup backed by cryptocurrency exchange Huobi, will formally unveil its $500 Acute Angle next week.

“As the industry develops and as innovations like 5G become increasingly integrated into our telecommunications systems, we believe more and more crypto communities will want to trade and transact from mobile devices,” Huobi Global CEO, Livio Weng, commented.

It looks like samsung is the only mobile tech company who are using offensive strategy to catch the demand from the crypto users.
If that will be a crypto phone edition and will all of the features related to the crypto?
glad to see that more exchange site has been created a cooperation with big company to create a good devide to be able bought by the traders.
but 5g doesn't mean a lot to deal with the transaction because it's working only to broadcase the tx to the network which doesn't need a lot of bandwith.

I will wait further more for this one, S10 was a big hit in the community and its a good marketing for samsung in having that.
But i dont see good things before as it is just  normal and S10 was not ready for crypto.
Now they are offering Note 10. i will just wait until the full technology will take place.

For Samsung to have succeeded in doing that, it will a motivation to other companies that are still doubting the potency of cryptocurrency. samsung galaxy note 10 price is $949. if you plan to have on might just but this samsung galaxy note 10 after all only few hundreds are the price difference to Acute Angle. i'm not really sure how a phone like this would be helpful since the adoption isn't very visible anywhere. i don't even see any merchants accepting btc in the surrounding cities where i am. for now the samsung phone i have works good because i still can install apps for any purpose.

Very soon, they will start having competitors too, I am sure that majority of the mobile companies too would want to follow their step because of the stiff competition among them. I have actually ot seen the effect of the implementation of cryptocurrency on their phones as a push for people to start buying the phone, like in my country, the problem of some of these phones is because of their prices, they just place unnecessary price on it because they know that we have very gullible people that would buy it.

I am sure that with that little blockchain technology now, they would have already added the money to it and people will buy it for that. There are more things that really need the blockchain technology than samsumg or all the mobile telecommunication companies.

Only phone that I would buy is https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/   It is build from scratch all open source and you not need to trust any hardware or software manufacturer.  It is coming out any week now.  And I know was plans to have Monero wallet installed, not sure how will that be at the end.

Yes that is great, I really got to know about Whole Network crypto phone today and it is really a good step towards the right direction. With these crypto platforms as well as Samsung taking such steps it will succeed in exposing the affairs of blockchain and cryptocurrency to the world. In fact one can't be mistaken for saying that blockchain adoption is really sooner than later, because no platform want to miss out on the long run.

It should be helpful even it has not very significant impacts. At least, people know that Samsung company supports crypto business and they begin to provide a feature making crypto users easier to work. But as I have stated above, maybe just a few people can own it. However, we don't underestimate it, it is still a beginning for the more supports planned by Samsung to crypto users.

Is it true that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Crypto phone Edition has a 6.8 inch screen.  For me the screen for Smartphone that we will use for the Cryptocurrency 6.8 activity is very proportional, not too small and not too big. I think this is great news for the whole market. Especially for the altcoin market. I think this can make altcoins more popular and more people will begin to trust cryptocurrencies.

The Huobi Global Ceo is correct. More mobile transactions will be adopted in the future and the growth of cryptocurrency is inevitable.
More ventures and top tier companies will be looking to invest into the blockchain technology and would also consider adopting cryptocurrency(most top coins - bitcoin,eth, etc.).

As much as I'm positive that this could bring crypto closer to the masses as Samsung garnered the mobile phone industry with Iphone lagging behind I see some drawbacks here:

(1) Your Samsung phone is going to be connected to the internet most of the time, although it has security features, we all know that hackers and cyber criminals are always one step ahead of this game. So there could be vulnerabilities or security loopholes here.

(2) Pretty damn expensive, why not buy a cheap hardware wallet?

(3) Security hole opens a billion Android users to advanced SMS phishing attacks.

Am so happy the crypto space is gaining massive attention with each passing day, with Samsung being on the forefront of this in the world of smart phones will keep them at a competitive advantage which in turn will make other smart phone giants to wake up. On the other hand, with Whole Network bringing theirs will also set into motion Cryptocurrency or blockchain smart phones. I think sooner than later we will start seeing massive incorporation of blockchain into existing systems or platforms because it is evident that blockchain offers something unique and has come to stay.

a good step from Samsung because other vendors haven't thought too much about the potential of crypto in the future and it's also very reasonable because South Korea is now being aggressively driving the blockchain industry, I hope sales of this smartphone will be successful.
