Good day guys!

I was searching how to earn bitcoins in telegram chat and someone PM'ed me... 'why not join gambling site?' I asked him what site that he/she talking about, he replied stake.com and visited it, but my question is this... is it really legit? I mean, if i win the minimum can i really withdraw? I want to ask here so that i won't waste time (like those earning via captcha solving) since this forum is all about bitcoin. And is there an alternative than stake.com?

P.S. I'm 52 years old and new to crypto things.

Why do you talk with with random strangers and reply PM in Telegram.
It is very dangerous place full of scammers.

There are many alternative platforms you can search in Gambling section,
but be prepare to lose all, as it is risky.

That "earning through capcha" sounds like a faucet to me.

As far as I remember, Stake does have a built-in faucet with 100satoshi/claim if your account have 0 balance.
I don't know if you can claim more if you deposited to the site like other gambling sites did...
But the whole feature of the site is not that faucet.

Otherwise, stake is a legit gambling site; just make sure that you've visited the real URL (fake URLs through PM is a common scam).
Here's the official thread: link.

Stake.com is legit in the sense that they operate in good faith, which means you'll lose all your money anyway using their site, since they have a huge house edge.
Don't gamble on any casino is the most "legit" thing you can do.

And as nc50 said, i'm not aware of Stake.com having a faucet where you get x satoshi an hour, but if they do, don't bother with it. It's an absolute waste of time to fill in captcha's.
Any minimum wage job would pay better. (And probably would allow you to develop some skillset much quicker.)

I'd also advise you to steer away from these telegram bots & spam groups. As far as i'm aware they're all garbage.

@LouLucas, be careful, to trust someone to talk through social media in general, and invite you to play gambling, games, transfer money or Bitcoin etc. With a site that you don't understand yet.

Gambling games are not just stake.com sites that exist, if you are uncomfortable and doubtful. High risk.
There are still many other official sites for you, which can be chosen in gambling games or games.

Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0

Warning:
Learn, be careful, understand the rules, recognize the gambling website / game that you like, do not be careless in making decisions while playing gambling.

Simple true is, that user that Pmed you is either trying to scammed /hack you, or probably waste your time by redirecting you to a wrong stake website. Beside faucet nowadays aren't something any reasonable individual having your best interest at heart would advice you to engage in. Best way to earn from gambling sites is by investing your personally funds although you can take advantage of the giveways carried out by different gambling spookbooks on the forum to raise some few bucks to gamble with.

I was searching how to earn bitcoins

If you were on the breadline and had two dollars left to feed yourself for a week, would you attempt to 'earn' more by going into a casino and betting that money?

How in the name of fuck did this disconnect happen in cryptoland and how has it stuck around? Why is gambling still fooling people into believing it's a way of making money? It's a way for casinos to make money. By taking your money.

First of all, you should not listen to the people PM on telegram as most of them have the intent to get money for you and scam you.

The site which he mentioned stake.com , there is no issue with it but you need to have bitcoins in order to gamble. If you win there, there will be no problem in terms of withdrawal.

But since you are here to look for the ways of earning the bitcoins, i would not recommend you gambling because you might lose all your money if you gamble. captcha solving might be good for a beginner like you but i will suggest you also try to learn trading.

You need to be very wary of anyone who approaches you on social media, and tries to drive you on a PM based conversation. Stake has had plenty of impersonating scammers doing this; enough for them to alert on the fact:

Yes, it is legit. But you talking about it like you are wanting to make money. I say this because you spoke of income and getting it through faucets.
DO NOT GAMBLE!! You will just lose your money the odds are not in your favour its not predictable and you guaranteed to mathematically lose. Plus it is addictive. Rather invest in the house.

Hello from Chain-Bet.com.

First of all, as people have already pointed out, Stake.com is a reliable & legitimate gambling site. It is run by the same administrators, who created PrimeDice.com. These sites are gambling only and does not accept investment in the bankroll. To play here, you have to have your Bitcoin deposited in the site wallet.

Alternatively, you can try the gambling site we run, i.e. Chain-Bet.com. It is on-chain, i.e. run on Bitcoin's blockchain. We are operating since May 30, 2016. Being an on-chain game, we do not have any site wallet. Each bet is a discrete on-chain transaction. Recently, we are accepting investment in the bankroll as well.

If you are interested in on-chain bitcoin gambling, we welcome you to check us out @ https://www.chain-bet.com. Please keep in mind that gambling is for fun. You should never invest something that you can not afford to lose.

The first rule of crypto is not to believe to what others say, even if he is your dad. Just do your own research, and never believe people on telegram or any forum, wanting something from you.
I would not recommend doing gambling with cryptocurrencies at all either.

Haven't tried it. Sir, if you are 52 I'd reckon that you'd want to actually enjoy the twilight of your life. Gambling is addictive and if you are new to crypto -

it is very inadvisable to engage in crypto gambling.

I can understand that you want some insight into the site, and here's my personal opinion, I haven't tried it. So to somewhat assist you here's my personal take:

1. I actually went and visited the site and noted the 5 letter domain. Judging from the high powered domain name, I'd roughly estimate the value of the domain (the website's name) to be roughly, 6 to 8 digits in value. This means that the name of the website is really expensive.

2. So what? You'll ask. Well, if a website domain is expensive, it means that the owner needs to recoup his expenses in maintaining the site and has to make money from business generated on it. Take that what information you will.

3. Based on the chat box and visitor count on the site - it has a significant amount of players.

4. Most of the games are casino related, and I noticed that there are no sports or esports. Dice, Baccarat, blackjack, etc. Now, I have a question myself to you. As a non crypto person, would you entrust your "fate" or ability to win, on an unseen algorithm that will decide for you?

5. It seems that the site is "reputable" - having a strong domain name - is 1 indication that they are a serious player in the space, so I would assume, not based on experience, that yes, if somehow you manage to win, you will be able to withdraw your earnings.

6. Sometimes google can help. Here's how it works: in google, type these:

(Name of website) plus (bad word or whatever you fear is going to happen to you)

Try it!

Before anything else, make sure you understand that you will engage in a "GAMBLING" site therefore activities there are pure "GAMBLING".

Since you are new to crypto, it is not recommended to be involved in gambling and the fact that you are searching how to earn bitcoins and want to value your time, instead of earning, you might end up losing on the process. Stake.com is legit, at least in how it's run today but since it's gambling, it will not guarantee you to earn profits in return.

Learn to trade instead or purchase Bitcoin with your own money then hold. You will risk some money here too but worth to put a shot compare dealing in the usual gambling.

The good news is that you have plenty of options for gambling online with Bitcoin. As the currency has grown in popularity among online gamblers, more and more gambling sites have decided to accept Bitcoin as a way of depositing funds tutuapp. Most of them allow withdrawals using the cryptocurrency, too.

Doing faucet to make bitcoin is also waste of time, better try some other ways like freelancing or even trading if you have experience in trading.

One day i ate lunch in this new resto and heard 2 people talking about gambling (not eavesdropping though, they talk loud). The only word i remember is primedice. When i searched it in Google im surprised that this is super legit. I talk people in chat.

I have famliy, 1 daughter, 1 son, my wife passed away 10 years ago (bus accident). I have survived until now to make my children stand on their feet. Gladly they finished highschool and working in a manufacturing factory with minimum wage. Now, if i go to have a partner i dont have any time life... and all i want to experience before i die is to sleep in a royal suite in a hotel. I am struggling to win at primedice but i slowly making any payout. I think i only have 6 months left...
