From Bitcoin to Tether there's a large range of cryptocurrencies out there with so many different features and unique uses. They all have a range of speeds, market caps and size in terms of popularity. Bitcoin, being the most successful of these coins due to it having the largest price and is far more well known than other currencies. Although it is quite slow and very difficult to mine, it is still the most popular. "In the last ten years, we have seen the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry thrive and adapt to our economic and technological landscape. During that period, the global market cap rose from near zero to its all-time-high of $800 billion in early 2018" However, recently it has been found that alot fo these coins are far more power consumptive than they're worth, for example, bitcoin uses up 2.25 gigawatts of power. Which is very close to the consumption of switzerland. However, to fight this proof of stake coins like DASH and IOTA started to emerge which are far less consuming. "Artificial Intelligence has been steadily improving as a field, and in recent years it has been recognized by the blockchain industry. Cryptocurrencies such as DeepBrainChain and Velas place a high focus on AI, using it to maintain their blockchains and set the agenda for their milestones. AI is an extremely useful asset in this area, as cryptography focuses on large quantities of data, and nothing handles the processing of data like AI. The next ten years will see AI expanding its reach further, and coins that utilize it will go far." For more from this source go to - https://cryptocurrencynews.com/next-decade-cryptocurrencies/

In the next decade I think bitcoin will the one who will survive. Like you said bitcoin is the most popular coin here in crypto world so people will always patronized bitcoin. People are always to choice coin investment which have a good reputation and already earned trust from past few years like bitcoin that already live for a decade and still counting.

That article is too long to read by me. Just a simple explanation if the bitcoin is the last forever crypto but for another coin like altcoins and this is always become short-medium range crypto. The domination of bitcoin has already proven it and basically it doesn't need even to mention a new coin consider about the fact that it can even be a scam project in the next decade or even a few months later. Basically, almost all of altcoins have a big change to be died.

This is more like a spam to me. You laid it perfectly with keyword and url but with format of a regular spammer not intending to make it easy for forum users to look at by providing space makes it like you just copy it and post it here. Shilling for DeepBrainChain and Velas may sound like the coin you supported has been broadcast to thousands of users here but to be honest, if these coins can't get to have at least a price of 0.05USD, they'd be ignored except for braindead investors who truly believe to the team.

For a start, bitcoin will definitely be one of those cryptocurrencies to make it that far, the day bitcoin fails (doubt that'll ever happen) that's the day the industry collapses. Majority of the current stablecoins available won't make it that far as new and improved stablecoins will take over. Some of this new stablecoins will be very centralized like Libra while others won't.
The next set of current cryptocurrency that won't make it that far will be the so called dApp based cryptocurrency although ethereum still have some good fight in it. Bitcoin and ethereum will be like Gold and silver of the cryptocurrency industry although this isn't a gaurantee that ethereum will still be the second largest trading coin but there's every gaurantee, it'll still be valued based on it's vast utility purpose.
As for the AI based tokens been the main focus in the OP, i don't have much idea on that area although we all are aware of the popular saying "AI is the future" so I won't be surprised if they become very popular in the next decade or so. Nevertheless, the industry would be more matured by then so we expect better projects then what we currently have.

Given how much the cryptocurrency has been able to achieve in its 10 years of existence, anything can happen in the next 10 years. In a good way, of course. A lot of new ideas and improvements of the old ones are waiting for us in the future. Most of the altcoins will disappear, obviously. I think there will be bitcoin and a few altcoins that have their own unique ideas.

I'd go with only 10 among the current top 100s. This was the top 15 list in may 26, 2013 How many of these do you all recognize? The market has became much more dynamic now. And in 10 years, there would be much more advance blockchain that would have no issues currently being faced by the crypto at this time. Though they may have trouble in their own, they'll again be replaced by more modern forms.

Most of them won't. Something popular like Bitcoin, Ethereum or Monero which could not be easily replaced may remain. But the ones that could be easily replaced like Tether would be replaced by a better form of stablecoins. Coins issued by exchanges too may suffer a lot as we move towards new generation and technology of exchanges.

It's impossible to predict which altcoin will survive, but i think that only altcoins with a clearly and useful use case have the possibility to survive.

it is clear that that blockchain and cryptocurrency is still evolving and many more new things are still coming. i think we will have a set of new coins and tokens before the next decade but i strongly believed that the top crytocurrencies in the likes of bitcoin, ethereum, tether, bitcoin cash, litecoin and cardano , ripple has stand their ground and will never disappear.

The coins with real use and solving a problem are the ones that will survive. Bitcoin is a store of value and the most people use it, Ethereum is basically a computer on the blockchain where you can create decentralized applications on top of the network that are transparent, cannot be modified, and operate with no centralized party. That is definitely a use case that will be needed but many networks are doing the same thing with faster transactions and with faster development now so will ETH survive ? IDK they have to keep up with the competition. Bitcoin does not have that problem because theres no other serious competitor for the Store Of Value usecase

Just because a cryptocurrency utilizes next generation technologies such as machine learning, big data or AI, doesn't mean they will necessarily survive into the next decade.
Personally I don't believe that any of the current altcoins we see today will survive into the next decade, barring perhaps BitTorrent, Ethereum and maybe EOS. These ones are built on, or have become major protocols, so they should stick around until something comes along to blow it out of the water.
I also think that the successor to IOTA could be a prominent coin in future, since IoT is definitely going to pick up huge momentum soon.

Top ten crypto currencies are going to stay on their places, because I can barely imagine that there will be another coin that will get into top 10 crypto currencies, because during the last several months, absolutely no potential project went live.

So far,its very difficult to predict what will be the outcome of crypto scene by the next decade and mentioning any cryptocurrency
that might be still existing over that period would only spur false hope. Other than that, I'm still very positive that Bitcoin will be
widely adopted and will remain strong be able to survive over the next decade.

In the coming years, Bitcoin will still the rule the cryptocurrencies world. Altogether ETH and top 10 altcoins (per market capitalization) will survive. There could be some ups and downs for other blockchchain platforms, as compitition is getting tough day by day. With introduction of new versions or fork, corresponding coin will definitely shine. From the other good projects, I see, MultiVAC is emerging.

The speed has improved a lot compared to those days that where most transactions were stuck because of the network spam. As for mining, it's hard to mine because of its difficulty and you must consider that it's pricey that's why you can't simply obtain it easily.
