I think it really did not affect much of my reputation because I always keep it low key and I know my limits. And I see to it that there is just that enough amount for my habit to be fed. That is also one good thing about gambling nowadays wherein; you can just be at home and gamble unlike before when you really have to be physically present at casinos.

Only in the eyes of GOD I tarnished my reputation, but in front of others, they even don't know I am gambling. My wife, family and friends don't know it, so I don't have to worry about reputation at all. I am a strict follower of my religion and that is the only one that I am affected with aside from that it's good.

Hiding is not good especially to our family because they are the ones who can help us directly in case we will face problems with gambling.
As for me, my family knows I'm gambling and the good thing is that they don't judge me negatively, they know that gambling is risky but I'm glad they believe that I am responsible also.

I have face problems in the past like I lose money that is not suppose to be spent in gambling, but I am thankful I was forgiven by my wife and I promise to her that I will never make the same mistake again.

Some of my friends admire me when I win some easy money from gambling.
While some would look down on or make fun of me when I lose some.

That means it doesn't affect you at all, that's what you should do, don't mind them because they are not risking their own money and therefore they don't understand how it feels to risk your money while you are enjoying gambling. It's normal to lose, everyone even experience more loses that winnings in gambling because that the nature, gambling sites are into business to be profitable, not to give people money.

Your friends are maybe not you real friends because when you win, they admire you or maybe celebrate with your when you spend your winning, but when you lose, they will judge you because they will not get anything from you, that's common in this world.

The good thing is that we keep our activities a secret, especially bad activities like gambling. Whereas, for us, gambling is not bad, but people already think that is not good. Some people will feel Basic Gambling is bad (in the sense of view).

Because, in my country if there is someone playing gambling. That means the person is bad, unemployed, there is no work without thinking about the results obtained in playing gambling.

No one really cares on what you gonna do since its your money to spend but you cant avoid those people who do have sharp eyes on minding other peoples business.

We cant avoid those type of people in the society where they do look into peoples activity and when it do connects with gambling they do already conclude that you are already an addicted one and already messes your life with it without even knowing the whole truth behind.

I guess right now many gamblers will prefer to play gambling online because they don't want to tell other people. That's subjective. If you go broke, then definite you and your gambling ways will be put in a bad light. Become successful and people will even look up and admire you. How do you think professional gamblers make money? It's not just because of their technique and winnings. They get support, financers and sponsors. Well if you are in a profession where people are looking up to you as a teacher, then it will ruin your reputation if they know that you are into gambling if you are a professional and you are into gambling better confine your gambling online in your room, so people will not know it.

Agree with this. Don't let your gambling activity ruin your image if you have such kind of a profession. It does not mean that you should stop gambling if you have a "more decent career", but you should be more careful not to expose your gambling hobby. You might lose your job because some companies or offices follow such strict regulations on their employees.

Absolutely right. There is no point disclosing your gambling identity in the first place, irrespective of the nature  of the job, we all understand that gamblers are always seen as kids-like sets of people and once you find yourself in a career job where so much is expected of you, common sense demands that you keep your gambling status, thank God for online and crypto gambling. I think that whether online or offline, gambling is not met to give a person a bad image or reputation if there is nothing negative associated with it.
Though, expect the religious beliefs of a person term it as a sin or evil. Then I think a person who pays huge respect to their religion shouldn't involve in it if their conscience won't judge them right.
