During the weekend some posts from team members have been deleted in the Xaya ANN. While you could argue about that, since they contained tracking URL’s for Taurion game signup, which looked like ref-links, there was this post deleted from a Xaya team member as well:

There is nothing wrong with that post, no ? Mistakes happen, but with the deletion of some other posts, this looks kind of dodgy Roll Eyes

A common reason for deletion is posting multiple posts in a row. Was that the case?

There's a couple of handled reports for two or more consecutive posts in 24h so that's probably why.

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciated.

There were regular posts in the ANN, because prizes have been added to the Taurion competition (like here, scroll down a bit too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1784048.msg52297218#msg52297218), but it was no flood of posts inside minutes. There was always some hours or even days between the posts.

Maybe it was just some misclick from a mod, but it's still annoying to get legit posts deleted.

Days is fine but mere hours isn't. It should be one per 24 hours. If it's merely a bump then the previous post should also be deleted as well though.

Next time, just consolidate your posts.
No reason to make a new post when you can just edit your previous post and add your reply to that one.

If you're doing it purely for bumping your thread, it's once per 24 hours and then you should also remove the previous bump.
Not sure if you have to remove the previous bump if it's a legit reply to someone.

That is what happened with the screenshotted/deleted post and it's kind of weird rule then. Lets say you make an announcement post and users reply with questions or remarks. You then wouldn't be allowed to reply for 24h. If you do, you would have to remove the original post. Or you would have to edit the original post and give your reply there - which then makes no sense for chronological reasons.

From my understanding, if you make a reply and someone make a question after your reply, you can reply that even your previous post has been a few minutes ago.
If the last post has been made by you, you can only edit that.
You can bump your thread after 24 hours. But you should delete the previous post.

Not sure if you have to remove the previous bump if it's a legit reply to someone.
To be safe, I suggest to copy the previous post, make a new one, paste the previous post and then add what you want.
Please someone correct me if any of statements is wrong

You can reply to questions from other users. The bump rules only apply to pointless bumps and updates so they don't clutter the thread.

What will happen if someone delete their previous bumps before 24 hours (only few sections were restricted from deleting the posts before 24 hours) and then bumping their thread again? Is there any way to detect these kind of bumps.

Sorry for the off topic,I had this question for very long!

As far as I know you should wait until 24 hours after your previous bump. Bumping a thread eariler than 24 hours is clearly against the rules.
I just found an old thread. I think it is helpul. Here is the link:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=860792.0
According to a reply which has been made by hilariousandco, Admins have access to deleted posts. So, that can be easily detected if you report any one bumps a thread more than once per 24 hours.

This can help: Active users and top posters in the past 1h, 24h and 7d
