No, it is not. Btc gold will be like the other coins which always increase and decrease, and it follows with bitcoin. I don't think that there is a safe currency because the cryptocurrency investment will have the risk which we need to accept. If you can understand the risk, then you can choose any coins at the market and hold it. But if I were you, I will invest in bitcoin only in a long time and don't invest in the altcoin for a long time because the price will be down deeper if bitcoin is down.

It is not any currency that can be good for trading, it is not any currency that can be good for buying and holding.

Many shitcoins have no purpose, they don't have a solid project, how do you expect something that doesn't have any solid project to increase in price?

are altcoins that are dying with each passing day, who will buy these altcoins to hold for over 2 years? If someone does that, then that person is at high risk of having big losses. I am not saying that with bitcoin the person will have no losses. But it is a matter of thinking a little:

bitcoin is limited, there are many lost bitcoins, there are many people who have not yet invested in bitcoin and if bitcoin has a big global adoption then its price will be very high. But what about these altcoins? why the hell people should  buy these altcoins? That's what people should think of when choosing any currency to trade or hold.

For storage, none of the existing coins except Bitcoin is suitable. But those coins that I named earlier and those that you named are suitable for trading, because if you trade any coin with great volatility paired with BTC, then you can increase the volume of BTC on your wallet.

I think if want to minimze loss, BTC to fiat already best choice. Because i think if we lose from BTC fiat, it still have chance to back again. That is why it is minimize loss. And if want to get big profit, just use big capital and hold until your target price reached. At least it is safest thing to do if want to minimize lose in trading activity. Better than trading with altcoins and get full speculation.
