Blockpass Quiz giving away $1000 of it's PASS token to the winner

Blockpass (www.blockpass.org) is holding its second quiz - with questions based on cryptocurrency, blockchain and Blockpass.

There's a couple of weeks until the registration closes and the questions go out.

The quiz forces you to download the Blockpass app. This could easily have been achieved through Google forms or similar software, I'll pass.

Forcing people to register on your app with the hopes of winning $1,000 is sketchy.

There is nothing sketchy about this - it's just a marketing tool we are using to promote our app.

Blockpass has created a mobile app designed to give individuals back control over their personal information whilst still allowing for compliance with regulations. To make the app more useful to people and companies, it needs to have as wide a userbase as possible - hence us trying to give people an incentive to have the app by providing a quiz as a fun method that was popular in the past, and with a significant reward for the winner.

As you can read in the (short and succinct) Terms and Conditions here https://www.blockpass.org/quiz-terms/, there is little required in order to participate.

Then if you're just doing a quiz, why on earth people will forced to download it? You can make a quiz via forms with promoting your project too, I've seen some projects did it in the past.

Because the more people that have the app, the more useful/attractive it becomes. The quiz is an incentive to download the app - a promotional/marketing tool.

Indeed, well people use different strategies and techniques and their way isn't a good idea. For some reason people like us seems to have bad idea on it, but I guess those people whose interested have to download it if they undoubtedly wanted to experience it.
