Hello people,

I am stuck at an ATM, I tried to sell BTC and now it says that its waiting for confirmation. I am waiting almost 1 hour and nothing. The ATM is in a coffe bar and the staff does not know nothing about the ATM. It is just here by rent. Has anyone had such situation? Thanks!

Has the transaction been confirmed in your wallet? There's a bit of a spike of unconfirmed transactions right now, maybe your transaction fee is too low.

If the transaction has already confirmed in your wallet you'll probably have to get in touch with the ATM provider. Is there any company name on the ATM?

If the transaction isn't marked as confirmed in your wallet, you could try doing a RBF transaction. What wallet software are you using?

Check on the side of the ATM, there is usually instructions about who to call or what to do in situations where there is a problem.

Normally these ATMs will not release the money without entering a code, so you shouldn't need to sit around all day waiting for your money.

Could you provide us the model number of the machine so we can provide better help?

I have set the transaction fee to medium in my wallet. The staff does not know which provider is it. Oh my God now I need to wait the whole day here. I am using a wallet from Google Play store, it is called just Bitcoin Wallet. But until now I have had no problems with it.

Yes, of course is it important that I get the money today. That is the reason why am I selling it in the first place, but thanks a lot for advice.

Angell, I have to admit it's a little weird that this ATM is not have any info about owner or some phone / e-mail info? When viewed from the legal side that looks like some kind of illegal operation.

You just not have luck with fee, in time you send it, maybe it seemed enough, but in last 2 hours number of unconfirmed transactions is jump from some 4000 to 18 000, and your fee is too low at this moment. I doubt you have any option to increase fee in that mobile wallet, but if you post your transaction maybe someone can try to speed it up with some accelerator.

Yeap. I have noticed that. The owner also said that they have some problems today and that he will call me when he resolves the problem. He is a good man. He also gave me half of the money that I need and I left my personal info at him. So thanks guys for the advice.

That's really weird but yeah... there must be SOMEthing on the ATM that tells you the company. Second thing to do is locate the ATM yourself on an Bitcoin ATM locator

Then you'll know which company to contact. Good luck, keep the tx ID handy.

Similar issues were encountered with fiat ATM where the process takes several minutes. It keeps on counting the currencies, and some times after several minutes it won't dispense cash. Once reported to the banking company responsible for the same, and got to know the network failure is the reason for such issues. Maybe here too such kind of network issues might have happened.

Lol, I think I will have you in my record as the first man I have ever come across on this forum that will be using the ATM live, I have never really seen an ATM for bitcoin before, and honestly, I would not know how that operates, the only thing that I know about transaction of cryptocurrency is that when you send money to someone's, I think it goes through confirmation stage, and sometimes, that confirmation stage could even take more than 6 hours.

But now that it involves paying with coffee, I think the coffee seller should have already received a confirmation that he is expecting money from you, and should give you your coffee while he waits for the coin to drop in his wallet since we cannot cancel any transaction after it has started going through confirmation stage.

If the transaction haven't bet yet confirmed then move your wallet's BTC somewhere else or instead just block your wallet for a while this will buy you time to actually have to not get into a Scam ..or you can just contact the person who is responsible for installing this machine here ... For sure they have some contract or something therefore I think you can get the contact somehow and.let them know the situation.
