Doge ATH was 0.0173 usd and now its price is only 0.0023 usd, which means it's only holding 13% of its ATH value.

On the other hand, let's analyze BTC, let's say its ATH was $20,000 and now the price is $10,000, which means its holding 50% of its ATH value.

Therefore, it's not wise to sell because you will lose money with what happen to DOGE and you need to see BTC to grow more than 7 times for you to break even if you bought your DOGE at its peak. I hope you'll understand my analysis, bottom line, don't sell.

And other than fundamental analysis, Dogecoin has more transactions compared to the other top 10 cryptocurrencies. Because of its transaction speed and its fees, it allows us to send more than what we can do if we are using Bitcoin, ETH, and others.
holding it is the right choice, for now, If I were you I would not sell it unless I am in need of money urgently.

As expressed by other response on this thread of yours, this may not be the best time to sell DOGE as the price is really low but then again we don't know if and when it can be making a comeback so the decision is all up to you. In case you really have big doubts then I am suggesting that you wait until next year as there might be some possibility of recovery for DOGE. I also have a little hoard of DOGE and I already decided to forget them until 2020 and whether the value can go higher or even by then I would let them go.

The first Doge I bought was around 500sat but has lost most of its BTC value since, if the project BTC bull comes and reach the height of $50k and above then expect many of these ALtcoins to dump to nothing, why would I want to hold ALtcoins when Bitcoin is raging

Personally, If I'm in your shoes, I will move everything on bitcoin months ago. It's obvious that most altcoin investors are shifting to bitcoin to make money because the altcoin market is bleeding. The question is how much DOGE to currently have?

I know that DOGE is not a shitcoin, however, if you are thinking of creating money in this market then it's better to shift them to bitcoin. This is just my opinion though, the final decision rest in your hands.

Doge coin still have the potential to increase in the future, so my suggestion is that you sell only a part of your DOGE holdings and exchange them to BTC, if you need Bitcoin fast. Otherwise, keep holding your Doge coins, if you don't make a profit you won't lose anyway.

You could sell now into Bitcoin and then wait for altcoins to start recovering, maybe the last of quarter of 2019. And then buy back your DOGE. Or could just wait fo altcoin season to come back.

No one can tell on what would be the future price of Doge even with Bitcoin it do have the same questions on mind.The difference is that
BTC is way more being supported.We dont know on what future lies ahead with DOGE.If you do want to convert to Btc then its your choice
since its your dogecoin after all just make it sure that you wont regret.If you do look if Doge is worth to hold then its your choice.

You should know that doge is specific coin, surviving all this years on it`s own. There are spikes in doge price charts, for that to catch you need to be very patient.

If in the past when you bought DOGE at a cheap time, it would not wrong if you sell it now to BTC.
Because I think DOGE coins are not suitable for us to make as an long-term investment.

The most important is you've got something from DOGE.

In every decision we made, we have to think it many times and not just think of today but for the incoming. We know DOGE don't have a good price today, not even we saw it moving up but just it only sleeping dead. You can try to see the latest chart of doge and it is always getting dumped and what you can expect from a dead coin with no development combined with hyperinflation? Bitcoin always becomes the best choice to convert but it's very confusing to consider about doge can be pumped anytime and it much better to keep some in doge and you can put the rest into the bitcoin to make sure you have gotten the safe investment.

It's not a question if OP can hold longer, BTC is the most dominant coin in the market, hence, we can expect that altcoins like DOGE has to rely on the success of BTC before it will start to grow.

Between the 2 of them, BTC is more stronger and profitable, so people who are not afraid of taking a higher risk, would always choose to put their money to bitcoin, in OP's case, he needs to evaluate if selling his DOGE for BTC will not make him lose a lot since DOGE currently is already very cheap.

I don’t even see any mistake here man, If you have so much money in  doge and the total money is still something to wrote home about, yes change it to bitcoin because I dint see altcoins doing well at all this year but I see bitcoin  having some greater increase before the end of the year, so it would be like you using one stone to kill two birds, invest in bitcoin, pull it out the profit when it is high and then buy the doge coin back if you still believe that they will still have some level of growth.

I could not say anything about Doge now because so many beautiful project that I have really vouched for in the past has been full of disappointment to me, and there is no altcoin that I really trust not to disappoint me right now until they prove otherwise.
