I am Michael Bailey, the Localization Director of
Nexxus Rewards, a position I have held since February 2016, just two months following the founding of the company. I have known Bob Wood for 5 years and I have worked for him for 4 years.
I chose to work for
Nexxus for the first year
without pay. Because I am fluent in Latin American Spanish, I translated all of the
Nexxus University courses, including the addition of video subtitles to LA Spanish. Needless to say, it required a SIGNIFICANT amount of time and effort. Why would anyone devote such personal time and energy to a company that he or she didn’t fully support and trust?
I chose to work
without pay because I had worked with Bob Wood for a year at that point and found him to be probably
THE most ethical, honest, sincere and transparent person I have ever met, let alone worked with, and I don't say that lightly. In addition, Bob Wood is one the most creative entrepreneurs or businessmen I’ve ever met. His rectitude, probity and ingenuity combined are the reason why
I ultimately chose to work
without pay. I truly believe in the potential of the company and the integrity of Bob Wood. Although I am a paid employee today, my salary remains very low so that the company can devote more of its resources to successfully launching
Nexxus Rewards. Fortunately, I have other income which allows me to do this.
I have a varied background but my formal education is a BSc in Accounting and Computer Science. I've been an accountant, corporate controller and technical support analyst for a number of different companies in various industries over a 35-year period and I've witnessed every imaginable type of scam. I’ve also dealt with countless unethical, unscrupulous and disingenuous board members, CEOs, CFOs, CTOs, managers and employees.
To anyone who wonders why I waited until now to join Bitcointalk and speak up . . . I am not familiar with Bitcointalk.org as my function within the company does not deal with marketing, promotion or the technical details of
Nexxus Rewards or
Nexxus Coin (NXX). Therefore, I've had no reason to join this forum, until now. I was also not aware of the nature of the "scam" warnings and at first considered them to be commonplace in the cryptocurrency industry.
The type of rash judgment that led to the current misunderstanding of what really occurred did so precisely because of the lack of due diligence in the rush to judgment and/or carelessness. Did anyone ever consider clicking on the LinkedIn links below the management team photos and titles? Obviously, someone was diligent enough to audit the management team but obviously not sufficiently so to contact other members of the Nexxus management team.
I have worked very hard over the past 4 years to help Bob Wood bring
Nexxus Rewards, a new cryptocurrency-based customer loyalty program to the mainstream, a program in which cryptocurrency is embedded within the program and is not immediately obvious to the charitable and non-profit organizations, merchants or shoppers. However, at a later time, when their reward points increase in value due to the automatic buyer demand for the
Nexxus Coin (NXX), they’ll wonder why and begin to investigate cryptocurrency of their own accord.
This is a step that was very carefully designed to assist in the adoption of cryptocurrency by the mainstream public.With
Nexxus Rewards, EVERYONE wins, not simply the company. Charities and non-profit organizations win by signing up with
Nexxus and enrolling their membership as
Nexxus shoppers and then encourage those members to patronize
Nexxus merchants. In exchange, such organizations receive 20% of the marketing fee paid by merchants. Merchants win because shoppers now have a reason to return to their store . . . to redeem their reward points, which are
Nexxus Coins, which can appreciate in value. Shoppers win because in addition to the reward points they earn, they can earn a portion of the marketing fee by referring their friends and family, in addition to the appreciation of the
Nexxus Coin as transaction volume increases.
Nexxus Rewards will buy these tokens from the public exchanges, thereby generating built-in utility or buyer demand.
Nexxus Rewards is NOT a scam. Scams, scammers and liars do not engender the caliber of trust and confidence that I have in the management team.
Everyone on this forum knows full well that the vast majority of cryptocurrencies and crypto or blockchain-based projects ARE, in fact, scams. Everyone and their dog want to jump on the “get rich quick” bitcoin/cryptocurrency/blockchain/FinTech bandwagon in the same way that people flocked to California in 1847 for the Gold Rush. When someone unfamiliar with the aforementioned industries loses money or gets hacked, they cry foul very quickly, blaming the company, the developer or the tech support representative for their loss because they are unwilling to accept personal responsibility. Even those who are familiar with these industries (like many on this forum) seem unwilling to perform a thorough due diligence before flagging something as a scam by contacting one of more members of the management team and asking them about any concerns.
I am also the administrator of the Nexxus Rewards Telegram group. I saw the post that
tvplus006 copied and pasted here. I banned him/her because I knew that his claim was illegitimate. Although I've never met him in person, I have spoken with Joe Pescia, our National Sales Director. He is not a "fake" team member. Furthermore, what would Bob Wood stand to gain by intentionally deceiving?
C'mon guys . . . we're all adults here and no doubt many of you have advanced degrees so there's no lack of intelligence. We're also human and fallible; we sometimes make mistakes, especially when we're excited and passionate about something. How many here are perfect and have never made an unintentional mistake or never makes mistakes? I certainly do. I have bolded every statement that says
I choose or
I chose because I willingly own my words and behavior and
I know that Bob Wood would
NEVER intentionally deceive someone.
