... Plus lol, aren't they beautifull crypto goods to collect for the pleasure of it ... That's the only reason why I would consider to buy that card but won't use it for the original purpose to store any coins on it, because of the above mentioned things... The card is pretty cool looking but that's all, you can't stop the greed, if this card becomes widespread among people, sometime an employee of the company will realize how much bitcoins are loaded to the cards and their system is developed by humans, and humans are greedy... They will find a way to take some bitcoins, not all bitcoins of course, but that's the way life is... So it will remain a fancy collectible thing for bitcoin lovers Using it as a collectible is the only thing we can think for now, since we can't still determine if this is safe or not. We can't guarantee bout its safety, there are a lot of questions to be answered and considered before we can guarantee that this is safe. Since passphrases are not auto-generated, it is already been coded in the card before its user can use it. It is possible for them to have a copy and that is really disturbing. It is a nice idea, only if it is only connected online to generate passphrase and not coded before even being handed to its users. If I were to buy this product, I will also use it as a collectible because of how cool the product is.

I see, there are cryptos allotted for each card, why not buy a real thing like ledger or trezor? Since it cost around $99 for the gold plated one, ledger is quite much cheaper and yet, you can store thousands of crypto, plus, you have your own private key? I think companies now are over-exaggerating things to create elegant designs but with limited functionality. Though, if you are rich enough and want to collect wallet cards, in your actual physical wallet, then there's no reason not to try it.

I like the idea of supporting promising pretty cool projets,
And get paid for supporting and advertising it, right? Don't tell me you do this for free. Plus lol, aren't they beautifull crypto goods to collect for the pleasure of it Lol yeah but I'd rather to collect commemorative coins than this. -------- I don't trust wallet of this kind.
Absolutely. Like wth, you don't own the private key then it's not your coins.

There is trust involved in ALL wallets unless you created your own with a set of dice, PERIOD. Trezor and Ledger could have backdoors in the software.... no matter what, there is a trust factor. Based on ZERO issues with BTCC (Bobby's original company in the space) being compromised, I would trust that the proper precautions were taken to keep your crypto safe with this new project. Besides, this is targeted to new people to the space. It gives them an EASY way to HODL their crypto. I like that Bobby is trying to push the space forward. Seeing the complaints about this comes from WELL VERSED crypto people and it's unfair. To the complainers/haters...... I'd like to see a better idea for newbies based on no trust if you have one......

~To be fair this isn't 100% terrible, I very foolishly bought something similar from Bitswiss, and put a few bitcoin on it, they stayed for years and never went anywhere. They were legit and they even switched their focus and stopped selling wallets. Now this company, I don't know and would I do it again like that? No. I'd want to generate my own Private key and have some sort of scratch off sticker included.
but it IS 100% terrible! unless you are only using the card for its looks and not putting any coins in it, i don't recommend it to my worst enemy. you are putting all your trust into a company that you don't even know and is brand new with 0 history. if one company in the past hadn't scammed you it doesn't make the whole idea a good one. and it is not just about them scamming you, maybe they were shitty and generated a wrong key, encrypted it wrong,... and after you scratch things off you won't be able to claim back your money! Good lord, i thought i was the only one who shared this thought. Damn, their wallet is pretty cute but has low level of security. So basically all that any thief has to do is to steal the card from you and he/she can have access to your funds because we have both the private key and its passphrase all on the wallet. OMG, this is terrible, i was thinking they would at least make users choose their own passphrase which in this case will serve like a pin to a normal crypto mobile wallet.

I don't trust wallet of this kind.
Its pure junk, its for someone who does not understand Bitcoin. Never ever re-use same address, stay private.

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling." Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009 Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.

Its pure junk, its for someone who does not understand Bitcoin. Never ever re-use same address, stay private. +1 Usefull to have differents wallets for small amounts & pretty hot collectibles. The holder of a Ballet REAL Wallet is the only one who has the private key. -Don't you think that sophisticated counterfeiting is another large risk for these pre generated key wallets ? The package and website have detailed instructions in bold lettering for what the user needs to do to verify the authenticity of the wallet.

I have been going through the discussions from the start, but I believe this is more of a collectible card rather than using it as a wallet in larger masses. If it was to be a wallet, it could have been made without any number limitations like Ledger Nano. People not trusting on pre-funded coins should also have a read on crypto collectibles as well. There are 10-100 BTC pre-funded Casascius coins out there without being peeled and neither of these casascius coins have been a problem for any of the collectors AFAIK. The collectible market is little expensive at times with a 1 BTC first day funded Cas coin going for 6 BTC (approx) and a Kialara Moon suite going for over 3 BTC in auctions. I am not against any of the tech experts bad thoughts on physical ballet cards and physical bitcoins as a whole but they are one of the section to be explored for sure if someone is present in the cryptocurrency space. Though if I order/buy one in future I would never use this as a wallet, but it would be very much better to have it as a collectible good. At times, my thought is that it's far better to invest in crypto collectibles instead of highly volatile bitcoin. I never use bitcoin as a investment thingy but as a currency for global transactions. Cryptocurrency collectibles increase in prices over time and are not related to the bitcoin prices which will be very helpful during massive volatilities.

Hey It look like the Ballet wallet is more like a ColdStorage wallet rather than an hardware one. So yes, it can be compared to the ColdKey card. But the Satochip card (Satochip.io) is really a hardware wallet. Keys are generated and stored into the secure chip and never leaves it. You can create multiple address and it support all the Bitcoin, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash features. All these projects aim the same goal : easy crypto adoption. The card form factor is really cool and people like it because they use such cards everyday ! I think the Satochip Shop will be open this week Just for your information...
