I'm in contact with the guy. You're right, it's suspicious to mee too. No way to see the machine runing, only if we come in NZ. I checked, the company is not registered in canada or NZ. When the answer is "you have to pay in crypto, only, via our web site; if you don't trust us, wait", it stinks a scam, sure.

It is just not scientifically/physically possible to do what they are claiming their miners can do.

their Lyre miner claims to be able to switch between BTC, LTC, ETH, and DASH.  That doesn't seem possible. Also, 335 TH/S while consuming 600W of power of 110V or 240V?? for $5,000 USD? 20 decibels?  This tech would be vastly ahead of anything currently on the market. I have no doubt some mining manufacturers produce some uber miners which never hit the market but what is being claimed by Bitharp is too good to be true.
If their product worked as claimed, the mining industry would be revolutionized and this company would be the top dog. I think it's unrealistic. I'll wait for the reviews by reputable people in the mining space.

I traced the lyra picture to some Korean newspaper but I'm wondering what the harp was innitially as it's clear from the marking it is  also a modified image:


The address in Canada is from an office rental service, the one in NZ points to a house....

Anyhow, just from the specs you need to stay away from it, if this would be real nobody would sell it as you would get more in two weeks of mining.

Richmond street has no higher number than 150.
(Use Google Maps. Enter the address: 190 Richmond Street, Petone, Lower Hutt, New Zealand.
Then Zoom in and see that the Pin is on nr 150, which is the last building on the street).

Yeah, you can get that kind of cheap videos on Fiverr for 100$ especially if it's a 1 min two lines one.
Most of the lowe level ICO scams use them, it's also hard as hell to trace the order back, plus there are tons of professional sites with hundreds of actors, really searching in the haystack for them.

15k scammed already? For a maximum of 500$ in website/promotion/ads pretty lucrative.

I'll drop them a mail tomorrow but I doubt they will take actions soon, more reports by different persons would help, with a bit or a bit more luck the domain name might get suspended, unfortunately, I've never seen something like this happening (yet).

I’ve informed PR sites in the past about fake news (regarding a different mining equipment manufacturer scam site) and they told me they do not remove content. So, it is very highly likely that the press releases are going to be their forever.

You can submit a press release to businesswire for about 400-500 if im not mistaken. Then the rest of the sites will leech. So Unknowning people seeing such news on 'yahoo finance' will definitely think its real. It's really bad.

Go to a search engine and type:

bitharp

When the results are displayed, scroll down to find the BitcoinTalk forum post and click on that result.

Then, go back to the search engine and type

bitharp scam

When the results are displayed, scroll down to find the BitcoinTalk forum post and click on that result.

Post more replies on this thread so that there is more content for the search engines to crawl and archive.

Post a blog on your own personal or professional website that has the words "Bitharp" and "Scam" in the title / heading / URL, etc. And post the link here.
 
Get your friends to do the same.

Well – here is one of the suckers (probably the only one anybody will hear from).  I’m one of the lucky guys who mined back in CPU days and still have FU coin from then. 

I buy ASICS just to see what is going on from an engineering standpoint and even make them more profitable by taking them apart and never putting them back together again.  This earns $250 a month in electrical savings (anybody need S9 parts?).

I saw articles on this on all the feeds and, at a price of 0.4btc – not a problem, I really wanted to see this well-engineered liquid ASIC…

This hurt my pride (and feelings) as an enthusiast and senior software developer, but the 0.4btc won’t be missed.  However, this is going to be catastrophic for many since my assumption is they went to coinbase and turned fiat savings into btc to get in on the gold rush. Unfortunately, times have not changed, and we bought claims that didn’t exist before ever reaching Dawson.

The specs are so ridiculous, the video so odd and the after-payment offer of buy 2 get 1 free (on a rig that should be sold out) I knew something was up… I’ve been bored, and this gives me something to do for a bit.  They made a mistake somewhere in the registration of the sites that I’m sure I’ll find a common IP and start prodding.  The coin is currently being split with the same fractional bot all scammers use.

My thoughts:

I think you are all on the right track.  Finding who produced the video might not be as difficult as you think.  They are either professionals(?) or in on the scam.  I wouldn’t want my scammer face to be visible in a video posted on-the-line to the Interweb Highway Tubes, so we can assume they are really bad actors [pun].  I wouldn't want my face to be associated with a scam large enough to cause the very real possibility of violence.

One thing is for sure – we need to get the word out to keep others from ruining themselves financially.  I say take it to Reddit and let those animals out of their cage.
 
Following the press releases and articles also puts pressure on the source and authors, who like the "actors" will not like being associated with a scam of $5000 per person magnitudes.  A person who makes a living as an SEO wants to be seen an expert on several topics, seen but low profile, certainly not associated with this and become a reddit victim.

Freelance SEO’s scrape a living by pulling projects from sites like TrueLancer.  These are paid content... somebody is paying.  I have sent the site editors of every article written and reposted to different blogs by the same author why (specifically David Cox) would lend legitimacy to a company that popped into existence only recently… by making them sound like industry leaders.

Here are two authors I found consistent articles from that specifically tout this product as if they had seen it.
