Ethereum transfer delayed for days or dropped gulping Fee !

I tried to transfer ethereum from metamask to a crypto exchange. Even after a day it was in PENDING state.
I had to cancel after paying cancellation gas fee. Again I tried with a (it said faster transfer ) higher Fee and it got
dropped again ! I tried increasing speed at various points without any success losing gas fee. what's happening?


UPDATE : Got it through in 48 seconds now ! Was network too clogged last 2-3 days? what if it was critical or important ! And the worst part it it takes days to cancel even after payment of higher gas fee !

Maybe you didn't used the minimum amount of gas to send thru the transaction that might be the reason for such a long delay. You could use eth gas station to help you determine the required amount of gas needed to make your next transaction as swift as possible. https://ethgasstation.info

I had some issues two days ago as well. I do not know what the hell was going on with ETH network, but I tried to send some coins and it took ages to confirm. Have lost a lot of gas as well, but it seems working good now.

Thats true the Ethereum network was clogging and lots of pending transaction shown by Etherscan in the previous days, But i think the main reason of those pending transaction was cause by low gas price (gwie) but when i tried raised the gas price (gwei) fee it was send faster in that case i presume that nothing was happen serious on Ethereum Network just a plain gas fee issues. just try to raise your gas price (gwie) and set to 200000 gas limit im sure that the transaction will smoothly handle by the Network.

Transfering a ethereum is definitely hard qhen you're not wise because when you transfer ethereum you can make your gas price higher so that it will transfer faster. Most of us just prefer a low gas price so the impack of it in your transfer will get slower than you think but like i said if it has more gas you can transfer it imidiately.

The network was clogged in the last few days. But before you are willing to create a transaction in the network and as the people said above me you must try to see how much minimum gwei required to deliver your transaction instantly and putting it in the high priority of block to be verified by the network.
I usually paid 15 cents to make my transaction got delivered instantly.
