What do you mean by "going to work next ten years"?

If you are a beginner, please read through the forum, there are so many discussions already if bitcoin will still exist in the next years and so on. No one can tell you this with 100% whats going to happen within the next 10 years.

Of course it will. Its defined in code, it doesn't depend on any individual, Bank or State, it works in-spite of these, with or without them. Which is why its strong and valuable, we call it decentralization, the mere fact that it can't be shutdown or changed on a whim, like fiat money some altcoins can and therefore are worthless in comparison.

When we talk about bitcoin future there are two things that will come to mind. One would be bitcoin future which is an automated trading platform backed by a group of venture capitalists used by traders to trade Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. The second one would be bitcoin futures which means the price prediction of what will be the value of bitcoin in the future.

Correct me if I am wrong, I do believe that you are referring to the second one I mentioned and that is the future value of bitcoin. There are many speculations as to what will be the value of bitcoin next year , 3 years from now, after 5 years or 10 years. But one thing is clear now since the bubble and hype is already over we can assume that we will be seeing a bearish move on bitcoin on the coming years.

I cannot seem to see any reason why Bitcoin will suddenly stop "working" in the next 10 years. After a decade, I can feel that Bitcoin has already surpassed the worst of obstacles. It has been declared dead and buried countless of times; it has burst; it has been declared illegal and banned in a lot of countries; it has been labelled all kinds of things, and yet it is still here. I mean, can anybody or any government stop it? It's coming from them: it's an "unstoppable force."

And for as long as there are newbies like you joining the community, it cannot have any other direction but to the moon.

If you question function, I think bitcoin will still function in next 10 years, but about what bitcoin prices will be in next 10 years I can't predict it because there are many aspects that will affect price of bitcoin in next 10 years. If you want to invest in bitcoin it is better to first learn basic knowledge about bitcoin, if you already are sure, please invest some of your money.

There are many unexpected surprises in bitcoin, how do you believe that market will be bearish in future. If you were here before 2017 surely you also did not expect that bitcoin will touch exceptional ATH, well that's what might happen in future, unexpected things like 2017 ago. Hype and bubbles can come at any time, maybe when some whales want it back.

Honestly speaking, I believe that it will still exist after a decade starting from this year. People can go back to this thread (hopefully it won't be deleted) so that we will see on how huge the adoption will by that time.

I am sure many people don't believe what they saw in 2017 when bitcoin price could grow and increase so high. Many people who involved in bitcoin are shocked to see the price and people in out there will also get the same thing as us. Although bitcoin price now seems to stable at a price now, the price will have a chance to break higher price, and even it will pass the last time higher price in 2017.

So I also believe that bitcoin will still stay with us for a long time and no doubt about that. From time to time, it is normal to see the price will be up and down many times, but in a long time, bitcoin price will hit the very highest price. We could follow the journey while we can also make a profit from bitcoin or we don't want to join with other people who already make a lot of money from bitcoin. It's your choice, and it's better you think before deciding.

BTC will exist in the next few years, even more than 10 years,
maybe there really isn't any evidence or data,
but we can see future developments by looking at the development of bitcoin today,
Bitcoin is the answer to world economic problems, such as Venezuela,

Well, if you are plainly just asking if Bitcoin will work for the next ten years then YES it will work since cryptocurrency is an evolving subject and not only will Bitcoin work for the next ten years but will surely be 10x better than it is right now, Bitcoin has evolved throughout the decade and will continuously evolve alongside with the other things like technology and many more, this is truly based on my own insights though, don't fully grasp onto it or have too much expectations, but then again, Bitcoin will WORK no matter what.

Now it's really up to the OP if he wanted to join as early as today and reap his rewards in terms of profit right after the halving next year.

This is so right. It have existed for the past 10 years and have given so many benefits to many of us. And with all the establishments and merchants who are now accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment is one sign that the future looks good. The mass adoption we've been waiting for is slowly happening. With that, bitcoin will surely go another 10 years or even more than that. I'm positive about it.

A lot of the theory suggest that Bitcoin would exist in the future, but none of that can be guaranteed. Nobody can tell you that Bitcoin would always be the dominant coin out there and for Bitcoin to "work" in the future, adoption will have to increase. The reason for that is simple, because Satoshi Nakamoto developed Bitcoin to reduce the Block rewards for miners over time and the miners fees will then have to replace the Block reward to incentivize people to mine bitcoins in the future.

So, if there are no Block reward or very little bitcoins as a reward for mining in the future and transaction volumes does not increase, then Bitcoin might be in trouble. People should just continue to spread adoption to increase the transaction volumes to fund the miners fees to secure Bitcoin's future.

I'm shocked by that time and I'm just hiding my feelings from the people who are surrounding me because it's a hype. Although I wasn't able to hide it completely because there were people who asked me about bitcoin and invested at the highs and sadly they are still at lost right now.

Forgetting about that moment, bitcoin is here to stay and it's never late for those who still don't have it. I doubt it that there's a new coin that can kick it on its throne.

There are so many great things, fundamental knowledge you wanted to know. Do you have any doubts about the existence of bitcoin? 10years of existence and still continuing to develop and grow is just a sign that bitcoin is getting stronger.

As a beginner, for you to have asked about this question, I believe that you already know the whole concept of bitcoin which you must have read through this forum form many people and scholars that has said what they know about the invention of bitcoin.

Now, let us go over to the future, we all know the advantages of bitcoin to us in the aspect of our financial transaction, and how decentralized the coin is which is making it to become too difficult to hack and also difficult to trace, because of this is why people are so much into bitcoin, but I tell you that bitcoin is beyond just that and it’s a system that has a very great future, I have seen countries fight other cryptocurrencies like Libra, but yet still give their full support to bitcoin to succeed, so there is possibility of it being a global coin in future.

There is a bright future for bitcoin and some crypto coins because as of now only some people have knowledge on this kind of investments. I think bitcoin will be the one who's gonna blow out after its halving time, and as soon as that happens more people will be onto bitcoin because as we all know there's a lot of money here in crypto world if you really know what you do here. As of now I recommend to hodl if you have bitcoins in your wallet and just wait for the halving to come.
