hello all,

i am Paraskewas from the Emerald Core Team.
we are looking for a faster wallet solution to handle the large blockchain of our coin.

Electrum is a favorite option to solve this.

is there any documentation or examples to adapt electrum server and wallet to a litecoin clone?

Search electrum Ltc?

electrumltc.org is probably the wallet you're after. (I havent personally used it though).

You could run litecoin core, it's blockchain only stands at about 12gb.

I have personally used Electrum LTC from https://electrum-ltc.org/ , and it is certainly one of the best wallets for this coin, especially if used in combination with hardware wallet. Regarding setting up Electrum server, this is link where you will find all the information you need : https://github.com/kyuupichan/electrumx

+ tutorial : https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum-server/blob/master/HOWTO.md

As far as I know, there's no rigid porting/forking guide available on the internet. If your blockchain is similar to Litecoin, then you might focus on Electrum LTC and start your work from their source.

If you don't have any developer that could do that, then I suggest hiring a developer that worked or contributing across various Electrum build. Zcash, BTCP or LTC contributors might be able to do it for you.
